  • 56 minutes from Terminal C to B

I'm arriving from Las Vegas at Terminal C (United) and will leave for Dusseldorf at Terminal B (operated by Lufthansa). I have purchased one ticket with Lufthansa. I have a layover of 56 minutes. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible but it leaves very little time to spare if your first flight is delayed. United does run a shuttle bus to Terminal b.

I am flying United Airlines from Atlanta to Mumbai via Newark with 2 kids (1 stroller included). I have a layover of 1 hr 30 mins in Newark. Is this time adequate to take the Mumbai flight ?

Yes, that should be plenty of time. Both flights will likely be in Terminal C, in which case all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There's a chance you will arrive in Terminal A, if so you will have to take a shuttle bus, which runs inside security From Terminal A to Terminal C. Either way you have enough time.

not necessary, if you have a different carrier then you are probably in terminal B in that case you can hop on to Air Train to terminal B, If you need help ask a Red Coat, do not ask the Burgundy Coats as they are not people friendly. Red Coats will go out their way to help you. Once upon a time I used to be a red coat. You should be in Terminal B in less than three minutes (if the air train is doing fine)

Both his or her flights are on united. United does not use Terminal B for domestic arrivals or any departures. Please disregard the above nonsensical post.

Hi, it will be enough time for connection with flight arriving from orlando around 8:30 and catch the flight for quebec in terminal C at 10AM, all pf this with 3 young children and the time to wait the stroller at the exit of the first plane? Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time. however, note that flights to Quebec City leave from Terminal A. It is connected inside security to Terminal C, where you will arrive, by a shuttle bus.

I'm flying out of Toronto (YYZ) on United on Tuesday. My flight arrives at 7:50am (scheduled) and my connecting flight to Las Vegas leaves at 9:27am. Will I have any issues making my connecting flight? No checked bags, only carry-on. Never had connecting flights before.

Yes, that should be plenty of time. If you arrive in Terminal A, it is connected to Terminal C inside security by a shuttle bus. If you arrive in Terminal C all gates in Terminal C are connected inside security. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto.

I thought I'd be okay, with YYZ having pre-clearence. I'm sure I'm arriving at Terminal A. Thanks for the reply.

  • Min. time needed to connect from Terminal C to A on different airlines

Arriving Terminal C from FRA 2:15pm on United, 29 June 2015 connecting with SW in Terminal A for a 3:55pm flight. I'll have to collect bags and clear customs, am I going to make it, given I've got approx. 1hr. 15M min to play with? Thanks in advance for your response!

That will be difficult. You will have to hope immigration lines are short in order to make it to Terminal A with your bags before the checked baggage cutoff.

I agree with Zap, not to make you nervous but it will be bit hard. unless you rush a little as EWR is a busy busy airport with all international arrivals. please request your flight crew of your situation and you might get lucky. There is an Immigration and customs in Terminal C. then again they also have one in Terminal B, If you are really lucky and your flight is taken to Terminal B, that's a different story. Good luck and I hope you make your flight. Please make sure you let your crew know about your situation.

Hi..I arrive from LIS to EWR at 15:45 in Terminal C on TAP airline and I have a connection to LAX on United from Terminal C at 17:59 with a connection time of 2 hr 15 min. Is it enough time between flights? Any advice much appreciated.

TAP and most United flights from Lisbon arrive in Terminal B. YOu will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then take the AirTrain to Terminal C and go through security. You should have enough time.

I will be arriving to Terminal A from savannah (by United) and I have 1 hr 35 min time for the connecting flight to Mumbai (air India) at terminal B, is this time gap is sufficient, pls advice.

Did you purchase one ticket or two separate tickets? If one ticket it should be enough time as your baggage will be tagged through to Mumbai. If two separate tickets I do not think it will be enough time to claim your bags from United and transfer them to Air India.

Thanks. No.. its one ticket and am checking at SAV (savannah, USA by United) to Mumbai directly via Newark, may I know the directions and guidance from Terminal A to Terminal B to reach air India zone..weather by train or bus and how long it will take i mean time..pls do suggest

You take the AirTrain. It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to get between terminals, then get your Air India boarding pass if you don't already have it, then you will have to go through security. Since you did purchase one ticket you should have enough time as long as your flight from Savannah is on-time.

  • EWR (international) to ATL (domestic) connection

I have 2.5 hours between my international arrival into EWR and domestic departure for ATL on United throughout. I believe the terminals are different. My queries are: 1. Will I go through immigration in EWR or ATL? 2. Can I book my luggage through to ATL from my international port of departure, or do I have to pick up and recheck my bags at EWR? 3. In light of the above, are 2.5 hours enough time to make the transfer? Thanks

You will arrive in Terminal B or C in Newark, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. You will depart from Terminal A or C. If necessary, take the AirTrain to your departure terminal, then go through security. 2.5 hours is enough time if your first flight is on-time.

If all goes according to plan, I have 1 hour 11 minutes to get from my gate from ATL to the gate for FRA (Frankfurt, Germany). All flights are through United and I only have carry-on luggage, no checked bags. Will this be enough time? I would change ATL-EWR to an earlier flight if I could afford to change it, so I'll have to make do, but I am scared. This is my first time flying without family AND first time internationally.

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. Both gates will probably be in Terminal C, but there's a chance you will arrive in Terminal A. If you do then United operates a shuttle bus inside security between A and C.

I will be leaving Heathrow and traveling to Madison, WI (MSN.) All legs of the trip will be on United. I will land in Newark and have 1:27 layover in EWR before the next flight to Chicago (followed by another connecting flight to Madison.) Is this enough time for the layover in EWR?

That is 3 minutes shorter the recommended International to Domestic connection time in Newark. However, if your flight from Heathrow is on-time I think you can make it.

Hello, I am flying from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada (YYT) and have 71 minutes between landing in Newark (EWR) and my connecting flight to Houston (IAH). Will this be enough time?

No, that is not enough time. As St. John's does not have US Immigration and Customs preclearance, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags, and go through security in Newark. The Minimum recommended time for such a connection is 90 minutes. Contact United or your travel agent for a later flight to Newark.

Hi, I have a flight that leaves from Oslo, Norway and that arrives at EWR for a connecting flight to Houston and then to Caracas. all are with United, I have 1h 45 minutes. Should this be enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time.

I am flying from Milan MXP to LAX via Newark in mid-June. I land in EWR at 13.40 and have a 1:26h connection time before departing for LAX. Both flights are with United airlines. Will I have to go through customs in Newark, get my luggage and pass security again? What if I miss the flight? Thanks

Yes, you will arrive in Terminal B or Terminal C, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through Customs, then if you arrived in B, take the Airtrain to Terminal C, where yoy will depart, then go through security and to your departure gate. The recommended time is 90 minutes. If you miss your connection, then you will be rebooked on the next available flight to LAX, of which United has many.

I have a United flight that leaves from Cleveland, OH that arrives at EWR for a connecting flight to ZRH in switzerland with a 1 hr and 41 minute connection. They are both United, but will this bea long enough connection time and will I have to get my luggage at EWR even though its a connecting flight

You will not have to claim your baggage in Newark. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You will depart from Terminal C. If you arrive in Terminal A, United operates a shuttle bus inside security between A and C. you have enough time.

Hello, I have a 2h 10min layover with a change currently listed from Term B to C. Flight is Stockholm, Sweden - EWR, EWR - Lima, Peru. United all the way. Am I screwed? Thank you so much in advance.

That should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal B or C, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then if you arrived in Terminal B, take the AirTrain to Terminal C, then go through security and to your departure gate.
