My son is flying home from Portugal on United into Newark at 1:55PM Will he have enough connection time to take a 3:50PM Air Canada flight from Newark to Ottawa Canada

That should be enough time. note that both flights will be operated by United.

We arrive on LH at 4.15 pm and connect to UA to MIA at 6.53 pm. Bookings are on separate tickets. Is this time sufficient?

Yes, that should be enough time.

Hi, Im travelling from Edinburgh to Houston, all with UA, with a 3 hour lay over in Newark. Will I need to collect and re check my bags at Newark or will they transfer automatically?

Yes, you will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs. You can then immediately re-check them at the re-check desk.

Will arrive in EWR on January 2nd at 4.35am and depart to MCO at 5.50am , United flights. Is it a sufficient connecting time?

It might be possible because you are arriving so early, but normally you need at least 90 minutes.

I am traveling from Dallas to Newark and on to Zurich on upcoming Thursday. These are on separate reservations. I am checking baggage in Dallas. Will I need to go through security again and will I have enough time with a 1 hour and 20 minute layover?

If they are on separate reservations you will have to claim your bags and re-check and go through security. It will be difficult unless you get in early.

I am traveling from Denver to Tel Aviv in November through EWR and have the option of a 1hr11min layover or a 4.5hr layover. Is 1hr11mins enough time to connect to an international flight in Fall/Winter? Same ticket, legal connection from the airline.

Yes, 1 hr 11 mins is enough time if your flight from Denver is on-time.

  • Connection between Virgin America and SAS
    Sep 25, 2015
We land at EWR at 16:30 on Virgin America in Terminal A and have a connection in Terminal B on SAS at 17:40. Is that enough time and do we have to clear security again? We have TSA precheck!

You need around 30 min max to go from terminal a to b. There is an air train that you can take. For security i am not sure but i think you need to go through it again

Yes, you will need to go through security again in Terminal B.

Arriving at EWR from YHZ at 1:30pm on UA4644 in Terminal A. Connecting flight is UA1530 at 3:19pm in Terminal C. Do I have enough time? What is the quickest way to get to terminal C from A? Will I need to get luggage for customs then recheck and will I need to clear security again at Terminal C? Thanks.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Halifax. All you have to do is take the United shuttle bus which runs inside security from Terminal A to Terminal C. you have enough time.

our flight to st kitts from buffalo through newark has a 90 minute connection time. is that enough? Our return flight has 2.5 hour connection. Is that enough and what is the process for customs and checked bags?

Yes, that is enough time. On your way to St. Kitts you just have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. On your return you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go to your departure terminal (if it is different from where you arrived) via the AirTrain, then go through security and to your departure gate.

Arriving UA515 9/25 8:29 if on time need gate arrival and departure gate for flight UA150 9/25 9:00 AM p;ease as we only have 30 mins between flights. Thx

They should both be in Terminal C. You have a chance if the first flight is on-time.

    Thx! Hope so!

Flight next week originating in StL, ending in Geneva. Not familiar enough with Newark. Carrier is United. Layover is 1hr 31 min. About to book. Should I be concerned at timing - can't afford to miss this international flight.

It should be enough time. You will likely arrive in Terminal A and you will depart from Terminal C. United runs a shuttle bus inside security between the two terminals.

I'm arriving EWR at 3:05 (IF on-time) on American, Terminal A. Next flight is SAS, Terminal B at 5:40. These are on separate reservations, but I am not checking baggage. Will I have to go through security again at EWR, and is there ample time even if there is some delay? Thank you so much for helping, I come from a long line of worriers!

Yes, you will have to go through security again in Terminal B. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Thanks. What if we are 1/2 hour late. Is 2 hours enough time or should I book an earlier flight into Newark?

If you are a half hour late that would probably still be enough time. More than that and I'd get nervous.

  • Connection time
    Sep 14, 2015
I am flying from London to Toronto via Newark with United Airlines and Air Canda. My connection time is 1h and 30 mins, is this enough time?

That is barely enough time assuming everything goes smoothly. In Chicago you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs, re-check your bags, possibly change terminals, and go through security.
