International ArrivalNov 28, 201110I am flying Delta domestically to EWR and meeting a colleague flying in internationally on Continental. Where is the best place to meet him once he has cleared customs?JBposted on Mon, Nov 281. I suggest you meet him/her in Terminal C's baggage claim area near the information desk. As you arrive in Terminal B, take the Airtrain on the Concourse level, post-security, to Terminal C, where it arrives on the Upper Level's center, post-security. Then proceed to the baggage claim area.HH39posted on Mon, Nov 28

Airline TerminalNov 10, 201111Hi I am coming into Newark on United operated by Continental on an International Flight from Germany. I have a connecting flight in Newark on American Airline to Miami. I have to clear Customs and collect luggage. Which terminal does Continental International Flight come into Newark and which terminal does American Airline depart. How do I get to each terminal?Sjbposted on Wed, Nov 91 person likes this post [ Like ]You arrive at Terminal C and will have to take the Airtrain to Terminal A (the train makes a continuous loop and takes only minutes). After Customs clearance, you need to re-check-in your bags with American before taking the train to Terminal A. Airtrain stations: at Terminal C on Upper Level's center; at Terminal A close to gateway A2.(TA has three gate areas: at gate area A1 gates A10-18, at area A2 gates A20-28 and at area A3 gates A30-39.MUCposted on Thu, Nov 10

Short layoverNov 16, 201120I'm arriving at EWR at 6:13 from DCA and have to catch a 7:15 flight to PDX. Looking at the terminal map, and seeing the different terminals, will I have a problem making my flight?DEEposted on Sat, Nov 5EWR only has 3 terminals - TA, TB & TC. All three have a concourse level with 3 gateways each (i.e., A1 to A3, B1 to B3, C1 to C3). TA is for United, TC is for Continental and TB is mainly for Delta. Use the Airtrain to get to your connecting terminal: at TA is close to gateway A2, at TB its close to gateway B2, at TC it is on Upper Level's center. Your time should be sufficient.MUCposted on Sat, Nov 5

bus or train to terminal CNov 1, 201110Hi there, I am travelling from Ottawa (Yow) to Belize City via Newark (1h30mins layover). Both flights are continental. Can someone tell me if I will need to pick up and re-check my baggage and if I will have to go through customs? I do not understand why I can't just change terminals if I am already precleared in Ottawa?kimposted on Mon, Oct 31These are Ottawa Airport rules: "Flight connection from an International flight to the United States: If your flight originated outside of Canada or the U.S. and you need to connect to a US destination, you have two options depending on whether your airline automatically transfers your baggage or not: (a) if it does, and you have a boarding pass to your connecting flight, proceed via a connecting flights corridor (avoiding Canadian Customs), go through US Customs and your checked baggage will be automatically transferred (US Customs, at their discretion, can recall your baggage for manual inspection). (b) if the airline does not offer auto transfer of your baggage, you have to pick it up from the carousel & follow first normal international arrivals procedures, then U.S. ones." In short, if Ottawa is one of the Canadian APs offering US customs clearance, you don't have to go through customs in Newark, but either way time is sufficient. The Airtrain connects all 3 terminals and takes minutes.MUCposted on Tue, Nov 1

Terminal C to A with luggageOct 7, 201110I would be travelling for the first time overseas and port of entry would be Newark Terminal C. The connecting flight to Washington Dulles is from Terminal A. Do I need to get my check in luggage with me to Terminal A all by myself? Also, do I need to check my check in luggage at Washington airport also as I have another connecting flight from same airport.aa24posted on Thu, Oct 61. Unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports in Canada and the Caribbean, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Your luggage will then arrive at your end destination airport. Use the shuttle bus which is located at Terminal C near gate C71 to get to Terminal A, near gate A28. Or take the Airtrain close to gateway A2 and arrive at Terminal C on upper level - all transfers are in the post-security areas. You need not check-in your luggage at Dulles for your connecting flight.HH39posted on Fri, Oct 7

