I am flying from BHX UK to SFO (San Francisco) via Newark with United, on Sunday. Originally I had less than 1.30 hrs to transfer from Terminal B to C, but I have requested a later flight so as I will have 2.25hrs to check through imigration and transfer to Term C. Will I have to collect bag, even though both flights are United and booked on same ticket and will I have sufficient time? Any tips would be appreciated.
Yes, you will have to claim your bag to take it through US Customs, then immediately re-check it at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to Terminal C and go through security. You should have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Flying United both segments from LAX->EWR and taking a connection EWR-DEL (india). Have only 1hr 15 min in EWR. Will have a checked bag as well. Will 1.15 hrs be enough to clear immigration etc to board Delhi connection in EWR. I think arrival and departure at EWR is at the same terminal C
Yes, that is enough time. There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
On Tues afternoon, Nov. 22nd:

Arriving from Panama (United 1022)
Layover in Newark EWR2h 37m
Departing for Pittsburgh (United 3539)

Is this enough time to get through immigration, customs, etc?
Yes, that should be enough time.
Is this enough time?
Yes, that is enough time.
I will be leaving on a roundtrip flight on United from Columbus, Ohio to Shannon, Ireland with a layover at EWR. There is a 1 hour and 30 minute layover before leaving EWR to Shannon. On the return, there is a 2 hour and 30 minute layover before leaving EWR for Columbus, Ohio. Will these numbers work? I am traveling by myself and, if I do it right, will have no checked baggage.
That should be enough time. Both ways all you have to do in Newark is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you have to go between terminals A and C, then United operates a shuttle bus inside security.
Sweet. Thanks for the info/advice
I a man coming into Newark terminal from Ottawa and have 52 minutes to make connecting flight to West Palm Beach...will I have time to make connecting flight
Yes, that should be enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Ottawa. If you have to change terminals from A to C, United runs a shuttle bus between the two terminals inside security.
I am going to book flights from UK to SYR via EWR with United Airline but there's only 1hr for connection, is it OK? will they be at the same terminal?
No, that's not enough time. In Newark you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, possibly change terminals, and go through security.
Hi. I'm an inexperienced flyer flying from Ronald Reagan to Newark (Terminal A) with United Express to catch a flight to Manchester, England at Terminal C with United Airlines. I have plenty of layover time (4 hours). Do I need to reclaim my luggage at Newark and begin all the checks again or just make my way to Terminal C via a shuttle bus and my luggage will take care of itself?
Any help/advice greatly appreciated.
No, you don't have to do anything with your bags on your way to Manchester. Just take the shuttle bus to C and go to your departure gate.
Thanks very much, greatly appreciated.
Can you please tell me if 2.5 hours is sufficient to transfer from Terminal B to terminal C, also do I have to go through security again on the way to terminal C?
What airline are you arriving on in Terminal B? Where are you flying into Newark from? I can't answer that question without that information.
I am flying from Dublin Ireland with Aer Lingus into Terminal B and then to Dallas with United from terminal C
Which terminal in and which termianl out to miami, will bags go straight through? Thanks
You will both arrive and depart in Terminal C. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
