  • can I make the transfer in time for next flight

Flight booked on Iceland Air from RDU to Hamburg, Germany. First flight is actually operated by Jet Blue from RDU to Boston arriving 20:08 Terminal C. Connecting flight Iceland Air departs 21:30 Terminal C. That 1 hr. and 22 min. We will have checked bags and carryon. Can we make this connecting flight and do we have to go through a 2nd security check and will they transfer our checked bags from Jet Blue to Iceland Air connecting flight.

IcelandAir uses Terminal E in Boston. Since everything is on the same reservation you don't have to do anything with your checked bags in Boston but you do have to go to Terminal E and go through security. You should have just enough time as long as your flight from RDU is on-time.

Also, note that you posted this on the Newark Airport page, not Boston. I am assuming that's a mistake and that Newark is not involved in your journey at all.

Thank you. Yes Boston is the airport not Newark but this website wouldn't allow my selection of Boston and kept asking to designate an airport so I used RDU, not sure why Newark showed up.

Hi Zap, question now for my home-bound flight, could I arrive on my Detroit to Newark flight - arriving 20.00 - would i make my BA coonection to LHR at 21.30? TIA

Do you have checked bags? With checked bags that's not possible. Without checked bags it's very very difficult as you will still have to change terminals and go through security.

Thanks ZAP, yes we have cked bags, I'm doing very well at this am I? :)

Apologies - 'not' doing well at this!

A group of 6 adults plan to fly from Glasgow to Newark UA162 in October 9am flight landing in Newark 11.45am local time. Our connecting flight to Lexington UA4457 leaves 13.35 therfore giving us 1hr 50mins....is this achievable or more likely unachievable?? Both United Airlines flights.

It's possible if the flight from Glasgow is on-time.

I am looking to purchase a JetBlue flight from Orlando Fl arriving Terminal A connecting with a United Flight terminal C to Los Angles onto Auckland New Zealand. I have 2 hours to connect is this enough time. and do I have to collect bags from JetBlue and then recheck in at United or can they be transferred?

United and JetBlue do not have an interline baggage agreement. This is barely possible if everything goes perfectly. I personally wouldn't try it.

if I then chose to fly United connecting with United would 2 hours be enough to transit

Yes, that would be enough time, especially if everything was on the same reservation. Even if it wasn't you could show your second confirmation to the United agent in Orlando and they should check your bags through to Auckland.

I will arrive at EWR at 1:25pm (if on schedule) Terminal B and depart at 3:00pm, Terminal B. Do I have time? Is there a convenient place to smoke a cigarette at the terminal?? Thank you!

You barely have enough time to make this connection, let alone having enough time to take a smoke break.

That was my fear. Thank you!

I will be flying from Manchester GB to Pittsburgh mid august, all flights are with united, I have a 3hr 50min layover in Newark before I catch my connecting fight too Pittsburgh at another terminal, will that be enough time? also I'm not sure what happens with my baggage, will I have to collect it and re check in? and pass through security to board my next flight, any info would be great. thanks.

Yes, that is enough time. You will arrive in Terminal B or C, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go to your departure terminal (you could depart from A or C), then go through security.

I'm flying from LA to Stockholm via Newark. My flight times just got changed so I'll arrive at 16:30 to Terminal C and the flight to Stockholm leaves at 17:20 from Terminal B. That's 50 minutes. Both flights are with SAS. Do I have a chance of making my flight?

Your first flight will be operated by United. United runs a shuttle bus inside security from Terminal C to the gates SAS uses in Terminal B. You have just enough time if your flight from LA is on-time.

We will arrived from France at EWR terminal B around 14h 30 , my wife is legaly blind. We have now to book a connecting flight to Chicago. How many time do we need for this connection, going trough the all process with the airport assistance for disabled ? Is 2 hours enough ? Thanks

On two separate reservations I would want at LEAST 3 hours. On the same reservation 2 hours might be OK.

My flight from SFO to EWR lands Sat at 6:40 pm. My departing flight is 8:15 to Oslo Norway. Do I have enough time? What terminals will I land and fly out of? How do the terminals connect?

If both flights are on United then you just walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal C. You have enough time.

I will be flying on Delta airlines from Paris CDG arriving at 4:40 PM and have to catch a flight to RDU departing at 7:30. Will this be enough time to clear customs and immigration and make it to the next gate?

Yes, that should be enough time.

My mother will be travelling from Mumbai to Phoenix and has a layover at EWR. The layover time is 1 hr 36 min. I wanted to know if that is enough to clear immigration and move on to the next terminal to catch her second flight. Also I hope the Check in baggage is automatically transferred.

She will arrive in Terminal C, go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through US Customs, re-check her bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to her departure gate, also in Terminal C. She has just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Hi there, I will fly with UA from CLE-EWR, arriving at 7:30pm (Terminal C) and leaving from Terminal B at 9:05pm (LH to DUS). Do I have to go through security again and will I have enough time to get my connecting flight? Thanks!

United runs a shuttle bus inside security from Terminal C to the Satellite of Terminal B where your Lufthansa flight will depart. You have enough time.

    Thanks a lot! :-)

Do you have to go through immigration at Newark for a domestic flight? Either arriving or leaving from Newark to Fla. ?

If you are just taking a domestic flight there is no US Immigration or Customs.
