Hi! I'm flying fro MCO to GRU via MIA. My flight fro MCO arrives at 8:45 pm and The other departs at 10:00 pm. Is this enough time? Do I have to claim and recheck my bags? It's a flight booked entirely with AA in the same reservation.
Yes, that is enough time. You don't need to do anything with your bags in Miami on the way to GRU. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Thanks for the quick reply, Zap! Hope everything turns out fine!
We are traveling on 3/15/17 from Grenada to Miami on AA 982 arriving MIA at 11:24A. We depart on AA 139 to LAX at 12:43P. We have both Global Entry and Mobile Passport. Do we have enough time to clear customs, transfer our bags, and make flight 139? We have one hour and 19 minutes.
With Global Entry you might have a chance without checked bags, but I think with the checked bags it will make it really difficult, especially at that time of year. I won't say it's impossible (and you do have a sliver of a chance because of global entry), but I wouldn't try it myself.
Hi I am flying with my husband and toddler from London to Miami, arriving at 6:45pm. Our AA connection to New Orleans has just changed only giving us an 1 hr and 50 minutes to go through immigration/customs/collect luggage/check-in and go through security. They are on separate tickets as well. Is this enough time? And can we check-in straight after collecting our luggage and skip the normal check-in at arrivals? It's also the last direct flight to New Orleans that evening!
Sorry, I mean skip the normal check-in upstairs at departures. I know there is usually a desk right after you collect your luggage at most airports.
That's not enough time on two separate tickets. Since it is two separate tickets you will have to re-check your bags at the normal AA check-in counter.
Hi, I arrive in MIA Terminal D at 5.15 PM and have departing flight in QATAR from Terminal E at 7.40 PM. Although both are oneworld flights they are separate tickets. I have to collect bags in terminal D and recheck in Terminal E with QATAR. Is 2 hrs 20 minutes enough time to do all of this?
That should be just enough time if the first flight is domestic and on-time.
I have an AA flight to MIA from San Jose (Costa Rica) arriving at 5.10pm and then a Qatar flight at 7.40pm to Doha. Will I have enough time for this changeover?
I am flying from GUA Guatemala to Chicago ORD through MIA with checked baggage. Both flights are AA. The layover is 2 hours 9 minutes on a Sunday evening. Is this enough time to pick up my bag, clear customs and recheck my bag through? Thank you
Yes, that should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I am flying this Sunday from DFW to Miami with American Airlines, where I have 3 hours to disembark, collect baggage, go through security to get on a Virgin international flight. It is likely to be in a different terminal. Is 3 hours enough time to make this transfer successfully on a Sunday?
Yes, it will be in a different terminal. Yes, 3 hours should be enough time.
Hi I'm connecting in Miami to an AA flight to Orlando with two children husband and checked baggage We only have 90 mins to make connection and it is a late flight Will that be enough time to clear customs re check luggage and make connection ?
That is just enough time if everything goes perfectly.
I was wrong, actually my return flight is to Zurich and not Frankfurt. Araival from MBJ is on 5.12pm, departure to ZRH on 7.50pm, I am afraid time is not enough. Other option is MBJ to FLL, arrival on 2.35pm. I think this is safer. Can I reach MIA and make all necessary operations before 7.50pm?
