My son only has 50 minutes to make his connection form Terminal C to Terminal A. He will have a cello with him. Is it better to take the Air Train or the shuttle bus from C to A?
Definitely the shuttle.
I'm flying on 7 August through EWR from MXP to SFO. Arrival at EWR: 14.05 terminal B. Departure for SFO at 16.30 terminal C. Will I have enough time for flight connection? what should I do?
Yes, that is enough time. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, take the AirTrain to Terminal C and go through security.
daughter is arriving in EWR on United into terminal C. She departs for Halifax, CA on terminal A.
Where are the shuttle bus stops in each terminal. Cannot find on map. Also, I understand she will not have to go to security again. Is this correct?
The shuttle bus from C leaves near gate C71 and delivers her right in the middle of the United Express gates in Terminal A.
My kids are coming in with United from Peru connecting to an Air Canada flight. I know they must collect their baggage and take Air Train to another terminal. Can someone please give me specific info regarding where they take their luggage. I'd like to give them specific info, and if 3hr 45min is enough time to make their connecting flight. Thanks so much!
If everything is on the same reservation you can just re-check your bags at the re-check desk right after customs. If it's two separate reservations you have to take the bags on the AirTrain to Terminal A to re-check them with Air Canada.
We are arriving on EI0101 from Dublin in TB and departing on United at TC can we stay in the secure area and use shuttle or do we need to take train and go through security again. On our return we arrive on United to TC and leave on Aer Lingus from TB, again do we need to go through security again. Thank you
You should be able to use the shuttle both ways and stay inside security.
Hello, I am coming in on Air Canada into terminal A and departing on SAS from terminal B. I have about 90 minutes.

What is the quickest way to transfer from terminal A to B? From what I understand I will NOT have to pick up my luggage, but I will have to go through security again? Is that all correct? Is there a way to avoid going outside of security?

Thank you for your help!
You have to take the AirTrain from A to B and go through security again in B.
Hi I am flying from (BOG) to (EWR liberty), have a 1 hour and 32 minute layover before my flight from (EWR liberty) to (DCA national) then another layover for 1 hour and 20 minutes before my flight from (DCA national) to (YOW). My ticket states that they will all need terminal changes. I'm just curious as to how this works with clearing customs if necessary and if that is even enough time to do so. I'm flying United
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will arrive in terminal B or C and depart from Terminal A or C in Newark. If you miss your connection in Newak it may actually be a blessing as United might just rebook you straight to Ottawa.
HI we are coming in with a United round ticket from Cancun and connecting in Newark to EDI....we land at 6.20pm (guessing Terminal B) and looks like EDI flight goes from Terminal C. Do we need to collect bags/go through security.re-check in or will bags go through as a connection like other airlines? First time using United and doing this connection.....also concerned about time....we booked all via travel agent/United so I assume that's enough time? thanks
Yes, you will need to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I have booked flights on United in November. SFO to EWR with 54 minutes to change planes. United uses 2 terminals at EWR so this is unlikely to be enough time to change terminals and go through security. Return trip EDI to EWR then SFO has a 1.5 hour layover to change planes, but will also need to go through customs. Does United offer the possibility of being a passenger 'in transit' so won't have to go through security again each time I change planes? Many thanks for any insight you have

Sorry, neglected to mention this flight is SFO to EWR to EDI and then the return EDI to EWR to SFO. All on United
On the way to Edinburgh, both flights will be in Terminal C. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time. On the return you always have to go through security after clearing US Customs when entering the US. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Hi, flying into EWR from Israel and on to DCA afterwards. I know we clear can customs at EWR but can someone shed some light on the process... we have to collect bags after clearance, is there a special transiting line to recheck bags and for security? Or will we be back in with general departure folks.

I have 3 hour layover and Global Entry so not concerned about time.

Thx!
Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk right after, then go through security and to your departure gate. This assumes that both flights are on United.
