  • minimum time for connecting flight to flight

I am from Costa Rica. It is this enough time for a connection at Newark Airport? or is it too risky? United Airlines - (UA) 1081 12:35pm, Thu Jan 15 • San Jose (SJO) 6:45pm, Thu Jan 15 • Newark (EWR) Layover: 1h 50m in Newark United Airlines - (UA) 82 8:35pm, Thu Jan 15 • Newark (EWR) 9:20pm, Fri Jan 16 • Delhi (DEL)

That is probably enough time. Both flights will be in Terminal C, but you will have to go through US Immigration and Customs and security in between flights.

I will be flying with United Airlines leaving Calgary Canada, going thru Newark with final destination Orlando. I land at terminal c and have 30 minutes to get to terminal a for my connection. Will this be enough time? Thanks

I am on united the whole trip I actually land at A and fly out of C. Will my luggage be put thru to orlando or do I have to collect it at Newark

Note that your first flight will be operated by Air Canada. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Calgary. In Newark you do not have to do anything with your baggage, just take the AirTrain from Terminal A to Terminal C and go through security. 30 minutes is barely enough time.

  • Terminal C to A. Assistance possible?

Hello Our two 13 year old daughters will be connecting from Oslo to Montreal, and will only have 1h30 to change from terminal C to A. 1) What exactly is to be expected, point by point? Will their suitcases have enough time to follow? Should they take the bus or the Air Train? 2) Could they seek any assistance from someone there to make their connection less stressful? My concern is a line up at the customs, and them being to shy to say they are in a hurry.

Forget my question about the luggage. I understand they will have to retrieve them before taking the Air Train. It will be faster if they keep their suitcases as cabin luggage.

If they only have cabin baggage, They will arrive in Terminal B or C (B is actually most likely), go through US Immigration and Customs, then take the AirTrain to their departure terminal, A. They have enough time if their first flight is on-time. There are no "guides" to help them through the process, but there are plenty of people around both working for Immigration and for the Airlines to help.

Still unsure about the AirTrain thing. If they have to go from terminal C to terminal A (which is the case, not B) isn't it way easier and shorter for them to take the shuttle bus? Then they avoid all the hassle? They will be on United..

Sorry, it says I've had an answer, but I can't see it

Hi, I have 1:45 layover arriving Newark terminal B from Oslo, then a connecting flight from terminal C to New Orleans. Passing customs and re-check ing - do I have enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time.

I will be flying from MSP to Newark - transfer time 1H10mins for an international flight to LON with United, is this enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time. Your flight from Minneapolis may arrive in Terminal A, if so, there is a shuttle bus inside security to Terminal C where your flight to London will depart.

  • Time to clear Customs from CDG Paris through EWR on to IAH

What is the average time to clear customs coming from Paris, France connecting to Houston?

The minimum connection time is 90 minutes, but to be safe I'd want closer to 2 hours.

I fly next Wednesday from Munich and only have an hour and a half layover to Montreal. Is there anyways I will make this flight? Is it possible to get assistance on ground to make sure I can make this flight on time?

Yes, you have enough time. There is no assistance unless you are handicapped. If you tell me more about the airlines you are flying I can help you more with connection instructions.

Thank you. I fly from Muninch on Lufthansa and arrive into Newark around 6 30 pm. I have exactly an hour and a half to catch my flight to montreal on air canada.

OK, so you will arrive in Terminal B, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then take the AirTrain to Terminal A, get your Air Canada boarding pass if you don't already have it, then go through security and to your departure gate.

  • NJ Transit fare from New York Penn Station and the NWA Airport Train

Hello, i am about to start working at Terminal B at Newark Airport and i have to temporally commute from NY Penn Station to Newark Terminal B , I am planning to pay the monthly fare US$193.00 with the NJ transit train, my question is: do i need to pay additional for the airtrain or it is already included?, i dont understand :( , Thank You.

