connection timeApr 6, 201311Hello, I am arriving with a friend from Italy (Milan, MXP) at 1.30 p.m. on Monday. We have the connection at 2.59 p.m. to SFO. All flights with United Airlines, can we make it? How long does it take for security controls generally? Checked bags are managed by the UA? Thanks a lot!MF88posted on Sat, Apr 6Yes, that should be enough time. Immigration will probably take 30 minutes to an hour though so there's no time to waste. Yes, you will re-check your bags with United when you exit customs. If you miss your connection United has many more EWR-SFO flights so there's no need to worry too much.ZAPposted on Sat, Apr 61 person likes this post [ Like ]

flight change timeApr 4, 201311Our flight artrtives at terminal B from paris and we have to get to a united flight to seattle. How long willthis take to get through customs and check in at United***posted on Thu, Apr 4Immigration will take about an hour or so, maybe 90 mins, then you go upstairs and take the Airtrain over to Terminal C. Check in and security there will probably take about a half hour, as it will probably be pretty busy at that time.ZAPposted on Thu, Apr 41 person likes this post [ Like ]

abandoning a flightMay 10, 201321I fly from Tokyo to Newark then connect to Albany, NY. Will my baggage be checked through to Albany, or will I, a U.S. citizen, have to pick up my baggage to go through customs and then recheck it for the Newark to Albany flight?kbposted on Mon, Apr 11 person likes this post [ Like ]You will have to claim your baggage in immigration, go through customs, and then re-check it with United once you exit customs at the re-check desk.ZAPposted on Mon, Apr 1

Ottawa - Newark - Belize CityMar 29, 201321We're flying with United from Ottawa to Belize City, with a 53 minute layover in Newark. I think (but am not sure) that we land in Terminal A and depart Terminal C. We clear customs in Ottawa, and I think (but again don't know for sure) that our bags are checked through to Belize. Assuming the Ottawa-Newark leg is on time, is that enough time to make the connecting flight?PFGposted on Fri, Mar 291 person likes this post [ Like ]Forgot to mention our flight times: Leave YOW at 6:02am, arrive EWR 7:41 AM. Leave EWR at 8:34 amPFGposted on Fri, Mar 29

ConnectionMar 29, 201320A friend and I arrive from Syracuse at 11:28 am on United Express (which tends to be in terminal A) and have to connect to United flight Phoenix, AZ that departs at 12:09pm. United confirmed its a valid connection. What is the fastest and easiest way to get from Terminal A to C?concernedflyposted on Fri, Mar 29There's a shuttle bus between A and C that runs on the secure side, but taking it can still take 15-20 minutes. You will have to hope that your first flight is on time to have any hope of making this connection. At least there are flights later in the day and/or other options to re-book you to phoenix if you miss your connection.ZAPposted on Fri, Mar 29

airtrain vs. shuttle busMar 24, 201310when taking the airtrain between terminals, you have to go through security again, correct? But if you take the shuttle bus does that mean you don't have to go through security again? Which is faster overall?KBeaposted on Sun, Mar 24

Enough Time?Mar 24, 201310I have a flight this summer from Denver to Newark then from Newark to Madrid, both through United Airlines. I arrive at Newark at 6:30PM and my flight to Madrid leaves there at 8:20PM. That leaves me 1 hour and 50 minutes. I don't know which terminals I will be arriving at or leaving from. Will they be the same? Will I need to do anything with baggage or security again even though I will have already done it in Denver? I haven't flown often and don't know the airport at all. I am really scared to miss my flight! Any advice would be appreciated!GKLposted on Sun, Mar 24
