I already bought a ticket to go to Miami and will be arriving at 17.00hs... the last flight to Chicago is at 20.20hs. Both flights would be American Airlines. Can I make it? is it too risky?
First time going abroad but I will probably study what to do there beforehand.
Yes, that is possible.
what is distance from Arrival gate to departure gate
You won't know your exact gates until the day of your flight, but if both flights are on American, then all American gates are connected inside security and all you have to do on the way to Grand Cayman is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
my flight from Varadero-Cuba is supposed to arrive at 1:55pm in the North Terminal. I will have to claim for luggage and go through the customs again (I guess). The flight for Munich is at 4:50 in the South Terminal. That will be on a Saturday. Do you think I have enough time ? Thanks!
That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.
We are flying into Miami, spending the night at the hotel, and leaving for Cuba the next day. How do you get to the Miami International Airport after picking up our luggage. Assuming we can walk to Terminal E but will we have to go through security again?
You will just take your bags to the check-in counter of the airline you are flying to Cuba, check your bags, and go through security.
I will be arriving at MIA from LHR next Tuesday, 18h45. Only hand luggage. Really hoping to catch a flight to Mexico at 20h19. Do you think it is feasible? Thanks.
With hand luggage, it's just possible if both flights are on American.
Proud to say that I have made it. :) The second flight was with Volaris. But it took me less that 15 minutes to go through migration, 15 minutes to drop my suitcase at the volaris counter, 5 minutes to go through security... increadibly efficient. Then I waited for almost an hour to board my next flight. :)
I am arriving on March 20 at 4:35 am from GIG to MIA. I only have a carry on. I have a connecting flight with United at 6:10am. Is this possible? Thanks!
I meant to add that I will be coming in from GIG on American Airlines.
That's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. You'll have to run across the airport to get to your United flight. I'm guessing you're stopping in Houston first? (United doesn't fly from Miami to Austin).
Thats correct. A stop in Houston. I think its probably best i pick a different flight. :( thanks for your reply!
I am travelling from London to Dom republic via Miami with American Airlines. Will I have to clear customs & immigration as have only 2 hours?
Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi, I will be returning home to BOS from Guatemala City (GUA), with a connection in Miami. Is 2 hours enough time between flights? I know I have to go through customs, will I have to re-enter security as well? The flights are both on American Airlines.
Yes, you will also have to go through security again. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
We have 50 minutes on a flight from Newark to Miami connecting for a flight to Turks and Caico's. I know this is close, but is it in the same terminal? All American Airlines.
Yes, it's the same terminal. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hello, We've booked flights through American Airlines website from Havana to George Town via Miami where we transit for 2 hours (First flight AA, second flight AA but Operated by Republic Airlines AS American Eagle). Do you know if we have to claim and recheck our bags and if 2 hours will be sufficient on a Sunday at around 1pm? Thank you!!
You will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security but you will not have to claim and re-check your bags. 2 hours should be just about enough time.
