Nashville BNA Airport Overview

Nashville International Airport BNA is Tennessee's primary airport and serves its capital city of Nashville - named as one of the best places to spot a country star,  and it is the gateway to the country music capital of Tennesee. BNA also takes care of everyday folks just fine with art exhibitions and live music performances on the ticketing level, a children’s play areas and a massage bar for those with achy-breaky muscles.

BNA Airport is right off Interstate Highway 40 (Donelson Pike exit),  and only 8 miles southeast of downtown Nashville, and can also be accessed via I-24, taking the I-40 exit.

Nashville International Airport has four runways and counts nearly 10 million passengers a year.  It is served by major and minor airlines offering direct and connecting flights to all points of the globe.

Nashville International Airport has one passenger terminal. 

Present and future Airport developments:  The $1B Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) includes: A state-of-the-art International Arrivals facility;  expansion of ticketing & baggage claim areas; Concourse D expansion (with new dining options); Concourse B expansion  (with added gates, amenities & dining / retail options); new central entrance hall with natural light and airfield views; and a 6-level parking garage*.  Further plans call for a multi-modal transit system for/from the City, and a hotel.  The  project is to be done in phases over the coming 5 to 7 years.
*A new 6-level parking garage is currently under constuction - tentatively to be completed by Fall 2018
The state-of-the-art International Arrivals building is tentatively to be completed by 2018.
