  • Delta - Delta Connection/ExpressJet Airlines

I fly in on Delta and fly out on Delta Connections/ExpressJet Airlines with 1 hr layover. Is the Express Jet at the same terminal and close to Delta....will it be an easy connection? I looked on the MSP airport map but can't find Express Jet listed for either terminal.

Delta Connection operated by Expressjet flights use the same terminal as Delta, the Lindberge terminal. Yes, you have enough time.

my flight will be arriving at 8:59am from YXE and departing at 10:06am for CVG. Is there any way I can have a rough idea if they would be out of the same concourse area or will they be on total different ends and I will miss my flight? I am guessing no time to run out for a quick cigarette!

Considering you will have to go through US Customs, claim your bags (if you have checked bags), go through US Immigration, and re-check your bags and go through security. That is a very difficult connection to make. Unfortunately yes, your flight from CVG will probably not be near to where you will clear customs.

Any idea which concourse the flights to Cincinatti usually leave from? I would just like to try to figure out my way on a terminal map beforehand.

The 10ish AM flight to CVG left from C both yesterday and today. So I would say there's a good chance it will leave from C, but that's not certain.

Leaving Regian, Sask, YQR on Delta to MSP, connecting there to Amsterdam, on KLM. I will have one checked bag. The connection time in MSP is 80 minutes. Will that be enough? Thanks.

Yes, that will probably be enough time. Immigration in MSP is rarely crowded, so you should have enough time to Go through Immigration, claim and re-check your bags, and get through security.

Leaving Winnipeg, YWG on Skywest Delta to MSP, connecting there to Amsterdam, AMS on KLM. There is US Pre-Clearance in Winnipeg. I will have one checked bag. The connection time in MSP is 55 minutes. Will that be enough? Thanks.

Yes, that should be enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate which will both be in the Lindbergh Terminal.

    Many thanks.

My son is 15 and it's his 2nd flight alone. His flight from Rap will be arriving at 9:22 and his connecting flight will depart at 10:05, all Delta. He's got a spanish passport. Which steps does he has to take (re-check?, security check etc...) and to which terminal does he need to go. Can he make it on time in those 40 minutes?? Thanks

All he has to do is walk from his arrival gate to his departure gate. Both flights will be in the Lindbergh Terminal. He has enough time.

  • YXE to MSY via Minneapolis with a 1hr 13m layover

Flying with Delta, from YXE via MSP. will I be able to clear customs, grab my golf bag and go through my checkpoints and make my next flight to MSY in 1 hr 13 mins? I think it might be a close one and dont want to miss the connection. Thank you in advance!!

It will be really close. Customs shouldn't be busy at that time, but you don't know how long it will take for your bags to come out.

I am flying from JAX to SFO with checked baggage on Delta. I have 1 hour lay over at MSP, will it be sufficient or should I choose another flight with longer lay over

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. All Delta gates at MSP are connected inside security.

My daughter will be flying Bozeman-Minneapolis with boys 3 & 5 in mid April. Will the 38 min. layover be sufficient to catch the next flight? Both are Delta flights.

If her flight from Bozeman is on-time that should be enough time. All Delta gates at MSP are connected inside security.

I am flying from MKE to YYC and have a 1 hour layover in MSP. Both Delta flights. Is that enough time if I am traveling with checked bags? Do I go through customs in MSP or YYC?

You will go through Canadian customs when you get to Calgary. All you have to do in MSP is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

Leaving Toronto, YYZ to MSP (Minneapolis-St Paul). Will go through security at Pearson. When I arrive at MSP is there check points or security again, or do I hop off the plane and hop on. (carrying baggage with me) From MSP next flight is to NRT (Narita). At this point, am I domestic or international. Do I go through security, check points again? Last flight, NRT to PVG. Any help or tips will be appreciated

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Toronto. You will not go through passport control or see your baggage again until you get to Shanghai. You will not have to go through security in MSP either. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi, I will be traveling from Saskatoon, Canada to MSP on Nov 12. I have a 1 hour and 11 min layover in which i will need to collect my luggage and clear customs. I will be flying with Delta the entire time. I was just wondering if this is enough time to do everything that i need to do?!?!

It's probably enough time because there usually aren't many other international flights coming in when the non-precleared Canada flights arrive. However, it is cutting it close.

Thinking of flying from London Heathrow to Winnipeg Canada via MSP, one flight allows 1hr 50mins between landing and take off - is this sufficient time to clear customs, collect luggage & check in?

Yes, that should be enough time.

Can I make the connecting flight if my layover is 1 hour? I saw a comment on anther flight that you have to go through security again when you go from terminal 1 to terminal 2

Yes, you will have to go through security again and if you have checked bags you will have to have them to the Sun Country check-in counter 45 minutes before your flight. It will be tough to make in an hour if you don't have bags and impossible if you have checked bags.
