I will arrive Terminal B at 1150 from Stockholm with Air Canada operated by United, one reservation. AC Express depart for YYZ at 1435 from Terminal A and as i understand i have to clear immigration and customs at EWR when arriving from Stockholm. Is there a baggage drop after customs at Terminal B or do i have to check my bags at Terminal A?

Yes, since your bags should be checked through to YYZ you can drop your bags at the re-check in Terminal B, then take the airtrain to Terminal A and go through security.

    Perfect, thank you!

Arriving from Toronto on United, terminal b. Connecting thru terminal c on Lufthansa. Do I need to clear security again?

To the best of my knowledge YYZ is your customs passage into the US so technically you are already in the US before you physically arrive. So - no you don't.

United flights from Toronto arrive in Terminal A. Lufthansa flights depart from Terminal B. There is a shuttle inside security.

I will arrive United from London and have to transfer to United flight to Indianapolis. I do not walk far and may need a chair/buggy. How long should I leave for transfer (including immigration (UK Passport)

Considering your mobility difficult I'd aim for around 3 hours.

Thank you, that is helpful. They tell me only connection is 2hrs so will have to hope flight is on time and try and rush. I only have hand luggage. Who I ask about wheelchair help?

We are travelling with United next week from London to Panama City. We arrive at EWR Terminal B at 1200 and leave from Terminal C at 1445, will that be enough time? Do we have to collect our bags at Terminal B?

Yes, that should be enough time. Assuming all flights are on the same reservation, you will arrive in Terminal B, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the Airtrain to Terminal C, go through security, and to your departure gate.

Thank you - that's very helpful.

Hi, Im am flying from Toronto through EWR on way to Dominican. I have 1h15mins. Both flights are in and out of terminal C Will I have enough time? Do I have to clear US immigration/customs and recheckin? Or Will I be checked through from YYZ. Thanks!

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto so all you have to do in Newark is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. However, note that your flight from Toronto will likely arrive in Terminal A, not C. United operates a shuttle bus inside security from Terminal A to C. You should have enough time.

Wonderful, thanks for the note. The expedia itenary says I arrive in C and then depart from C, but you never know ;o)

Hello, I am connecting through EWR, wondering if transit time is long enough. I'm landing in terminal B at 2.55pm with SAS from Stockholm, and departing 5.29pm from terminal A with United to New Orleans. It's a Saturday, so it should be enough, or?

Yes, that should be enough time.

I would like to fly into Newark from RDU on United, then transfer to BA for my flight to Paris. Is this easy? How do I get my luggage and then travel to the British Airways terminal? I will arrive at 1 PM on United and the BA flight is at 8 PM. Thank you.

You will arrive in Terminal A or C. You will claim your bags, take the AirTrain to Terminal B and re-check your bags with British Airways when their counter opens (which will probably be about 3). and then go through security.

    Thank you very much.

  • should we sky check our luggage

I, we are flying from Halifax to Newark connecting to LA. We only have 51 min connection with a baby. If we are sky checking our stroller how long we will wait for it at the gate and is it faster with the bus or the sky train from terminal A to C with United.

Take the bus. if you take the train then you have to go through security again in Terminal C, which you don't have time to do.

  • Changing terminals

Hi I flying from Ottawa today to Ediburgh via EWR. My flight arrives at 19:00 at terminal A and my connection leaves at 19:50 from Terminal C. United assured me when I purchased the ticket that this was a valid connection and I would not miss my connecting flight. Do you have any advice on changing terminal quickly?

United operates a shuttle bus inside security from Terminal A to Terminal C. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ottawa. If your flight from Ottawa arrives on-time you can make it.

  • Hong Kong - EWR - Pittsburgh only 1 hr 45 mins for transit

I'm looking for the flight from Hong Kong to Pittsburgh which need to transit in EWR Newark Airport. Is 1 hr 45 mins enough time? The flight from Hong Kong to EWR is operated by United Airline, and the flight from EWR to Pittsburgh operated by Republic Airlines dba United Express, that means I need to go from which terminal to which one? If I missed the flight for late arrival of the international flight, will the airline arrange me to take the next flight to Pittsburgh accordingly? Your help please. Thanks.

You will arrive in terminal B or C and depart from Terminal A or C. You have barely enough time if everything goes smoothly. If you miss your connection you will be rebooked on the next available flight to Pittsburgh.

  • Brussels- Newark - Jacksonville 2 hours enough?

Coming from Brussels to Newark tomorrow. HAve to go on to Jacksonville both connections are United. Not sure what to do when I get to Newark and if my 2 hours is enough. Can you help? Thank you.

You will arrive in Terminal B, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk. Then take the AirTrain to your departure terminal (likely A), and go through security and to your departure gate. 2 Hours is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Terminal C to B in 1h 05m?

Hello, I am connecting through EWR on Feb 12, but a little worried if transit time is long enough. I'm landing in terminal C at 4.25pm with UA from San Francisco, and departing 5.30pm from terminal B with SAS to Copenhagen, which leaves only 1h 5m to change terminals on a Friday afternoon. Is that enough?

That should be enough time. There is a shuttle bus inside security that connects Terminal C with the SAS gates in Terminal B.