According to this - Only monthly passes purchased with the Newark International Airport Station as the origin or destination will allow passage through the fare gate. If your monthly pass is for a destination other than the airport, you will be required to pay an access fee to pass through the station. See the Station Information section for ticket purchase locations. http://www.njtransit.com/rg/rg_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=AirportConnectionsTo

  • Terminal B to Terminal C

Hi all! I am flying into EWR from Vienna and my flight arrives at terminal B. I have 1h50 mins layover to catch a flight to Cleveland from terminal C. I am an European citizen. do I have to claim my baggage at EWR? Or just claim them at CLE? Bought my thickets together from orbitz.com

The reservation was made with United but the international flight is operated by Austrian Airlines. The CLE flight is operated by United.

Yes, you will arrive in Terminal B, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. Then look at the flight monitors, your flight to Cleveland may depart from Terminal A or C. Take the AirTrain to the correct terminal, then go through security and to your gate. You have enough time but not much to spare.

  • connection- do I need to clear security?

I am flying on Air Canada from Montreal (which has US Immigration preclearance) to Newark, arriving at Terminal A. I then fly with United (flight UA1242) to Fort Lauderdale. Do I need to clear security? What is the fastest way to change terminals?

United does operate a shuttle bus inside security between Terminal A and C. However, it leaves from a different pier of Terminal A than the one you will arrive in on Air Canada. So the best route is to take the AirTrain, which will require you go through security when you reach Terminal C.

Hi, It seems many people asked similar questions but please answer mine as well. I made my ticket online on one itinerary. I'm arriving with Lufthansa from Brussels to EWR. Later in the evening I'm taking Air Canada flight from EWR to Toronto. I want to make sure to claim my bags in EWR and not have it go straight to Toronto. Thank you!

First of all Lufthansa does not fly nonstop from Brussels to Newark. If you are flying nonstop, your flight will be on United. Secondly, yes, in Newark you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go to your departure terminal via the Airtrain and go through security. You will arrive in Terminal B or C and depart from Terminal A.

  • Transfer - need to go through security again?

I have a flight from Dublin to Minneapolis with a layover in Newark. Dublin airport has US customs preclearance (go through US customs in Dublin so you land in the US as a domestic flight). I am wondering if I will need to go through security again when transferring in Newark. Both my flights are with United Airlines. I am specifically wondering for the liquid limit, as I plan to buy my father some Guinness in the Dublin airport duty-free shops, for a Christmas present, and would hate to need to discard it in Newark airport.

Yes, the Dublin flight arrives in Terminal C and your flight will depart from C or A. United runs a shuttle bus inside security if your flight to MSP departs from Terminal A.

Sorry, bit confused, because you started your reply with "yes" but then seem like you are saying I would not need to. Do you mean that no, I will not need to go through security again? Many thanks for your knowledgable answer though.

Sorry that was confusing. The "Yes" meant you were correct. You will not have to go through security in Newark as long as you take the shuttle bus to Terminal A (if you end up needing to go there).

Hi, I am flying into Newark with a 1 hour 40 minutes connection time from Belfast. A few questions, will I need to claim baggage in EWR or will this travel on to Orlando? Is this enough time to make the connection? we have two small kids with us. What is the normal procedure that will be required of us.

You will arrive in terminal b or c, go through us immigration, claim your bags, go throu us customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. Then go to the security checkpoint in terminal c where your flight to Orlando will depart.

  • air train or bus

We have a short turnaround between international flights and domestic connections.... your advice is inconsistent air train or shuttle bus to avoid security . customs and immigration is a evil necessary evil but checked once and a tight timeline.... so train or bus???

I think I've been pretty consistent - if you're coming in from an international flight and already outside the secure area when you clear customs, the Airtrain is fastest. If you're coming off a domestic flight and therefore in the secure area, the bus is fastest.

Sorry If it was a little off hand but you have just proved to me that tha staff at Manchester do not know what they are on about. W R O N G on all accounts so doing my own research. DoHLS staff are not known for their helpfulness......
