GENERAL PARKING INFORMATION OF MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

1. Upper Short-Term Parking lot (Departure Level) is open. All vehicles entering will be inspected, as well as baggage in the vehicle.

2. Lower Short-Term Parking lot (Arrival Level) is open for daytime use on a reduced schedule. Vehicles may NOT be left overnight. All vehicles entering will be inspected, as well as baggage in the vehicle.

3. Long-Term Parking Garages (Dolphin & Flamingo) are open. Please follow signs. Vehicles, as well as baggage in the vehicles, entering Dolphin & Flamingo Garages are subject to inspection prior to entering.

TIP: Whenever possible, drop passengers and baggage at curbside and then proceed to park to avoid delays caused by vehicle and baggage inspection at entrances to parking facilities.

Curbside baggage check-in is available on an airline-by-airline basis. Please check with your AIRLINE to determine if they are currently offering this service. Curbside pick-up / drop off: Do not leave your vehicle unattended at curbside. All unattended vehicles will be immediately towed at the owner’s expense.

MIA offers several parking alternatives: Valet Parking, Short Term ( for quick visits) parking; Long Term (for overnight stays) parking and Economy (reduced rates) Park & Ride surface lot. Please refer to each choice below for details. All parking alternatives are available 24 hours a day – 365 days a year.

VALET PARKING
Parking attendants park your car– leaving you free to depart. Just drop off your vehicle, leave your keys, get your valet parking ticket, and walk directly to the north terminal, or take the moving sidewalk to the concourses at the central and south terminals. Be ready to tell the parking attendant when you plan to return. Location: Departure level, across from Concourses B and C.
Returning passengers will be provided with a telephone number that alerts valet parking attendants that your flight has arrived so that your vehicle will be ready as soon as you get there.

SHORT-TERM PARKING (located near the Terminal Building and identified as UPPER and LOWER LEVEL PARK ONE)
The first short term parking lot with access to North Terminal (Concourses C and D) and Central Terminal (Concourses E and F) is located across from Terminal E Customs on both the departure or arrivals level. The second short term parking lot with easy access to the South Terminal (Concourses G, H and J) is across from South Terminal between H and J and is accessible only on the arrivals level.

South Terminal Short Term Parking: If you are flying out or greeting arriving passengers, airlines utilizing the South Terminal are: Aerolineas Argentinas, Air Canada, Air France, Alitalia, Avianca, Carribbean, Copa, Delta/Com Air, LAN, LTU, Lufthansa, Swiss, United (TED), US Air, TACA, and TAM

LONG-TERM PARKING
The DOLPHIN GARAGE serves the North Terminal (Concourses C, D, and E) and the FLAMINGO GARAGE serves the South Terminal (Concourses F, G, H and J) and can be accessed on the arrivals or departure levels of the airport. The main entrance to both garages is off Central Boulevard; keep left as you approach the terminal.
Both the DOLPHIN GARAGE and the FLAMINGO GARAGE connect to the Terminal Building by moving sidewalks, located on the 3rd level of the garages. Designated disabled permit parking and stroller permit parking is also available on the 3rd level of the garages.

ECONOMY PARK AND RIDE:

On NW 45 Avenue between 13 and 14 streets. (Please note map below). Free shuttle bus operates every 10-15 minutes to and from the terminal. Pick-up and drop off service is located at designated (covered) stops throughout the parking lot and on the curb of the arrivals roadway.
Directions: When entering from Central Boulevard, drive all the way through the departure level as if you were going to exit the airport. Then take Exit 5 and follow the signs that say: “Economy Park and Ride”. When entering from Perimeter Road take Perimeter Road to Northwest 14th Street.

Disabled Parking
Designated disabled permit parking and stroller permit parking is conveniently located by the moving sidewalks on the 3rd level of the garages. Additional disabled permit parking is available for wheelchair accessible vehicles on the ground level, at the easternmost section of the Dolphin garage.

Over-height Vehicles
Over-height vehicles may use the “High-Vehicle" surface lot parking area located adjacent to the East side of the FLAMINGO GARAGE.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MIA): Miami International Airport is conveniently located within close proximity of Miami’s major expressways.

From the North (includes Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and North Miami):
• Take I-95 South to State Road 112.
• Continue on the State Road 112 Connector to the Airport.

From the Southwest (includes Homestead, Kendall and West Miami):
• Take State Road 826 North or the Turnpike North to 836 East.
• Exit at LeJeune Road Northbound (NW 42 Ave) and follow signs to the Airport.

From Downtown Miami:
• Take I-95 North to State Road 836 West.
• Exit at LeJeune Road Northbound (NW 42 Ave).
• Follow signs to the Airport.

From the South Beach area:
• Take westbound MACARTHUR CAUSEWAY to State Road 836 West.
• Exit at LeJeune Road Northbound (NW 42 Ave).
• Follow signs to the Airport.

From the Coconut Grove or Coral Gables area:
• Take LeJeune Road Northbound (NW 42 Ave).
• Follow signs to the Airport.

Picking Up/Dropping Off Travelers
Prior to Getting to the Airport
If you are departing from Miami International Airport (MIA), please call ahead to your airline to confirm your flight and departure time, Concourse and Gate. This is very important at MIA due to the fact that we have more scheduled airlines than any airport in the Western Hemisphere. We occasionally have to re-locate airline ticket counters and gate locations, and some airlines use more than one Concourse.

Curbside Parking Restrictions
Curbside parking in front of the terminal is restricted to vehicles that are actually loading or unloading. Due to tsa security regulations, all vehicles left unattended at the curbside will be towed at the owner’s expense. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended.

Parking Garages and Moving Walkways
Remember that Concourse A is on the right or north side of the Terminal, Concourse E and the Miami International Airport Hotel are in the center, and Concourse H is on the left or south side. If you are parking in the garages, Airlines in Concourses A-D are closer to the Dolphin Garage, and airlines in Concourses F-H are closer to the Flamingo Garage. Prior to getting on the elevator, stamp your parking ticket. The information stamped (garage name, level and aisle) will help you find your car upon your return. All garages have access to the Moving Walkway from "skybridges" on the 3rd Level of the Parking Garages. There are also Terminal maps displayed along the Skybridges and Moving Walkways to show you the location of your airline.

International Departures
If you are departing on an international flight, be sure and arrive at least two hours early.

Over-height Vehicles
Over-height vehicles may use the “High-Vehicle" surface lot parking area located adjacent to the East side of the FLAMINGO GARAGE.
