Hi we will arrive on Austrian air at 3:15pm and then connect to Newark wit United at 5:40 pm, will we need to go thru security and if so will we able to use the lounges in J or F with our priority pass membership?
United flights depart from G, so you won't be able to use the Priority pass lounge. Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.
I fly into Miami gate E-20 @ 11:18 from JAX and then have a Flight departing Gate D60 @ 12:15. Do I need to claim my bag and recheck it since the second flight is international? I don't think I will have time to do all that also will I have to go through immigration when leaving the country? Sorry for the silly questions
No, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Miami if both flights are on the same reservation. There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US.
Hi there - we are transiting through Miami from Grenada on the way to London. We are due to arrive in Miami at 7.07pm (American Airlines) and the flight to London (BA) leaves at 8.40pm. Is this likely to be too tight? (We will have the benefit of Executive Club membership with BA and are prepared to beg our way through immigration and to collect our checked in bags!) Any thoughts/opinions/comments welcome.
An hour and forty minutes should be sufficient, but everything will depend on clearing customs and immigration. If you arrive on time, you should be okay as long as there aren't excessive lines. My experience has been that the busiest times are in the afternoon, so perhaps by early evening you should see less of a backup in Customs.
Arriving on American at Terminal D. Can I connect to Avianca in Terminal J without going through security?
No, you cannot.
I'm flying from PHL on March 6th to MIA then on to PLS with an hour and 16 minute layover in MIA. Do I actually change planes in MIA?
Both flights are on AA
Yes, you will change planes in Miami, but all you have to do on your way to Providenciales is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I will be arriving on AA908 on May 13 at 6:47, I have to make the immigration, claim baggage and recheck in the domestic flight to Orlando AA195 that departures at 9:30. I will be able to do the connection? I have different inteneraries!
Yes, that should be enough time. You can show your second Itinerary to the check in agent in Buenos Aires and have your bags tagged through to Orlando. That way you can re-check your bags at the re-check desk after clearing customs instead of having to re-check your bags at the AA check-in desk.
Hey, my flight is in concourse H, but I would like to enter to a lounge located in J? Would I be able to move from H to J after security? Thanks.
Yes, H and J are the two most modern concourses and are connected inside security.
Hi, I'm travelling from Orlando to Sydney via MIA and LAX... layover in MIA is 42 minutes (airline is the same). Do you think this would be long enough to make connection?
Thanks so much in advance!
That's enough time - all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, but it leaves no time to spare.
I'm travelling from Brisbane to Miami via Los Angeles. I arrive at Miami at 4.08pm on AA and want to book a flight Miami-Havana at 6.35pm also with AA but the tickets won't be on the same booking. Is that enough time to make the flight?
Yes, that's enough time. You will have cleared US Immigration and Customs at LAX so all you have to do in Miami is claim and re-check your bags. You might even be able to get the Qantas agent in Brisbane to check your bags through to Havana by showing your confirmation to HAV - (you'll still have to claim your bags to go through US Customs in LAX, but then you won't have to do anything with your bags in Miami).
Hi, first trip to San Juan. We fly Air Canada to MIA landing 11:30am. I need to get to AA for 2:00 departure. I have never been to Miami and its looks very complicated. Could anyone help walk me through the procedure of claiming bags and getting to the AA departure. I am worried if I make a mistake we might miss our flight. Thank you so much
You will arrive in Terminal J, claim your bags, then follow the walkways to Terminal D, re-check your bags with American and go through security. You should have enough time.
Thank you.
