Our flight artrtives at terminal B from paris and we have to get to a united flight to seattle. How long willthis take to get through customs and check in at United

Immigration will take about an hour or so, maybe 90 mins, then you go upstairs and take the Airtrain over to Terminal C. Check in and security there will probably take about a half hour, as it will probably be pretty busy at that time.

I am arriving United Airlines and Departing United airlines. ( only have 23 minutes) will I arrive at the same terminal. will I be able to make it?

can i make the 23 minutes from gate to gate at EWR airport?

Yes, it's doable, but you'll have to run and hope that your first flight is on-time or early.

Our flight arrives in Terminal A 25 and we have to go to C82, whats the best way to get there with only 40 min. layover

On arrival at EWR, at TA, the shuttle bus to TC stops near gate A28 and arrives at TC at gateway 1, near gate C71. No security check needed. You should be able to make it in time.

I fly from Tokyo to Newark then connect to Albany, NY. Will my baggage be checked through to Albany, or will I, a U.S. citizen, have to pick up my baggage to go through customs and then recheck it for the Newark to Albany flight?

You will have to claim your baggage in immigration, go through customs, and then re-check it with United once you exit customs at the re-check desk.

Is there a timetable/frequency for the shuttles that go between Terminal A to Terminal C? I have 55 minutes to make gate connection. (A24 to C84). Unfortunately, my arriving flight doesn't have best ontime record.

We're flying with United from Ottawa to Belize City, with a 53 minute layover in Newark. I think (but am not sure) that we land in Terminal A and depart Terminal C. We clear customs in Ottawa, and I think (but again don't know for sure) that our bags are checked through to Belize. Assuming the Ottawa-Newark leg is on time, is that enough time to make the connecting flight?

Forgot to mention our flight times: Leave YOW at 6:02am, arrive EWR 7:41 AM. Leave EWR at 8:34 am

Yes, that should be enough time, you can take the A to C shuttle bus and not have to go through security again in EWR. Your bags will be checked straight through to BZE after you go through immigration preclearance in YOW.

Hi, flying on United SAN-EWR landing at Term. C. I have 65 minutes to get to Term. B for an SAS flight to CPH. Can I take the transfer shuttle and avoid going through security again? Or do I take the train? Who operates the bus?

The airside shuttle does not go to Terminal B - you will have to take the Airtrain and go through security again. Taking the airtrain should just take 10-15 minutes, then whatever time it takes you to go through security.

If one takes the shuttle bus from Terminal A to C to get to a connecting flight will one have to go through security? What is the travel time for this?

The shuttle bus runs on the secure side of the airport, so you don't have to go through security again.

A friend and I arrive from Syracuse at 11:28 am on United Express (which tends to be in terminal A) and have to connect to United flight Phoenix, AZ that departs at 12:09pm. United confirmed its a valid connection. What is the fastest and easiest way to get from Terminal A to C?

There's a shuttle bus between A and C that runs on the secure side, but taking it can still take 15-20 minutes. You will have to hope that your first flight is on time to have any hope of making this connection. At least there are flights later in the day and/or other options to re-book you to phoenix if you miss your connection.

I don't understand why they would schedule a flight so close together. But thank you for your help.

when taking the airtrain between terminals, you have to go through security again, correct? But if you take the shuttle bus does that mean you don't have to go through security again? Which is faster overall?

That is correct. If you are connecting from A to C or vice-versa, it is probably faster to use the shuttle.

I have a flight this summer from Denver to Newark then from Newark to Madrid, both through United Airlines. I arrive at Newark at 6:30PM and my flight to Madrid leaves there at 8:20PM. That leaves me 1 hour and 50 minutes. I don't know which terminals I will be arriving at or leaving from. Will they be the same? Will I need to do anything with baggage or security again even though I will have already done it in Denver? I haven't flown often and don't know the airport at all. I am really scared to miss my flight! Any advice would be appreciated!

Both flights will likely be in Terminal C so you won't have to do anything except go to the gate for your Madrid flight. You won't have to do anything with security or with your baggage

    It's near A28

  • Time for connection B-C a lot of baggage

Hi, How long should take connection from B to C. Arriving from Europe with a lot of baggage and infant on hands Wednesday 2pm April. Thanks

If using different airlines, make sure your first airline will transfer your bags to the second one. As an international arrival, you will need to go through passport check, pick up bags (use the baggage carts there) and go through customs clearance. If airline transfers your bags, simply re-check them in where indicated; you have 2 options: Enlist the help of a Skycap in that area to get you to TC, or take your baggage cart and exit the terminal; then take a taxi to TC (an elevated train runs from terminal to terminal in the unsecured area, but you can't take the cart on it).

Hi. I am looking at a flight pairing from Montreal to Newark and then Newark to Fort Meyers on United Airlines. It is on a Wednesday with the layover at around 2pm. I assume that customs clearance will be done in Montreal and baggage checked through to Fort Meyers. Is 52 minutes enough time to change gates? I will be travelling with my 20 month old baby (carrying her in a baby carrier, no gate checked items), of course providing the flights are on time...

Yes, 52 minutes is doable and considering it's at 2 PM, there's probably another flight to Ft. Myers after that if you miss your connection due to delays.

We have a flight from Atlanta to Halifax with a change connection in Newark. We have to get from Terminal C to A in 55 minutes. Does anyone know if we will have to reclaim baggage for customs/inspection; or can we check it thru from ATL?

You will not have to claim baggage in EWR. It will be checked through to Halifax in Atlanta. You will clear immigration in Halifax.

During a 5-hour layover we want to meet with friends who live in the Newark area. Is there a place we can meet for dinner and conversation with poeple who aren't taking flights? Thanks.

Open http://www.ifly.com, then click on EWR Airport Services under QUICK LINKS and choose "Restaurants & Stores", then click on your terminal.
