I travel form adam to newark liberty and I arrived in Terminal B and I have to go to A for the next flight newark to atlanta hart . what i have to do , and can I re check in in the same terminal if I arrived so in B, and after that I can take the airtrain to terminal A correct ? already thnx for you help!!

Where's "Adam"? If your tickets were bought on the same reservation and your bags are checked though to Atlanta you can re-check your bags in B, otherwise you will have to bring them to A. Yes, the best way for you to go between terminals will be the AirTrain.

Thnx zap , i m sorry adam is Netherlands . so if i arrived i have to re-check-in Always my bays right ? and which route do I have to walk ,(which signs I have to follow) first to the immigration then to the baggaue claim and then re check in ? its my first flight to usa :)

The baggage re-check will be right after you exit customs. The signs will just be for Terminal A. What airlines are your flight on? United flights from Amsterdam will arrive in C and United flights to Atlanta can depart from C or A. Delta flights from Amsterdam arrive in B and Delta flights to Atlanta depart from B.

I fly whit both flight whit united airlines , but on my information paper it says that I arrived on Newark lib intl on terminal B ?? and Depart from terminal A

    zap these are the flight s UA965 , UA4141

That information is wrong or outdated. You will likely arrive in C and depart from C or A (United flights from Newark to Atlanta can use both).

oke clear strange , no change to find out now where I depart from that to early for It I think . ? or can I check it somewhere ? I have 3 hours to do that is that enough ?

Yes, 3 hours should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will know the exact gates on the day of your flight. 4141 will probably depart from A (pretty much all Embraer E145 flights use A).

  • From terminal C to terminal B in 70 minutes?

I'm coming from Denver at terminal C 16.30 and leaving for Copenhagen at teminal B 17:40. Is that possible?

If your first flight is on-time and your bags are checked through to Copenhagen, yes, it's possible. United runs a shuttle that connects Terminals C and B on the secure side. http://www.united.com/web/en-us/content/travel/airport/maps/ewr.aspx

  • Terminal C shuttle bus

At the Terminal C, after going through customs and re-check-in luggage, is it still in the post-security area? Is the shuttle bus to Terminal A still available?

No, you are not in the secure area. Because of that it's usually faster to take the Airtrain and go through security in Terminal A rather than going through terminal C and taking the shuttle bus.

Landing in Newark terminal a from Mumbai at5:15am thn connecting flight in hour 30 min to Toronto from terminal c. How do I get to teminal c? Please help

The AirTrain connects all terminals outside security.

I'm using both flight on united airlines. Can I use the bus ? Or if I use the AirTran is it free? And will I need to pick up my luggage?

The United Airlines flight from Mumbai does not arrive in Terminal A. It arrives in Terminal C. If you're on that flight you won't have to change terminals.

  • Toronto to Newark to Hong Kong - clear security again?

Hi there, I will be traveling on a flight leaving Toronto to Newark, and then a connecting flight from Newark to Hong Kong - will I have to clear security again? Also, it looks like we only have about 1h20mins or so to connect, is that enough time? Thanks so much!

    What airlines are you flying?

I think it will be United Airlines. I have the same question with KL, but I want to go back in Jan. I am not sure if it will delay from YYZ to EWR since I only have an hour layover at EWR. Does anyone know the possibly of being delayed? And how is the flight from EWR to HKG (if anyone has traveled a long flight (Boeing 777) with UA). Thanks!

An hour is pretty tight and EWR is very delay prone. You may have to take a shuttle but sfrom Terminal A to Terminal C upon arrival to EWR. However, by taking the shuttle bus you will avoid having to go through security again. The 777's that United uses on EWR-HKG are fairly new and nice, but nothing special - they do have entertainment screens in every seat and adequate food/drink service.

I'll be flying United. Thanks for the tip on the shuttle!

Traveling Cleveland to Newark and then Newark to Berlin. Will I need to go through security again? Both flights are on United

No, you will not. If your flight from Cleveland arrives in Terminal A, United has a shuttle bus that runs on the secure side from A to C. Your flight to Berlin will depart from C. However, if you're on the Cleveland-Newark flight that arrives in Newark around 4:40 PM, that flight arrives in C as well.

I am Arriving tomorrow at terminal c and I am leaving on a flight out of terminal A. What is the fastest way to get there and so I have Togo back thru security. If I have to go back they security, do they have TSA precheck?

If you are flying United on one or both of your flights then United operates a shuttle on the secure side, therefore you won't have to go through security again.

Thx , what gate do I pick the shuttle up at?

    See United's map - http://www.united.com/web/en-us/content/travel/airport/maps/ewr.aspx

  • Enough time between Terminal B and C?
    Aug 16, 2013

Arriving in terminal B at 16.05 (LH 408) and transferring to Terminal C for a connecting flight to Ft Lauderdale at 18.30 (UA 1730 -LH7748). Will there be enough time for passport check, customs and transfer? And where do we drop the bags -do we bring them to Terminal C by the train or is there some other droppoint?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will be able to re-check your bags after clearing customs in Terminal B.

