Can I connect from the D gates to the monorail accessed E gates (E20-33) inside security? If so, how do you get to the monorail? Thanks!
Yes, all D and E gates are connected inside security. there is a walkway to the non-satellite gates in E and then you take the monorail from there.
Is it possible to arrive from Lima via Latam at 7:30 then make a Delta flight to Havana at 9:00 the same day? Will I have to clear customs?
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags with Delta, go through security and to your departure gate. That is not enough time.
What if not checking any bags?
Then you still have to go through US Immigration, Customs, check in with Delta, and go through security. It's still very difficult.
I am flying into Miami from Lisbon 2:30 PM on TAP Portugal, then to Freeport at 5:30 PM on American Airlines. Is this connection possible? Any advice/suggestion? Thank you in advance.
Yes, that is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Flying into Miami from Madrid on British air at 8:05 pm. Need to make connecting flight to Houston on American Airlines. Flight leaves at 9:49 pm. Will I make it?
Your flight from Madrid will be on Iberia or American. That is enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Have you already taken your flight? I do not have a connecting flight but will purchase a separate flight to Houston from Miami after arriving from spain at 3. the flight to Houston is at 345 and I wanted to see if I would have to go through customs first and then go through security again?
Hi. Will I have suffice t transit time when flying Merida Mexico TO Miami and then TO Iceland within the same day? Will lend in Miami with Aeromexico at 13:55 on Apríl 20 and next flight is same day with WOW air to Iceland at 16:30. Is that enough time? Will I need to go between terminal? Thanks. : )
That is a very difficult connection. At least both flights are in the South Terminal Complex, but you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags with WOW and go through security and to your departure gate.
AA booked me on a MCO -MIA - SJO flight in June. The connection in MIA is only 55 min. Would that be sufficient since SJO is an international destination? Do I need to go through Immigration at MIA? Thanks.
Yes, that is enough time. There is no US Immigration when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I have int flight from IAD Washington MIA on jun 20oth 1153-234pm Mia, LAN Airlines operated by AMerican Airl, then MIA 4 00PM -BOGota Colombia Lan AIRLINES Latam Colombia, is 1h 26 min enough? , I was told I have to claim baggae in MIA, recheck bags , customs? is all that the process? I tough Latam has a contract with AA to transfer bags.. ?? HELP
You were told incorrectly. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You don't have to do anything with your bags in Miami on the way to Bogota. You just have to go to the South Terminal where the LAN gate will be and go through security. You have enough time if the flight from IAD is on-time.
Flying through MIA with only short stop of 1 hour 20 mins. Flight delayed by 40 mins. Will I make connection?
Yes, you can still make it.
Flying American Airlines from St Louis to Miami and then connecting to Belize with only a 54 minute layover in Miami. Are the terminals close as to have enough time to make the transition? Assuming the connecting flight to Belize begins loading 30 prior to take off.
That is enough time. All AA gates are connected inside security. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi all,

I am arriving into Miami International with AA in June (assuming D Gates)

I am then departing to London Heathrow, with Virgin Atlantic, (assuming F gates) around 2 hours later,

Do I need to leave the airside area to connect to the other terminal? & is the quickest way of doing so by the moving walkway on level 3 I have read about?

I do not have luggage with me (only carry-on)

If I need to pass through Security again at the F gates, is there a First Class/priority lane as I will be travelling in First.

There are two hours between flights, does this seem an achievable time?

Thanks for your help!
Also - do I need to pass through Passport Checks/Immigration when landing in Miami or will i just exit the north terminal? (I know I will have security check-point when entering F gates)
Yes, you need to leave the airside, walk to F, and go through security. There is no passport control when leaving the US or when traveling on domestic flights. There should be a priority line in F.
Thanks ZAP! I assume 2 hours should be sufficient time?
Yes, if the AA flight is on-time that's enough time.
Thanks so much for your help!
