I am flying from Tokyo HND to MSP with a 1hr 58 minute layover to catch my connecting flight to DFW. Is this enough time to make it thru customs and security recheck point?

    Yes, that is enough time.

  • 3.5 hr layover from T2 MSP. Am I able to access the Lounges in T1?
    Dec 2, 2016
I am flying in and out of T2, but since I have a long layover would llike to be able to access the Lounge in T1. Does anyone know if I will be able to clear security in T1 with my boarding pass for a T2 flight and a Lounge booking?

I doubt you will be able to. The terminals are also on complete opposite sides of the airport.

a family of 4 will be flying into Minneapolis MSP on Wednesday March 29, 2017 on flight DL1820 arriving at 9:25 am from Miami and then to depart Minneapolis for Appleton at 10:00 am - is 35 minutes enough time to get to the next terminal in Minneapolis - will my bags transfer in time.

You don't have to change terminals - all Delta flights are in the same Terminal. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.

Flying from Brainerd MN (regional airport) to Richmond VA with a 48 minute connection at Minneapolis. Flight is two weeks before Christmas. Both flights Delta and only bringing carry-on.

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Flying Delta, and I have an hour and a half at MSP between my flight from Haneda, Japan to Madison, WI. Will I have to go through customs at MSP, or will I be pre-cleared through US immigration and customs in Japan?

Yes, in MSP you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security and to your departure gate. You have enough time.

I am trying to fly from Boston to Bozeman, the most common flights are on Delta (2 per day), they all go through MSP with connection times of 45-50 minutes. I was wondering if this is doable.

    Yes, that is doable.

We are leaving from Saskatoon, SK Canada going to Los Angelos with a 1hr 8 min change of planes at MSP. We need to clear customs as they'd don't offer this at Saskatoon. We would not have checked luggage. Both flights are Delta. Is this enough time? Also where is cumtoms located in terminal 1 at MSP? Thanks

With no checked bags that should be just enough time. You will be funneled to US Immigration and Customs, you won't have to "find" it, but it's sort of under the G gates.

Booking BOS-MSP-HNL with 41 minute layover. Is this ok or should I take earlier with 3h layover. Traveling with wife and teenage kids.

I'm looking at booking a flight from YUL Montreal, to PDX Portland, Oregon. I would have a 48 minute layover in MSP. I won't be checking baggage, just a carry on. Will this be enough time to make my connection? I will be flying on a Tuesday, January 24th.

Yes, that is enough time. you will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. All you have to do in MSP is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Thank you for your speedy response! I appreciate it.

  • 56-minute transfer time?
    Oct 12, 2016
I'm looking at buying a ticket from Dallas-Fort Worth to Billund, Denmark via Amsterdam, which gives me 56 minutes in MSP to transfer from the Dallas flight to the Amsterdam flight. This is at 9 pm on a Monday night. Will this be enough time to make the connection? I read somewhere that you don't have to go through customs/immigration when leaving the US - can this be confirmed? Thanks!

Yes, that is enough time. That is correct, there is no US Immigration or customs when leaving the US. All you have to do in MSP is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • 90mins layover from Paris to Denver
    Oct 12, 2016
Hi, I have a flight from Paris CDG to Denver with a 90 minutes layover in Minneapolis. I believe there is an immigration control during the transfer. will 90 minutes be enough to proceed to it and then catch my flight to Denver? Do I have to get my bags and check them in again? Thanks in advance.

Yes, that is enough time if the flight from Paris is on-time. Yes, you will have to claim your bags to take them through US Customs, then re-check them at the re-check desk, then go through security.
