I am flying from Panama to London transiting Miami. Panama to Miami is AA and Miami to LDN is British airways. I am guessing I still have to clear US immigration but do I have to collect my baggage. Also if I have a visa waiver can I use a kiosk
You shouldn't have to re-check your baggage. You can use the kiosk if you have entered the US on ESTA before.
We are flying from Dallas to Miami and then Miami to Barbados all in American Airlines. We have about an hour and 15 minutes layover to leave for Barbados. Do we need to take a shuttle to the next terminal and go through customs ?
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in Miami on your way to Barbados is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Hello, we are flying from LAX arriving Miami International at 17:55 to connect to a flight to Madrid at 19:05 (layover: 1 hour 10 minutes) Shall we go through customes again in MIA? Will our luggage be going directly to Madrid from LAX? Both are AA flights in the same e-ticket (LAX-MIA AA and MIA-MAD Iberia operated by AA). Thank you very much for your help!

I have a BA flight arriving in Miami at 6.45pm and then a Republic Airlines flight from 9.15pm to Charleston. I am UK passport holder with a checked bag. Will this be enough time to catch the second flight?
Yes, that is enough time if everything goes smoothly. Note for the second flight to Look for American/American Eagle, not "Republic".
Hi, I am flying from Santo Domingo to Miami and the Miami to London Heathrow. I only have 2 hours connection time and was wondering what steps I will have to do? First flight is American Airlines and second is British airways ( both a part of one world rewards program if that makes a difference?) an answer would be much appreciated. Kind regards.
You will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Looking at a flight from Toronto to La Paz (Bolivia) via Miami: arriving Miami 9:15 pm and departing 10:37 pm. Coming from Toronto I'll have cleared US immigration before my first flight, but not sure if I'd still have to go through some security clearance in transit in Miami, or can just go directly to the second flight. Debating whether to check a bag or go carry-on only, if that makes the transit time more do-able.
All you have to do in Miami on the way to Bolivia is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
We arrive into MIA on a Virgin Atlantic flight from London connecting onto Nassau with Bahama airlines ... we have 2 hours... is this enough time - can our luggage be checked all the way from London?
You will have to go through US immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags with Bahamasair, go through security and to your departure gate. 2 hours is not reasonably enough time to do that.
Hi! Im flying from Panama to Madrid next week, via Miami, i have a 7 hour layover. My question is, can i go out to the city and then comeback? A friend is picking me up at 12m to have lunch and then ill head back to the airport!
Arriving in Miami at 11am, departing at 7pm to Madrid.
You won't be out of customs at noon. Maybe 12:30 or 1. You really don't have time for much more than a long lunch.
Yes im aware of that, maybe around 1:30 i'll be out, and back at 3pm to be go inside, but i CAN go out then? Like, allowed to.
Yes, once you clear customs you are outside security and free to go where you want.
We will be booking a flight from Santiago, Chile, to Tampa, via Miami. What is a safe length of layover in Miami? Both flights onAmerican Airlines. Also, will checked bags automatically go to the next flight?
You will have to claim your bags in Miami to take them through US Customs. You'll want at least 2 hours in Miami.
