Is 1.5 hours enough time at MSP to clear customs from Paris and make connection to LAS? Both flts with Delta.

You arrive and depart at MSP Airport at the Lindbergh Terminal, which has Concourses A through G with corresponding gates - Delta uses all Concourses. Yo arrive at Concourse G and need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance, and re-check-in your bags where indicated. Thereafter, follow signs to your connecting Concourse & gate. For more information, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/msp, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

I'm arriving on Delta 1320 on Feb 1 2013 connecting to Delta 264 to Amsterdam at 7.25.pm Waht concourse does the Denver flight come into and from what concourse does the Amsterdam filght leave? Do you have to re-clear security?45 minutes is a very tight connection in mid winter.

    1. Delta uses all concourses A through G of Terminal 1 with corresponding gate numbers. The the upper level is surrounded on three sides by Concourses A through G - Concourses E & F are in the center with Concourse D, C, A & B to the right and Concourse G to the left: Concourse A has gates A1-14 (Concourse B can be reached by tunnel) Concourse B (opposite Concourse A) has on the upper level gates B1-16, and on the lower level a tunnel to of Concourses A/C. Concourse C has gates 1-27, the Delta Sky Club at C11, and a cross walk to Concourse G near gate C12. Concourse D to the right of the center, has gates D1-D6. Concourse E has gates E1-E16 (United's Red Carpet Club is near E8) Concourse F has gates F1-F16. Concourse G has gates 1-10 & 11-22 (with security checkpoint & international arrivals facility in the center), and a crosswalk to Concourse C near gate G18.

I am almost certain that you will not need to re-clear security. Your 45 minutes is still a very tight connection. I might seek a better connection if I were you, especially given winter weather.

i'm traveling from lacross to new york, with a stop over in msp for 40 minutes. is that enough time to change planes

Most likely your airlines took that transfer time into account when you booked. Generally, it depends on which airlines you arrive/depart at/from MSP. MSP has Terminals 1 & 2 - not situated in the same area. Look at your ticket - Most likely you will use Terminal 1 (the Lindbergh terminal) - which has Concourses A through G. Look at your ticket for your gates (i.e., gate E16, G10, etc. - indicating the Concourse). 2. 1. Concourses C and A are served by the Concourse Tram. Concourse B is connected by a short tunnel to Concourse A. There is a Concourse connector between Concourses G and C. Concourses G, F, E & D can be reached by foot. 2. From ticketing & baggage claim to the light rail station to Minneapolis: Take escalator or elevator down to level T, where an underground tram takes you to the transit center; then follow signs to the light rail transit station. T2-Humphrey - has only gates H1-5 at left and H6-10 at right.

  • One hour layover enough?

I'm flying Delta from Salt Lake City to London, Heathrow. I have a one hour layover in MSP. Will this be enough time to go through customs, get bags moved to our new flight, etc.?

    1. Delta uses Terminal 1 (Lindbergh) Concourses, A, B, C, D, F & G with corresponding gates. Therefore, you need to look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive at and depart from at MSP. 2. Only international arrivals, including US citizens, need to pass customs. 3. At Salt Lake City make sure your bags are properly tagged to stopover & end destination - they should be claimed a Heathrow. 4. Note that Concourses C & A are served by a concourse tram, and Concourse B is connected by short tunnel to Concourse A. You can reach all concourses by foot. Your 1-hr transfer time should suffice.

  • Enough time to catch transfer flight?

We are a family of 5 arriving Minneaplois International from Narita/Japan and transiting to Orlando. Agent had booked us flights that have 1.5 hours between ETA and ETD. Do we have time to clear immigration, retrieve baggage, clear customs, redeposit checked baggage, go thru departure security and still make the Orlando flight? What tips/ suggestions you may have to help ensure we do not miss the Orlando flight?

For a family of five you have very little time to spare, as you need to complete - as an international arrival - at the Terminal 1-Lindbergh - the passport control, luggage pickup, customs clearance and baggage recheck-in procedure. Count on 45-60 mins at this time of the year. Don't know what ETA & ETD means. Gates are numbered by concourses (i.e. C8, B16, etc.), Hopefully you arrive & depart from the Lindbergh terminal; however, Delta flights to Orlando leave at H, G & F gates - H gates being in the T2-Humphrey Terminal, which is accessible only by light rail and getting there would take too long. Look at your ticket to see which gates you arrive & depart from. The Lindbergh Terminal 1 is surrounded on the upper level on three sides by Concourses A through G (Concourses C & A are served by a tram) Concourses E & F are in the center, Concourse G is to the left, Concourse D is to the right, south of D are Concourses C, B & A. Concourse A being farthest --close to Lumack Drive; Separate Concourse B has on the upper level gates B1-16, and on the lower level a tunnel to Concourses A/C. A Concourse Connector connects Concourses G & C. Concourses G, F, E & D can be reached by foot.

I think that usually 1.5 hours will be sufficient time. If you find yourself still in line anywhere as your departure time approaches, one of your family should go to an official at the head of the line and explain that your flight leaves soon. Often they will do what they can to expedite your passage. I suggest that you minimize checked baggage, and obviously make sure that all of your paperwork and identification is well organized.

International arrival with 5 hour lay over. Would like a shower before continuing journey. Any ideas for hotels that offer reasonable rate? In Chicago, Airport Hilton has a program, anything at MSP?

which concourse for delta flight from albuquerque to MSP and connect to Omaha

As Delta serves all concourses at MSP, you need to either look at your ticket to see which concourse you arrive at & depart from MSP, or call Delta.
