  • Any dining outside security Termianl B

I have to pick up a minor child from an overseas flight arriving in Terminal B. I want to be there very early. Are there any resturants, bars, etc. outside of security where I have to meet the child?

I find only food courts and Starbucks--upper level. Don't know if food courts are outside of security. Information desk should be able to guide you. Note that Terminal B is used for international arrivals - it will take the child 35-45 mins to go through passport check, pick up bag, & go through customs clearance.

I'm flying late next month from London, England. I have to make a connection at Newark; I'm a little confused and scared about what will happen and what I have to do. Can anyone help? I would be greatly appreciated

Allow me to walk you through this process: 1. As an international arrival at EWR (Newark Airport), you need to go through passport control, pick up your bag, go through customs clearance - and (if continuing your journey) re-check-in your bag. You will be guided through these procedures by signs. 2. However, it is very important that you find out from your London departure airline (if continuing on another airline) if they will transfer your bags to your connecting flight at Newark. If they don't, you need to take your bag with you to the connecting terminal. 3. NOTE: All international arrivals, except those by United Airlines, arrive in Terminal B. United uses exclusively Terminal C which also has customs facilities. Some United flights also use Terminal A. Since I don't know your airline, your ticket and the overhead screens on arrival will show the Airline flight number, departure gate & time. 4. All three terminals have 3 gate areas, i.e., A1-A3, with corresponding gates. 5. If you need to transfer to another terminal, you need to take the AirTrain, which makes its continuous loop and serves the post-security area. Signs will direct you. Count on up to an hour for gate to gate transfer. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/ewr and click on "Terminal Map", under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the text and read details. Piece of cake - you can do it!

Is there a full service U.S. Post Office in each terminal that is available to anyone? It seems to say there is but isn't too clear... it says there are Business Centers in each airline's lounge (but lounges are not available to everyone are they?) I have two things I'd like to ship but I don't know if I'll be able to. Help!

Where would I need to go to meet someone I have to pick up arriving from an international flight after I park in the short term parking and they are clear through custom? And is terminal B for all international flights?

As an international arrival, your party will arrive at Terminal B - unless they fly Continental Airlines, in which case they arrive at Terminal C. They will need to complete customs procedure (about 35-40 mins) before they can exit the secured area of the terminal. I suggest you meet them in the Arrivals area close to the information counter. For up-to-date parking information call 1-888-250-8277 or 973--679-1135 (press 2 for fees).

I'm departing terminal B - can I access post security restaurants in Terminal C before departure?

The answer is no you cannot access the post-security areas of terminals from which you don't arrive/depart from.

We have an early flight at 7:30 AM. Will restaurants be open?

Of course they will be, some restaurants are open at 5 when the airport officially opens to departing passengers. Most flights that leave from EWR, leave in the morning so they should be open
