Do you think an officer for the local Nantucket governmental agency, TSA, should share information about a person who was subjected to a mandatory body search especially if that information is of a somewhat personal and sensitive nature? The person who was searched is someone we all know. If it was anyone other than her this information would not have been a big deal but this worker because the subject of the search is somewhat famous in our local area, the officer could not contain herself and shared this description of a putdown search with myself and others outside her workplace, at the Nantucket Airport. I for one, didn't appreciate hearing the details and reprimanded her for doing so, and told her never to talk about her work to me again. I can't imagine someone feeling the need to share intimate details about someone, did this give the TSA officer notoriety and raise her status among her peers and contacts because she touched the girl in her private areas?, It may but not for the reasons she might have expected but now it may because of how wrong this is in my opinion. I refuse to fly out of Nantucket to anywhere that requires TSA to search me and or my belongings, it's and invasion of privacy, it's demeaning and I don't want the details of my search shared with anyone. I hope this leads to a reprimand of this TSA officer and a reminder to the other Nantucket officers that they need not share details of their work with anyone. What do you think about this? Tell us of your experience at the hands of the Nantucket TSA.