HK -> EWR -> TorontoSep 3, 201110I'm traveling from HK to Toronto with a four-hour layover in EWR. In EWR, I have to go from terminal B to C. I was wondering what the procedure is from when I land (going through customs, claiming my baggage, etc) to terminal C in detail. This is my first time traveling alone and I am ever so confused!MKposted on Sat, Sep 3Toronto Airport is one of Canada's Airports with US customs clearance. Make sure that your bags are properly tagged , showing EWR & YYZ. Upon your arrival at EWR's Terminal B, you need to collect your bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in your bags. Thereafter you can either walk to Terminal C or catch the Airtrain by going up to the Concourse level, passing through security, and boarding the train near Gateway 2. The next stop, a minute later, is Terminal C where you will be already in the post-security area. TC has gate area C1 arranged in a Y-shape with gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130. Plenty of time!1039posted on Sat, Sep 3

Which terminals are involved?avantiposted on Thu, Sep 1Southwest comes in at Terminal A; take the AirTrain on the Concourse Level, close to the A2 gateway to Terminal C, where you arrive on the Upper Level's center, at post-security. TC has three gateways: C1,C2,C3. C1 has gates 70-99, C2 has gates 101A-115A-B & C3 has gates C12-130. Look at your ticket which gate you depart from.1039posted on Fri, Sep 2

Transfer procedureAug 29, 201130Hello, I will be flying into Newark from Manchester UK with Continental & will be connecting onward to Baltimore, again with Continental. Arrival TB & Departure TA. 2.5 hour 'layover'. Can anyone help with a little info regarding the procedure with my baggage, I assume it will be checked through to Baltimore, but will I need to collect from the carousel at EWR & if so will the transfer drop off point be somewhere nearby/clearly marked? Thanks, first visit to this airport so would just like a little heads up so I'm not totally clueless :)Elisposted on Mon, Aug 29Terminal C is exclusively for departures/arrivals of Continental. Continental passengers arriving from overseas and connecting to another domestic Continental flight will not need to switch terminals. However, upon arrival you need to collect your bags (which should be tagged as through baggage with codes of all your Airports), then go through customs clearance and recheck-in your bag. Then proceed to your next gate: Concourse level has three gateways leading to (a) Gateway C1 - arranged in a Y-shape, with gates C70 to C75; C80 to C88, & C90 to C99 on each side; (b) Gateway C2 has gates C101A to C115A-B (15 gates); and (c) Gateway C3 has gates C12 to C130. DO CHECK YOUR TICKET WHICH SHOULD STATE TC FOR DEPARTURE & ARRIVALS; then look at which gates you need to transfer to. Good luck!HH39posted on Mon, Aug 29Many thanks for that HH39 :) I'm just a little confused as the itinerary I have states the International arrival is into TB but then states the domestic flight down to Baltimore is from TA. *Incidentally the return trips are both into & out of TC!Elisposted on Mon, Aug 29Many thanks for that HH39 :) I'm just a little confused as the itinerary I have states the International arrival is into TB but then states the domestic flight down to Baltimore is from TA. *Incidentally according to the same itinerary the return journeys both arrive & depart from TC!Elisposted on Mon, Aug 29

Term A to Term CAug 26, 201121My daughter will soon be flying into EWR. She arrives at Term A and has a connecting flight at Term C. Looks like from what I read she will best be served by the airtrain. Any hints as to how she can quickly find the best way to the AirTrain from Term A.cwlumbraposted on Thu, Aug 251 person likes this post [ Like ]The AirTrain stop in Terminal A is on the Concourse level close to the A2 gateway. Clearly marked.1039posted on Thu, Aug 25I have a similar situation except my mother who is 78 is travelling. I have requested that she get wheel chair assistance as she has a bad hip and can't walk too far. Will she get assistance from arrival gate to departure gate? 1 hour and 51 min between flights. Thanks!Annaposted on Fri, Aug 26
