I am looking tat AA flight from Barranquilla Columbia (BAQ) to Barcelona (BCN) with connection in Miami. BAQ arrives at 6:05p and BCN leaves at 7:10p. Can I make this with checked bags? What about carry-on? Will I have to go thru Immigration and Customs? Thanks
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, customs, and security. That is a very difficult connection, bordering on impossible.
American Airlines have changed our time of connecting flight. Now due to depart from MIA to SJO at 18.13, after arriving in MIA from LHR at 16.25. Is that enough time between flights?
It's not impossible but leaves very little time to spare.
Traveling from Los Angeles, arrive Miami 4:40pm, connection flight to Guayaquil departs at 6:34pm (2 hour 4 min layover)....is that enough time?
Yes, that is plenty of time. All you have to do on your way to Ecuador is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hello, arriving from PHX in American , 1 hour 30 minutes layover, then taking LAN flight to Lima Peru, is this enough layover time to make the connecting flight to Lima, are the terminals close to each other?? Thank you for your help.
They are on opposite sides of the airport. This is just enough time if the flight from Phoenix is on-time. you have to go through security again in the J-gates to access your LAN gate.
Thank you very much.
We have a 40 minute layover in MIA to change planes for St. Thomas. The flight to St. Thomas is the last one out that night. Incoming and departing flights are both on American. Is this too short a layover?
it's possible if the first flight is on-time.
Looking at booking a flight from Jamaica through Miami to LAX. We've missed a connecting flight there before and know Miami can be a bear to get through everything. We would be landing at 7:21pm and the departing flight is at 9:32pm, I'm sure the last flight of the day and probably the one we missed 12 yrs ago for our honeymoon. 2 hr and 11 minute layover. Both flights are AA. With checked luggage. What's the likelihood of making the connecting flight?
It's possible if the flight from Jamaica is on-time. The lines shouldn't be too bad that late at night.

I am flying with American AIrlines from Havana, Cuba landing in Miami 10:38am. My next flight (also American Airlines) is at 12:38pm from Miami to New Orleans. Do I have enough time to go through customs etc? I am travelling with 3 friends also.
That should be just about enough time if everything goes smoothly.
We are travelling from New York to El Salvador via Miami. We have a layover of 1h 28 min in Miami. Is that enough time (we have checked baggage)? THANKS.
If both flights are on American that is enough time. All you have to do in Miami is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi, I m looking for a flight that has a tight 1 h 29 min layover in Miami. We ll get on in Freeport, change in Charlotte and be in Miami at 22.26. The connection is at 23.55 via Finnair to Helsinki, wich leaves us 1h 29 min if the flights are on time. Will we have enough time to make it?
Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Freeport.
I am travelling to London from Trinidad and Tobago and I am passing through Maimi with american airlines and leaving miami with british airways, My layover is two hours. Will I have enough time to clear customs and retrieve my baggage and get to my next flight ?
That is barely enough time if everything goes smoothly.
