  • 1h30 Connection from international to domestic flight

Hello, I will be travelling from Milan to Indianapolis with a connection in Miami. The problem is that American Airlines changed my flight and now I'll have a 1 and 1/2 hour connection in Miami, which is kind of short. Will I be able to make it in time with my mom without running ? Also, are there any ways to get around faster in the airport in case the gate is far ? Thank you for your help

Land in Miami at 7:35 PM, Depart at 9:15PM to Heathrow. Ive already booked the flight. Im 17 years old and willing to run through airport. Will i make it? Do i need to collect my bags? What stages do i go through at the airpot? (First time travelling alone)

All flights are with American airlines, I'm an irish citizen

You will go through US Immigration, customs, and security. You barely have enough time if everything goes perfectly.

Also you should not have to claim your bags since you are on an international to international connection through MIA on AA.

  • Transfer Time

Arriving MIA at 4PM from MXP on AA /terminal ? flt 207 Connecting at 7:05PM on AA to PHL/ terminal? flt 1265 Is that enough transfer time What is the walkthrough process

You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Miami TSA wait time

How much TSA wait time for a concourse D flight on Friday 5/20.

Nobody can precisely predict that, especially because you didn't post the time of your flight. I recommend getting there at least 2 hours early.

I'm arriving at Miami airport on AA207 from MXP at 3.50pm and leaving for MBJ on AA1515 at 6.08pm. Is 2 hours and 18 minutes sufficient time to catch the connecting flight? Also do I've to claim my luggage?

Since you are making an International to International connection on AA you will not have to claim your bags but you will have to go through US Immigration, customs, and security. Given the current state of security delays at major US Airports, this is a very difficult connection.

I am considering a flight from DEN to NAS with a connection at MIA. Arrive at MIA at 4:46PM, Depart at 5:33PM. So 47 minutes to get from gate to gate. Incoming flight is AA, outgoing flight is operated by Republic Airlines As American Eagle. Do I need to go through customs? And are the gates in the same terminal? Obviously, more time would be better, but I'm extremely limited on options that make sense.

There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time as long as your flight from Denver is on-time.

  • How much time for customs & going thru security for connecting flight?

I'm looking at a flight from Provo (Turks & Caicos) to Philadelphia with a connection in Miami. The time between the 2 flights is 1 1/2 hours. Is that enough time to go thru customs, claim/recheck luggage and go back thru TSA security?

That's a legal connection, but not realistic given the current state of TSA.

Next weekend. Arriving at MIA from BWI at 10:30a and departing MIA for SJO (San Jose Costa Rica) at 6:08p. First time traveling alone without parents. Is it far to the the connecting gate? Same terminal or different terminal? Any advice?

Correction: Arriving in Miami at 1:12p (not 10:30a) ^^

If both flights are on American then they are both connected inside security. You obviously have a ton of time for your connection. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Thank you! Yes, both American. So, do you think I will have to go through customs?

No, there is no US Customs when leaving the US. You will go through Costa Rican immigration and customs when you get to San Jose.

That makes sense! Thank you ZAP.

Hi Fling into Miami concourse d on American from Boston and then on American to Milan also concourse d. 3 hour layover. Is it possible to interview for global entry in J and return through security to make flight to Milan. If so I can schedule the interview for September.

It's possible but doing so will make your connection a lot more stressful.

Is 1 hour 10 minutes long enough? Do I need to go through security?Flying from ORD, arriving MIA 3:53 pm. Departing MIA to MAO (Brazil) at 5:03.

If both flights are on AA all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

Hi, I'm flying in from New York on Tuesday 17th and AA has changed my flight so now I've a 1 hour connection to catch my flight to Grand Cayman. Will this be enough time?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Can we make it?

We're flying into MIA from SEA on an American Airlines red-eye flight arriving at 8am in the North Terminal, Concourse D. We are not checking any bags. We are hoping to catch an 8:40am flight out of the South Terminal, Concourse H, to Nassau, Bahamas on BahamasAir. I have paid extra to be near the front of our American Airlines flight so we can de-plane quickly. And we will already be checked in with printed boarding passes for our BahamsAir flight. It looks like the SkyBridge is about 10minutes between the North and South Terminals. But are we going to have to go thru security again? Am i crazy to think we can make this connection? Or does it seems possible? It'll save us >$400 if we can make it. Any insight is appreciated.

Yes, you will have to go through security again. You didn't post what time your AA flight arrives so I don't know if you have enough time.

I know it was along post but I wrote that our AA flight arrives at 8am:)

In that case, no, 40 minutes is not enough time to change terminals and go through security.
