Dad's Travel from P.R.Mar 19, 201211My 80 year old Dad Is coming from Puerto Rico April 25,2012 United #1162 looks like he lands in Terminal C and has 1 hour 38 minutes to get to Terminal B Alaska #11 to Seattle. Returning he has 45 minutes to get from Terminal A United #819 to Terminal C United #1071 to Aguadilla P.R. on May 6. What does he need to do?Vikiposted on Sun, Mar 181. Your dad has to make sure at check-in in P.R. to have his bags tagged with all three airport codes. He will have to take the Airtrain from Terminal C on upper level's center, post-security, to Terminal A arriving there close to gateway A2. The A gates are divided into three gate areas: A10-18, A20-28 and A30-39. He could also take The Shuttle bus from Terminal C to Terminal A stops at gateway C1, near gate C71, and from A to C at the gateway A2, near gate A28. In any case he will have enough time for transfer. If he needs assistance, he needs to contact his airline.mofeb12posted on Mon, Mar 191 person likes this post [ Like ]

ewr terminalMar 18, 201210I am arriving on flight UA5152 from Halifax and departing on flight UA1040. I assume I will have to get from TA to TC. What is the best way to do this and do I have to go through security again?pcfposted on Sun, Mar 181. Unless Halifax has U.S. customs clearance, at EWR you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). That takes about 35-45 mins. Look at your ticket (and on arrival at EWR at the overhead screens) for your arrivals/ departure terminal and gate. Continental & United have officially merged a week ago - Terminal C was the exclusive Continental terminal with its own customs facilities, and Terminal B is the terminal for all international flights, other than Continental. Terminal A was listedd for United, United Express & Continental Express and affiliates of Continental. (TA gates are A1-39; TB gates B1-68; TC gates C70-130.) The Airtrain serves all 3 terminals - at TA close to gateway A2, at TB close toB2; at TC on upper level's center, post-security.sumar12posted on Sun, Mar 18

Air Train vs. Bus between Terminals A+CMar 17, 201211I have two connections to make at EWR, Terminal C to A, and then on another day C to A. There seems to be two options for moving between these terminals: 1. Air Train - this DOES require leaving security at one terminal, and re-entering through security at the next terminal. 2. Shuttle Bus - this DOES NOT require going through security again. Am I correct?haw12posted on Fri, Mar 16You have two options to connect to another terminal: Use the Airtrain which serves all 3 terminals , or use the shuttle bus between Terminals C & A: 1. Airtrain stations are at Terminals A & B on Concourse level, post-security: At Terminal A close to gateway A2; at Terminal B close to gateway B2; at Terminal C the station is on Upper Level's center, at post-security. The AirTrain runs 24/7 between terminals, parking lots & rental car complex. 2. The Shuttle bus from Terminal C to Terminal A stops at gateway C1, near gate C71, and from A to C at the gateway A2, near gate A28.samar12posted on Sat, Mar 171 person likes this post [ Like ]

Layover, Change Terminals, Secuity AgainMar 16, 201210Hello: I arrive at EWR in late May on UA4416 Flight operated by EXPRESSJET AIRLINES (i.e. UNITED EXPRESS) from GSO at 11:30 AM, and depart EWR at 12:35PM for HNL on UA15. Which Terminal/Gate do I arrive and depart at, and if different terminals do I have enough time, how do I transfer between terminals, and do I need to go through security again?crsmposted on Thu, Mar 151. United & United Express use Terminal A which has three gate areas: area A1 with gates A10-18, A2 gates A20-28 and A3 gates A30-39. You simply walk to your connecting gate. (Your ticket should indicate gate number - if not, on arrival at EWR, look at overhead screens to find your connecting gate number.frmar12posted on Fri, Mar 16

United ConnectionMar 13, 201211I am flying from AUS to PWM with a connection at EWR. I land at Terminal A and Depart at Terminal C with only 41 minutes between...will I make it and will my bags make it?jfposted on Tue, Mar 131 person likes this post [ Like ]1. When checking in at Austin Bergstrom Airport, ask if your airline will transfer your bags at EWR to your Maine flight at PWM - your bags need to have all 3 airport codes on their tags. (If your first airline does not transfer your bags, you need to pick them up at EWR's Terminal A exit the terminal and take the shuttle bus to Terminal C, where you have to check in your bag again and go through security check before proceeding to your gate. If your airline will forward your bags, you can take the Airtrain (close to gateway A) to Terminal C, where it stops on the upper level's center, also post-security (no need for going through security check. 41 mins would be enough if bags are being transferred.tumar12posted on Tue, Mar 13

