- MGM Airport Overview
Montgomery Regional Airport MGM is located six miles southwest of Montgomery, the capital of Alabama, and is situated off Mobile Hwy 80, west of I-65 (Exit 167), and accessible to I-85 connecting to I-65 south. Generally, the Airport opens 4am and closes after passengers on the last flights have departed. American Eagle, ASA, Delta and US Airways serve the Airport with direct flights to Atlanta, Memphis, Charlotte and Dallas/Fort Worth, with connecting flights worldwide.
The terminal building has been expanded by some 80 ft westward, adding new and improved gates and facilities, including escalators, elevators, jet bridges, and flight information displays, as well as new restrooms, concessions and free WiFi throughout the Terminal. Other amenities include the Customer Service & Visitor Center (Tel: 334.281.5040); volunteer Ambassadors which roam the terminal offering assistance; the Flight Lounge; various-size meeting rooms with available catering (Tel: 334.281.5040); a Business Center with private desk seating, internet connection & electrical outlets; SkyCaps & SmarteCarte rentals; Lost & Found (Tel: 334.281.9567); an ATM machine; and rental car counters.
Parking options include the Short- and Long-term Parking lots located close to the terminal. Disabled parking is available in the Short-term lot at long-term fees. Both lots are closely monitored with closed circuit cameras. Cash, Traveler’s Checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