I am flying from logan to newark and then from newark to milwaukee i need to change from terminal c to terminal A is it faster to take the airtrain and if so will i have to go through TSA again at terminal A or does airtrain drop you off after secuirty. is there another way to go or is this the fastest

United runs a shuttle bus that runs inside security. The AirTrain runs outside security - http://www.united.com/web/en-us/content/travel/airport/maps/ewr.aspx

  • Newark - Connection from Terminal A to C, arriving from Canada
    Aug 15, 2013

I have a UA flight from Montreal, Canada arriving at terminal A and connection to Lisbon from terminal C Air Canada, have only an hour 20min. Do I have to do customs and get my luggage then do security check? Is there any way to avoid security check? what is the fastest way to go from A to C? Thanks

Air Canada does not fly from Newark to Lisbon, so that flight will be on United too. No, you will not have to pick up your baggage in Newark as you will preclear US Immigration in Montreal. If you do have to change terminals (you may not), United runs a shuttle bus that operates on the secure side so you won't have to go through security.

Thanks a lot. Does the shuttle go from a specific gate? where can I find this information?

United's map has some decent info on the shuttle - http://www.united.com/web/en-us/content/travel/airport/maps/ewr.aspx

Also, if you are on the 5:55 PM flight to Lisbon, that is operated by TAP and will leave from Terminal B. If you tell me what exact flights you're on I can help you find more precisely in the airport you will arrive/depart.

arriving by UA 4635 terminal A, leaving by AC 2496 terminal C

Hmm, I don't show AC2496 (which is actually United 64) leaving until 8:10 PM, which means you have about 2.5 hours for your connection.

how far is international connection from terminal C at newark airport

Terminal C is exclusively used by United Airlines, for both domestic & international flights, but also uses some domestic flights at Terminal A, which serves all domestic flights. (Terminal B is for international flights, other than United Airlines). A shuttle bus runs gate-to-gate from A to C, while the Airtrain runs between all three terminals, but at the pre-security area, meaning you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate.

  • United Shuttle Terminal A to B, how late does this operate?

The United bus/shuttle going from Terminal A to B, how late does this operate?

United's shuttle runs according to flight schedule.

Will be arriving on a United DAY-EWR flight in Terminal A, and connecting to a SAS EWR-CPH in Terminal B3. United seems to have a bus/shuttle from A to B, then on to C. Using the United bus/shuttle from A to B, how long does this take? Also, if the bus was not operating, how long would it take to get from Terminal A to B using the AirTrain and going through security at B3? Will be arriving EWR Terminal A at 9:15 PM, and the SAS flight to CPH departs at 11 PM. I have a 1 hr. 45 min. connection time, but the DAY-EWR flight with United is consistrenly late and/or cancelled. Wanting to know how long it takes to get from A to B, either by the United bus/shuttle and using the AirTran and going through security at B3. Thanks.

The shuttle should still be running then. If you take the airtrain, there security lines should be very short that late. Either way I'd say the connection will take about 30 minutes. If it looks like your DAY-EWR flight is going to be delayed, enquire with United either at their counter or over the phone about being rebooked to connect in ORD.

  • Flying into EWR from IAD and then going to DEL

Do I need to do immigration again or will I be checked in at IAD? What about baggage? Will that be cheked in all the way? IAD to EWR is ETA 6:20 PM in TC and EWR to DEL is 8:20 PM in TC United. Will that be enough time?

Both flights are domestic flights - therefore no immigration procedure necessary. Your arrival is at Terminal B (Delta) and your departure is in Terminal C (United). If both flights are booked on one ticket, bags will be transferred - if not, you need to claim them and re-check-them in with United. Either way, you need to take the Airtrain to Terminal C, and go through security check before proceedi to your departing gate.

Disregard what Sujul said about "Delta" and bags not being transfered. It appears both of your flighs are on United as Delta does not fly from IAD to EWR. 2 Hours is plenty of time. United runs a secure side shuttle if you need to change terminals.

  • Connection time from terminal C to terminal A

We're flying with United from Hamilton (Bermuda) to Montreal (Canada), with a 1h15 layover in Newark. We land in Terminal C and will be departing from Terminal A. Will we have to go through customs and get our luggage? Is this enough time? Thank you!

I forgot to mention that we will be arriving at Terminal C a saturday at 5h11 pm and we will be departing from Terminal A at 6h29 pm. Thanks!

Yes you need, on arrival at Newark Airport, go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in bags where indicated. Thereafter you will need to take the AirTrain to Terminal A (2 stops) where you arrive in the pre-security area and need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. TA has Gate Area A1 (gates A10-18); Gate Area A2 (gates A20-28); and Gate Area A3 (gates A30-39). This is high season & your time may be extremely tight.

mojul, again, is incorrect. Flights from Bermuda preclear immigration and customs in Bermuda. You just have to go between your gates as your arrival from Bermuda will just be like a domestic flight. United runs a secure-side shuttle between terminals if you have to transfer between them.

After going through customs and re-check-in luggage, is it still in the post-security area? Is the shuttle bus still available?
