Switching TerminalsFeb 6, 201221Hi, I am arriving into Newark from Edinburgh with Continental in June. Scheduled time of international arrival is 12:05 and I have to catch a connecting flight to Norfolk VA departing at 15:05. is 3 hours enough and which terminals am I likely to be arriving at and leaving from. Thanks.mhbposted on Thu, Jan 191 person likes this post [ Like ]1. EWR has 3 terminals. 2. As an international arrival in the U.S., you will be arriving at Continental's Terminal C, where you will need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs control and re-check-in your bags - count on 45 mins for this. 3. Make sure at EDI when checking in bags that Continental will forward your bags at EWR to your connecting flight (if continuing on another airline). Your bags need to be tagged for stopover and end destination. 4. If you also use Continental for your next flight, you just walk over to the connecting gate: Terminal C has three gate areas: C1 with gates C70-99; C2 with gates C101A-115A-B; C3 with gates C12-130. 5. If your connecting flight is with another airline, you need to take the Airtrain, which runs from the upper level's center, post-security, to Terminal A's concourse level, (TA also has three gate areas and total gates A10-39). Travel time - 15 mins. You have plenty of time to eat or shop.1039posted on Thu, Jan 19

short layoverJan 18, 201210Hi. I am coming into Newark on United operated by Continental on a Flight from San Juan, PR (SJU). I have a connecting flight in Newark on United operated by Continental to Las Vegas, NV (LAS). I have 31 minutes to change flights. Are the gates for these flights close to each other at the same terminal?AAGposted on Wed, Jan 18Continental is in Terminal C - you will not have to change terminals. TC has three gate areas - C1 with gates C70-99; C2 with gates C101A-115A-B and C3 with gates C12-130. Look at your ticket for departing gate number. On arrival, scan the overhead screens for your next flight & then follow signs to your connecting gate. As C gates are long, you really need to hurry.1039posted on Wed, Jan 18

do have the time?Jan 18, 201210i'm flight Montreal-EWR-munich. In EWR, (with "United" and "Lufthansa")I have one hour for change flight.... It' s realy???? (sorry for my English). Thank's.GOposted on Tue, Jan 17I understand you fully: 1. Make sure you go through the U.S. customs clearance at Montreal - saving time on arrival at EWR! Also check to make sure that United is transferring your bags to Lufthansa - not all airlines do! - bags need to be tagged for EWR & MUC. 2. Terminal A is your United arrival and Terminal B your departure terminal. Use the Airtrain between the 2 terminals - station is on concourse level, post security - and takes minutes.HH39posted on Wed, Jan 18

Jan 17, 201210Hi, I come from Raleigh to Newark and then I will take the plane to Monaco. Will I have to change terminals?Idaposted on Mon, Jan 16That depends on your airlines (look at your ticket): TA, TB & TC - arranged in a semi-circle. All three terminals have each four levels (their Concourse level has 3 gateways - gateways - A-1, A-2, A3; B-1, B-2, B3; and C-1, C-2, C-3). Terminal A houses United; Terminal B is mainly for Delta; Terminal C houses Continental.1039posted on Tue, Jan 17

International TravelJan 16, 201200I'm flying into Newark from Manchester UK next wednesday on Continental and then I need to make a connecting flight to Chicago within two ours. I will have all carry on luggage. From what I've read we will probably come in on Terminal C and then have to clear customs. Does anyone know if Continental connecting flights would leave out of Terminal C? Also, is it easy to find your connecting flights once you've clear customs?Sueposted on Mon, Jan 16

international travelFeb 3, 201223I am arriving in EWR on Continental, from HEathrow and need to change terminals to a continental flight to Fort Myers. Is two hours enough time?what is best way to change terminals?anitaposted on Sun, Jan 153 people like this post [ Like ]You arrive and depart from Terminal C. Continental passengers arriving from overseas and connecting to another domestic Continental flight will not need to switch terminals. HOWEVER, all international arrivals need to to through customs clearance & re-check-in their bags before proceeding to the next flight - a 30-45 mins procedure. - You have plenty of time.1039posted on Mon, Jan 16

NEWARK AIRPORT RAILROAD STATIONJan 11, 201210Which Terminal is the NEWARK AIRPORT RAILROAD STATION as I need to catch the Train 3882 toward NEW YORK PENN STATION.EWR Railposted on Tue, Jan 101. The AirTrain is free within the Airport and also connects passengers to Newark, where you can connect via Path train Penn Station. The Newark Liberty Train station is a 7-minute ride to/from Terminal C. Tickets for the Airtrain are available at AirTrain Stations of each terminal. Travel time to NY Penn Station 30 mins. 2. Alternatively, you can also use the Airport Express Shuttles to Manhattan, running every 15-30 minutes from the Arrivals Level bus stops outside all three passenger terminals. 3. Olympic Bus service to Manhattan is available to downtown and midtown; the bus to midtown makes its first stop at the Bus Terminal on 42d Street/8th Avenue and continues on to the Grand Central Station.PilotJoeposted on Wed, Jan 11

