Hi, we are planning a trip from Rome to San Antonio via MSP. The layover time is 1:57. We will have checked pets on board. Is this enough time to get everyone checked through the system?

Let me make sure I've got this right: If I catch a flight in Montreal (going thru US Customs there), landing in Minneapolis (and going on to connecting flights within the US), I do NOT have to re-check my bags in MSP? I can just walk to the connecting gate?

I will be flying in from Edmonton on a Saturday and only have an 1 hour 10 min layover before my flight for ATL leaves. Will I have enough time to get through customs and everything? I will have my 18 month old daughter with me and need to have time to change her and possibly grab food. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Edmonton. All you have to do in MSP is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

I have a connecting flight from Chicago midway to San Antonio. I stop in MSP with 45mins. Is this enough time??? I have terminal 1 when I land and when I leave to San Antonio

Yes, should be plenty of time, as long as your flight is on time or about on time.

  • 1h 20min layover

Hi I am travelling from Saskatoon (YXE) to Washington (IAD) with a 1h 20min layover in Minneapolis. I am wondering whether that is enough time to catch my connecting flight? I know I would have to go through customs and I have never been to MSP so I am wondering if there would be guidance regarding routes to security and to my next gate?

. If you fly from somewhere outside the US or Canada to an airport in the US or Canada, you will have to collect and recheck your luggage no matter where you're going on your second flight

Flying in from London (LHR) on my way to Austin (AUS), there's a 1h 43min layover at MSP - is this enough time to disembark, go through customs and passport control, and get to the connecting flight?

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Flying from Amsterdam to Phoenix with a change in MSP, layover is 1.16. Is that enough time??

No, that is below the minimum recommended international to domestic connection time.

Ok so how have they been allowed to sell me that flight???

    I don't know - they shouldn't have.

    What is the recommended time?

In MSP you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time.

I am landing in MSP from San Antonio on an Airbus A319. Delta's connecting flight is 40 minutes between landing in MSP and take off to Amsterdam on an Airbus A300-300. Is 40 minutes enough time to make the connection Delta flight to Amsterdam?

Correction: The Delta Flight to Amsterdam is on an Airbus A330-300.

Yes, that is enough time if your flight from San Antonio is on-time. All you have to do in MSP is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Hi, we have a flight from New York to Vancouver with a 1 hour 30 minute stop over at MSP on a Sunday. Both flights are Delta. Will we have to collect baggage and re-check it in and ourselves between flights. Or can we go straight between arrival and departure gates without collecting baggage, will this automatically go between aircraft? Will we have to go through security again because we are British Citizens. Thanks

All you have to do in MSP is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You will go Canadian Immigration and Customs when you arrive in Vancouver.

If my flight from Fayetteville NW lands at 18:47 and my connecting flight to Amsterdam is at 19:31, does this leave enough time to connect? It is only 44minutes at the airport.

All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, you have enough time.
