Help with flight connection times please!Jun 12, 201344I am arriving to Newark terminal B from Heathrow and have a 1 hour 40 minute lay over time to go through immigration and to terminal C for connecting flight to San Jose. Is this possible? any tips or help very welcome, first time through US in transit and very worried about connection time.claire29posted on Wed, Jun 12[ Reply ]1 person likes this post [ Like ]That will be pretty tough. Is your LHR flight on United, BA, or Virgin? If not United, were your tickets bought on one reservation or two? If so BA or Virgin Atlantic (whoever you are flying from Heathrow) will probably be able to check your bags through to United, however you will still have to claim them in immigration and re-check them once you get through (same process if your first flight is on United). Take the Airtrain from TB to TC.ZAPposted on Wed, Jun 121 person likes this post [ Like ]oh ! im flying with United from LHR, I contacted the airline today as I was worried and they claim its "plenty of time mam" stating its a 1 hr 25 minute connection! I didn't realise our bags would not be transferred onto our onward flight either! I assumed as with all other flights I have ever taken (not via US!) that they would be sent on to our destination. so can anyone tell me a plane door to plane door run through of what to expect, the tickets were bought as one ticket from United, they operate both the LHR - Newark and Newark onwards to SJO. Thanks in advance!claire29posted on Wed, Jun 12You will get off the plane and be funneled to Immigration. You will then go through immigration, then claim your bags, then walk through customs, then re-check the bags with United at the re-check counter. If you arrive in Terminal B you will then go up to the Airtrain, then take the Airtrain to Terminal C then go through security. If you arrive in Terminal C you will go upstairs and go through security and then go to your gate. Immigration can take around an hour these days and security can take 20-30 minutes, so you will definitely have to hurry.ZAPposted on Wed, Jun 121 person likes this post [ Like ]On arrival at EWR you go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag where indicated. Then board the Airtrain (running on average every 7 mins), which will take you to Terminal C, where you arrive in the pre-security area of the gate level and need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting flight at Terminal C whose Gate level leads to three gate areas: 1. Gate Area C1, arranged in a Y-shape, with gates C70-99; 2. Gate Area C2 (gates C101-C115); and 3. Gate Area C3 (gates C120-139). You should be able to make your flight on time. Terminal C is the exclusive United & United Express airline terminal.wejun13posted on Wed, Jun 121 person likes this post [ Like ]

Change of Terminal at Newark Airport.Jun 6, 201311I will be flying from Toronto to Mumbai. My flight goes from Toronto to Newark at terminal A operated by Air Canada. then i have connecting flight From Newark Terminal B to Mumbai operated by Air India. I have duration of 6 hours between two flight. My Question is does i will be require to have USA visa to change terminal from A to B to take another international flight? Does i need to go through all security check procedure at Newark just to catch another flight from different terminal??? Does my luggage will be transferred by Airlines or i have to take it with me and go through all security check?? What is the best way to travels from Terminal A to Terminal B.???Narendraposted on Thu, Jun 6Unless your citizenship is of a country where you don't need a visa to visit the United States, you will need a transit visa. Yes, going between A and B there will be security. If your tickets were bought on one reservation then Air Canada should be able to check your bags through and transfer them for you but if not you will have to do it yourself. The only way to get between terminals A and B is the AirTrain, which runs outside security.ZAPposted on Thu, Jun 61 person likes this post [ Like ]

Newark to Raleigh DurhamMay 29, 201343I will be arriving Newark on Aug 8th at 5:10am by United AIrlines at Termical C. I have a connecting flight to Raleigh-Durham at 7am on the same day again operated by United Airlines from Terminal A. Will 2 hrs of connecting time be sufficient for all my immigration procedures? Do I need to recheck my luggage even if my connectiing flight is from the same airlines? How long does it take for travelling from Terminal C to Terminal A? Are they well connected? What if I miss my flight, will United Airlines take care of it?Maniposted on Mon, May 272 people like this post [ Like ]At EWR, international flights by United are in Terminal C, while some domestic UA flights are also in Terminal A. As an international arrival, you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in your bag where indicated. Your bags will then be transferred to your domestic connecting flight. Thereafter, hop on the Airtrain which makes its continuous loop to Terminal A, where you need to go through security check before proceeding to your gate. 2 hrs will suffice.tumay13posted on Tue, May 28Immigration shouldn't be very busy that early in the morning. You will have to claim your bag in immigration and re-check it with United when you exit customs. You can take the Airtrain from C to A or go back through security in C and take the shuttle to A (taking the airtrain is probably faster). Yes, if you miss your connection you will be rebooked on the next flight to your destination with available seats. United has 6 more flights after yours from Newark to RDU.ZAPposted on Tue, May 281 person likes this post [ Like ]A quick question: Can a guitar be carried as a cabin luggage?? or should it be checked in? Which transport vehicle should we use?ddhposted on Sat, May 25At EWR may may arrive via United either at Terminals A or C and need to get to Lufthansa flight at Terminal B: On arrival, hop on the AirTrain (serving pre-security, non-sterile areas on the Gate Level of all terminals (taking a few minutes); however at Terminal B you need to go through security check first before proceeding to your gate. You have enough time.samay13posted on Sat, May 25

International to Domestic at Terminal CMay 2, 201320I will arrive from London at Terminal C and will have 60 min to tranfer to flight to Honolulu also departing from Terminal C. Will I have to collect my lugagge and go trough Immigration at thet time? Or can i check in my lugagge in London all the way to Honolulu and do trough Immigration at Honolulu?manuelauxposted on Wed, May 1You will go through immigration when you enter the U.S. 60 minutes will be very tight. Where are you connecting and on what airlines?ZAPposted on Wed, May 1All international arrivals need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bags. Terminal C is exclusively used by United Airlines, and its Gate level leads to three gate areas: 1. Gate Area C1, arranged in a Y-shape, with gates C70-99; 2. Gate Area C2 (gates C101-C115); and 3. connecting flight to UKApr 25, 201320I am arriving from Indianapolis on United and departing on United to London, 40 min between flights. Will I have to go through security since I did in Indianapolis?roslposted on Thu, Apr 25No, you will not, both of your gates will be connected beyond security. Just look at the monitors for your next gate and follow the signs.ZAPposted on Thu, Apr 25United uses mainly Terminal C, but also uses Terminal A for some domestic flights. These terminals are located on opposite ends, served by a shuttle bus from Gate A28 To gate C71. If arriving at TA, you will barely make it, even though you need not go through security check. Terminal C has three gate areas: 1. Gate Area C1, arranged in a Y-shape, with gates C70-99; 2. Gate Area C2 (gates C101-C115); and 3. Gate Area C3 (gates C120-139). For details on your arrival flight, open http://www.panynj.gov/airports/newark-liberty.html - under 'Track Flights, left side, enter flight number, airline & date.thapr13posted on Thu, Apr 25

frankfurt-milan-newark-atlantaApr 22, 201311layover in newark from milan 1.30 min. Do I still have enough time to get to my conneciton flight? Do i have to take shuttle to my connection flight and also do i have to go through customs?***posted on Sun, Apr 211 person likes this post [ Like ]I really don't know if that will be enough time. Generally Immigration can take up to an hour so either your flight from Milan will have to be early or you will have to be really lucky to make your connection. You may or may not have to take a shuttle to terminal A (depends on where your [presumably] United Express flight to Atlanta leaves from. If you're flying Delta to Atlanta you need to take the Airtrain to terminal B.ZAPposted on Mon, Apr 22