Shuttle bus connectionMar 10, 201210I am going to flight from Detroit to Paris and have a connection in Newark. I will arrive in terminal A1 and next flight is in TC. I plan to take the shuttle bus (avoiding security in TC), however since the bus leaves from A2, do I have to go through security between A1 and A2 ? thanksRduposted on Fri, Mar 9You arrive at EWR at Terminal A, gate A1. use the Airtrain whose station at TA is on the concouse level, post-security; it will arrive at Terminal C on the upper level's center, again at post-security. Note that Terminal C has three gate areas: gate area C1 arranged in a Y-shape with gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130. Follow signs. No need to go through security again.samar12posted on Sat, Mar 10

Airtran -pre or post securityMar 9, 201220I have been given conflicting info on the Airtran at EWR. I have been told that the entrances to the Airtrain in Terminals A,B & C are pre-security. I have also been told that the entrances are post security by the gates. Which is it? I cannot find a detailed map of the Airtran system that shows me where the exact entrances are.chrisebersposted on Wed, Mar 7Airtrain stations at EWR are located at: Terminals A & B on Concourse level, post-security: At Terminal A close to gateway A2; at Terminal B close to gateway B2; at Terminal C the station is on Upper Level's center, at post-security.thmar12posted on Thu, Mar 8On continental website : http://pss.united.com/web/en-US/content/travel/airport/maps/ewr.aspx This shows that the airtrain is in the pre-security area no ? (in the legend : security clearance required) whereas the shuttle bus between TA and TC is post-security. Not easy to understand for people connecting in newark for the first time...Rduposted on Fri, Mar 9

Travel route and timeFeb 18, 201211On the 21st of March I will be coming to EWR from the UK and arriving on a United flight in to Terminal B then leaving on another united flight at Terminal A towards Columbus, Ohio. I arrive at 13.05 and depart at 14.45. Will I need to go through security again, collect my baggage, change terminals and check it back in etc? Will I have enough time to do this?? Any help is appreciated, thanks!Tanposted on Fri, Feb 17All international arrivals in the U.S. need to to through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in their bags before proceeding to the next flight. Count on 30-45 mins for this procedure. Thereafter take the Airtrain, which is located close to gateway B2 to Terminal A where it arrives close to gateway A2. It will take only minutes. Terminal A has 3 gateways: A1 - gates A10-18; A2 - gates A20-28; A3 - gates A30-39. Your ticket should indicate your departing gate number. You have enough time for your transfer.safeb12posted on Sat, Feb 181 person likes this post [ Like ]

Do I have to re-enter security?Feb 16, 201212Hello. Outgoing, I will be arriving at Terminal C1 and connecting to C3 with a very short layover. Are these gateways connected or will I have to leave C1 and re-enter security at C3? Incoming, I will be arriving at Terminal B and connecting to Terminal C. Will I have to re-enter security at Terminal C or can the post-security shuttle bus bypass it? Thank you!LMCposted on Wed, Feb 151 person likes this post [ Like ]1. Terminal C is Continental's exclusive terminal - it has three gate areas: Gate area C1 is arranged in a Y-shape with gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130. You need to look at your ticket to e which gate you arrive/depart from (also on arrival watch the overhead screen for your connecting flight gate. Presuming you use Continental for arrivals & departures, you need not change terminals. As you state that your return is in Terminal B it must be by another airline. You need on arrival go through passport control, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance, and re-check in your bags (a 30-45 min. process) before continuing on to Terminal C, which is connected by AirTrain - just follow signs.PilotJoeposted on Thu, Feb 161 person likes this post [ Like ]

Can you walk from P3 to Terminal AFeb 12, 201201Departing from Terminal A....returning on flight to Terminal C. Parking car in reserved lot in P3 just off of Terminal C. Need to get back to A for flight. Sounds like the Airtran makes you go through security which is not an option. Can you walk from this parking garage over to Terminal A?chrisebersposted on Sun, Feb 121 person likes this post [ Like ]
