I fly into MIA from Las Vegas and have 3 hours layover before International departure to Sao Paulo. Flights are booked with separate airlines. Will this be enough connection time to collect bags and re-check in including customs etc? Thanks
What airlines are you flying? There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
Flying from Vegas with American Airlines arrive MIA 16:00 depart MIA on Latam Airlines at 19:05 bound for Sao Paulo. Enough connection time? Thanks!
You have plenty of time. Just claim your bags from American, take them to the South Terminal complex, re-check them with LATAM, and go through security.
Hi, I have an American Airlines flight to MIA from San Jose (Costa Rica) arriving at 5.10pm and then have a Qatar flight at 7.40pm to Doha. Will there be enough time for this layover? Is there anything I must do to speed up the process? Thanks!
Yes, that should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi There, I am travelling from JFK to St.Kitts and have a connecting flights as from JFK to Miami with layover of 55 minutes and then Miami to St.kitts. Will that be enough time to get MIA-SKB flight? Do I have to have to re-check the bags in miami? Do I have to cross immigrations or customs in miami? both flights are AA and its a single ticket all the way. Can I check in the bags all the way from JFK-SKB? Or do i have chances that i will not get my bags in time? Thanks for your help in advance.
All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on your way to St. Kitts. There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. you have enough time.
I am looking tat AA flight from Barranquilla Columbia (BAQ) to Barcelona (BCN) with connection in Miami. BAQ arrives at 6:05p and BCN leaves at 7:10p. Can I make this with checked bags? What about carry-on? Will I have to go thru Immigration and Customs? Thanks
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, customs, and security. That is a very difficult connection, bordering on impossible.
Hello, arriving from PHX in American , 1 hour 30 minutes layover, then taking LAN flight to Lima Peru, is this enough layover time to make the connecting flight to Lima, are the terminals close to each other?? Thank you for your help.
They are on opposite sides of the airport. This is just enough time if the flight from Phoenix is on-time. you have to go through security again in the J-gates to access your LAN gate.
We have a 40 minute layover in MIA to change planes for St. Thomas. The flight to St. Thomas is the last one out that night. Incoming and departing flights are both on American. Is this too short a layover?
Looking at booking a flight from Jamaica through Miami to LAX. We've missed a connecting flight there before and know Miami can be a bear to get through everything. We would be landing at 7:21pm and the departing flight is at 9:32pm, I'm sure the last flight of the day and probably the one we missed 12 yrs ago for our honeymoon. 2 hr and 11 minute layover. Both flights are AA. With checked luggage. What's the likelihood of making the connecting flight?
It's possible if the flight from Jamaica is on-time. The lines shouldn't be too bad that late at night.
I am flying with American AIrlines from Havana, Cuba landing in Miami 10:38am. My next flight (also American Airlines) is at 12:38pm from Miami to New Orleans. Do I have enough time to go through customs etc? I am travelling with 3 friends also.
That should be just about enough time if everything goes smoothly.
