  • 42 minutes?
    Mar 8, 2016
I have a 42 minute connection arriving from Denver and departing to Ottawa. The arrival gate is Terminal C and the departing gate is Terminal A. No chance I'll make it, eh?

It's not impossible but it leaves very little time to spare.

I am traveling from miami to London with a 65 minute connection in EWR, with United Airlines. Is it enough for me to make it to the other flight. It is return trip.

Yes, that should be enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • connecting between terminals--go through security again?

I arrive Terminal A. Can I meet someone at Terminal B without leaving security? This kind of obvious information hard to find on EWR website.

United runs a shuttle bus from the satellite of Terminal A that they use to the satellite of Terminal B used by Lufthansa and SAS. You don't post what airline you are flying so I can't give you a distinct answer beyond that. You could always just meet your friend in the unsecure area of Terminal B (baggage claim or ticketing levels) by taking the Airtrain to Terminal B.

One person arriving Virgin America from LAX, the other Delta from Detroit.

Then no, you will have to meet your friend outside security somewhere.

  • to go from terminal A level 2 to terminal B level 3

I got only 2 hr layover time to go from terminal A level 2 (south-west) to terminal B level 3 (British airways), and I got 3 baggage items and my 2 year toddler boy. I am worry if I can manage that. Please suggest me the best way to manage this. your help will be appreciated. Thank you!

Pack a foldable luggage cart in your checked bags to take everything with you on the airtrain to Terminal B.

Taking a connection flight in EWR. Comming from Brussels terminal B and the next flight to Providence terminal A after 1,5h. Non US citizen. Is it real? Both on United. Luggage should be checked in already in Brussels.

In Terminal B, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to Terminal A and go through security. This is a very difficult connection and depends on everything going perfectly to make it.

Can I taku united shuttle bus to avoid security recheck?

No, after you clear customs and re-check your bags you will be outside the secure area.

Thank you! It is very usefull. One more question - after the customs I will recheck my luggage already in the terminal B, and proceed to the terminal A only with the hand luggage? Is that correct?

My in-laws are coming from on this route BRU-EWR connecting to CLT. They are on wheelchair. Once they clear customs, do they need to take the BAGS and themselves to Terminal A for the connecting flight through an internal shuttle or the airtran and will they have any assistance?

  • Enough time to clear customs? Is there "No Checked Bag" Line?
    Mar 5, 2016
My father is flying United business from St Maartin (SXM) to EWR and then United business first EWR to SFO. He only has 1 hour 50 min. He is premier but no Global Entry. Does EWR have a "NO checked Bags" lane in immigration (as in IAH) that moves faster? Does he have enough time? Thanks!

From what I can tell, EWR does not have OneStop. However, flying business he should have enough time.

Arrive from a flight from Scotland (terminal B) then go onto Orlando from (terminal C). There is a 2 hr turnaround. Have been advised that this is okay but just not sure? Could you please advise. Thanks

It's just about enough time if everything goes smoothly.

  • Connecting flight issue

I have a flight from Hartford to Newark and then a connecting flight to Glasgow Scotland 1.5 hours later. Is that enough time to make the connection in Newark? All are on United.

Yes, that should be enough time if your flight from Hartford is on-time. If you arrive in Terminal A, you can get to Terminal C where you depart by a shuttle that runs inside security.

  • Portland Newark London connection

I'm looking at United flights in April. Portland OR to Newark, arriving at Newark at 7:10 am. The flight to London, also United, leaves at 8:30 am. So one hour, 20 minute connection. Feasible?

Yes, that should be enough time. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal C.

  • Enough transfer time to make a flight to India
    Mar 3, 2016
I'm about to book a flight from Dayton, Oh to Newark, with 1.5 hours time to transfer to a flight to Delhi. Will this be ample time?

That should be enough time if the flight from Dayton is on-time if both flights are on United. You will arrive in Terminal A and depart from Terminal C. United operates a shuttle inside security between A and C.

I arrive on United from Santiago DR and have 1hr to get United flight to Charlotte NC can this be done

Maybe without checked bags if the flight from Santiago arrived early it might be possible. With checked bags, it's completely impossible.

I have spoken to United and they claim my bag will be prescreened in Santiago and sent straight through. I know that has not been the case previously!

No, whoever you talked to at United really doesn't know what the hell they're talking about.

  • Connection time between domestic to international flight
    Mar 4, 2016
Hello, I am planning to flight from EWR to Brussels (BRU) with UNITED and the connectiom time is about 53 mins. Is it realistic? or i wll miss the flight for sure? Thanks.

Where are you flying from? It's certainly realistic. if you arrive in Terminal C it will be not difficult. If you arrive in Terminal A, there is a shuttle to terminal C, but it will make it more difficult.

Im flying from miami to NEWARK then i should wait 53 mins before the next flight to brussels (belgium). The point is if i have to move between the terminals or the flight departure from the same terminal that i arrival from miami? Tnx

Your Miami flight should arrive in Terminal C. You shouldn't have to change terminals.

Ok thanks. Are you sure that the next flight (international flight) will go from Termina C ? (EWR) – (BRU) (Newark to Brussles) with UNITED (999 Flight). thanks again.

Yes, all United mainline departures are from Terminal C.
