Is there a timetable/frequency for the shuttles that go between Terminal A to Terminal C? I have 55 minutes to make gate connection. (A24 to C84). Unfortunately, my arriving flight doesn't have best ontime record.

Yes, that should be enough time, you can take the A to C shuttle bus and not have to go through security again in EWR. Your bags will be checked straight through to BZE after you go through immigration preclearance in YOW.

The airside shuttle does not go to Terminal B - you will have to take the Airtrain and go through security again. Taking the airtrain should just take 10-15 minutes, then whatever time it takes you to go through security.

The shuttle bus runs on the secure side of the airport, so you don't have to go through security again.

There's a shuttle bus between A and C that runs on the secure side, but taking it can still take 15-20 minutes. You will have to hope that your first flight is on time to have any hope of making this connection. At least there are flights later in the day and/or other options to re-book you to phoenix if you miss your connection.

That is correct. If you are connecting from A to C or vice-versa, it is probably faster to use the shuttle.

Both flights will likely be in Terminal C so you won't have to do anything except go to the gate for your Madrid flight. You won't have to do anything with security or with your baggage

If using different airlines, make sure your first airline will transfer your bags to the second one. As an international arrival, you will need to go through passport check, pick up bags (use the baggage carts there) and go through customs clearance. If airline transfers your bags, simply re-check them in where indicated; you have 2 options: Enlist the help of a Skycap in that area to get you to TC, or take your baggage cart and exit the terminal; then take a taxi to TC (an elevated train runs from terminal to terminal in the unsecured area, but you can't take the cart on it).

Yes, 52 minutes is doable and considering it's at 2 PM, there's probably another flight to Ft. Myers after that if you miss your connection due to delays.

You will not have to claim baggage in EWR. It will be checked through to Halifax in Atlanta. You will clear immigration in Halifax.

If your bags are checked through then you can leave/return to the airport as you wish. They will be transferred to your next flight despite the long connection.

US Airways does not fly SEA-Newark or Newark-Lisbon. Are you sure you're not on United? An hour is tight, but doable. Yes, United would check your bags through to Lisbon in Seattle.