Only 1 hour layover international flightJan 9, 201210Hi I am arriwing EWR from Ottawa Intl 4:30 pm in three days in terminal A. My connection to Copenhagen (Denmark) is from terminal C exactly 1 hour later. How can I reaach this and what shall I do?MBKposted on Sun, Jan 8Make sure you go through Ottawa's U.S. Customs Clearance, so you won't have to do that on arrival at EWR. Also when checking in your bags there find out if your airline to EWR forwards your baggage to the Continental/United Terminal C - not all airlines do - in which case you need to take your bag along and recheck it in at TC. 2. Take the free Airtrain, arriving at TA on the Concourse level and at Terminal C on the Upper Level's center - both at post-security. You have enough time.1039posted on Mon, Jan 9

Jan 5, 201210Which terminal will Lufthansa from Phoenix arrive? Thank you.japosted on Thu, Jan 5Most likely at Terminal B (all international flights) if it is on its way to Europe. Find out which gate it arrives at and you will know which Terminal to go to: TB has gate areas B1 through B3 and gates B40-68. TA also has 3 gate areas with gates A1-28; (TC is only for Continental flights).MUCposted on Thu, Jan 5

connection timeDec 25, 201130I need to make a connection from international (from Munich with Lufthansa) to domestic (Louisville, KY) in EWR with a 2 hour layover. I arrive into EWR at 6.30pm, and I believe I have to go through immigration, take baggage, clear customs, re-check baggage, hop on an AirTran (from B to A, I believe), and clear security. Can I do this in only 2h?Jazzyposted on Sun, Dec 25You did your homework! Count on about 45 mins to 1 hr for international arrivals procedure at this time of the year, just to be sure. International flights arrive at Terminal B. Look at your ticket to see which gate you depart from (i.e. B40, C75) The Airtrain station at Terminals A & B are on the Concourse level, at post-security. You will be re-checking in your bag at pre-security and need to go through security check again for Airtrain, which arrives at the following Terminals & their gates: TA close to gateway A1; TC at upper level's center. Terminal C is strictly for Continental Airways with three gateways C1 has gates C70-99; C2 has gates C101A-115A-B; and C3 has gates C12-130. Either way, you have plenty of time.HH39posted on Sun, Dec 25Thank you so much for this detailed reply. I should have mentioned that my flight will be in mid-August 2012. I just bought it today and thought the connection time might be too tight. I am also a green card holder so immigration might take longer for me than for US-citizens. Do you think any of these two factors might affect my ability to make the connection? Also, does Newark implement the "express connection" program for passengers on delayed flights likely to miss their connections?Jazzyposted on Sun, Dec 25Thank you so much for this detailed reply. Connecting time 1:01 hrDec 21, 201110Hi i am arriving EWR from PIT at 7:36 PM from continental domestic Air line 4911 and i have connecting international flight to DEL at 8:37PM of Continental 0082 will i able to make it?Pankajposted on Wed, Dec 211. Delta is in Terminal B, while Continental is in Terminal C. You catch the Airtrain close to gateway B2, which takes you to the upper level's center, post-security of Terminal C - the Airtrain makes its continuous rounds and takes only minutes between terminals. On arrival at Terminal C: gate area has three gate areas: C1 (Y-shaped) gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130. Look at your ticket to see which gate you depart from; also check overhead screens for your departure flight.1039posted on Wed, Dec 21

Short LayoverDec 18, 201120We are arriving from Halifax, NS (US Pre clearance) at 7:45am on United 5142 (operated by Continental). We need to get to United 1193 at 9:15 am (operated by Continental Airlines) to go to Orlando. Is this possible and do we switch Terminals? Please help...we are traveling with children!Orlandoposted on Sat, Dec 17You'll stay in the same terminal, so won't be an issue.GDMposted on Sun, Dec 18Most likely you will arrive & depart from Terminal C, the exclusive Continental terminal. It is possible that your flight to Orlando departs from Terminal A. Look at your ticket for your gate number, which should precede A or C (i.e., gate A10, gate 70. The C gates are arranged by three areas: (a) area C1 is a Y-shaped concourse with gates C7-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130. Should you need to transfer to another terminal, use the frequent Airtrain on TC's upper level center, post-security, which arrives at Terminal A close to gateway A2.HH39posted on Sun, Dec 18

TerminalDec 17, 201111I'm stuck in Munich as I missed my connecting flight to Newark Liberty due to bad weather. We now leave tomorrow and arrive at 12.40pm so wanted to know which terminal we arrive at. Many thanks.MAEposted on Fri, Dec 161. As an international arrivals you need to first go through passport control, pick up your bags, and go through customs clearance. Your arrival terminal depends on the airline you use. EWR has Terminals TA, TB & TC with corresponding gates; Terminal A houses United, Terminal B is mainly for Delta and Terminal C is for Continental airlines. Look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive at (i.e., A1-, C, B-3).1039posted on Sat, Dec 171 person likes this post [ Like ]
