Worst airportAug 13, 201210This is the worst airport I have ever been. I got lost the minute I arrived at the gate. There was no sign directing me to the rental car center. I asked two people who appeared to work there and I was still confused which way to the train or the pink elevator. There was no sign on the train to tell which station one was at. It was a giant puzzle just to exit the rental car center. I went around twice to drive out. The worst part was returning the rental car. The confusing part started from the freeway off ramp to the airport. I had to drive around several loops and finally had to make a U-turn to get to the rental car center. That was the direction. I was lost going to the first level of the multi-story garage at 4:30 A.M. It was very easy to mis-read the confusing sign and drive into the fire lane on the right. I missed it the first time and ended at the second level. There was not a way to get down to the first level. I had to exit the garage and onto the freeway for several miles, then re-entered the freeway to the airport and following the same RCC direction, U-Turn, etc. I had a full tank of gas but I used lots of gas driving around. Once again I had to take the train back to the terminal, then walked almost a mile to the American Airline Terminal. There were eight electronic walkways but three of them were not working at 5 A.M. My feet were hurting from the walk. I would pay any money to take an electric cart insode the terminal..rampart2posted on Mon, Aug 13Actually MIA is one of the finest Airports - and improving by the day. If you had opened www.ifly.com/mia you would have noticed that the rental car facility is not on-Airport grounds: "The 4-level consolidated Rental Car Center ('RCC') is one mile east of MIA Airport on 3900 NW 5th Street.....served by the MIA mover train...".moaug12posted on Mon, Aug 13

air railSep 27, 201110The Skyride Connector is a moving walkway on level 3 , connecting all terminals (with 4 stops inside Concourse D) and parking areas. Also, the North Terminal with a 1-mile-long Concourse D, is served by the Skytrain on its roof, with 4 stations between east and west Gates D17 & D46 and completing its route within 5 minutes.HH39posted on Tue, Sep 27

SKYCAP - INT'L ARRIVALSAug 13, 201100I just got ripped off by a skycap (porter) to take our luggage from the baggae area to the taxi stand. I was going to give him $12 but he then said that they now charge a standard fee of $20. Since when? I am posting this to keep other travelers aware. We were exhausted and didn't stop to argue at the moment. This guy is probably doing this standard fee for other tired or naive tourists arrivnig in Miami.MIAMI1posted on Sat, Aug 13
