  • to go from terminal A level 2 to terminal B level 3

I got only 2 hr layover time to go from terminal A level 2 (south-west) to terminal B level 3 (British airways), and I got 3 baggage items and my 2 year toddler boy. I am worry if I can manage that. Please suggest me the best way to manage this. your help will be appreciated. Thank you!

Pack a foldable luggage cart in your checked bags to take everything with you on the airtrain to Terminal B.

Taking a connection flight in EWR. Comming from Brussels terminal B and the next flight to Providence terminal A after 1,5h. Non US citizen. Is it real? Both on United. Luggage should be checked in already in Brussels.

In Terminal B, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to Terminal A and go through security. This is a very difficult connection and depends on everything going perfectly to make it.

Can I taku united shuttle bus to avoid security recheck?

No, after you clear customs and re-check your bags you will be outside the secure area.

Thank you! It is very usefull. One more question - after the customs I will recheck my luggage already in the terminal B, and proceed to the terminal A only with the hand luggage? Is that correct?

My in-laws are coming from on this route BRU-EWR connecting to CLT. They are on wheelchair. Once they clear customs, do they need to take the BAGS and themselves to Terminal A for the connecting flight through an internal shuttle or the airtran and will they have any assistance?

  • Enough time to clear customs? Is there "No Checked Bag" Line?

My father is flying United business from St Maartin (SXM) to EWR and then United business first EWR to SFO. He only has 1 hour 50 min. He is premier but no Global Entry. Does EWR have a "NO checked Bags" lane in immigration (as in IAH) that moves faster? Does he have enough time? Thanks!

From what I can tell, EWR does not have OneStop. However, flying business he should have enough time.

Arrive from Phoenix at 6 am Sunday - leave for San Juan at 7am. Both in Terminal C. Is this enough time?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Arrive from a flight from Scotland (terminal B) then go onto Orlando from (terminal C). There is a 2 hr turnaround. Have been advised that this is okay but just not sure? Could you please advise. Thanks

It's just about enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I have a flight from Hartford to Newark and then a connecting flight to Glasgow Scotland 1.5 hours later. Is that enough time to make the connection in Newark? All are on United.

Yes, that should be enough time if your flight from Hartford is on-time. If you arrive in Terminal A, you can get to Terminal C where you depart by a shuttle that runs inside security.

I'm looking at United flights in April. Portland OR to Newark, arriving at Newark at 7:10 am. The flight to London, also United, leaves at 8:30 am. So one hour, 20 minute connection. Feasible?

Yes, that should be enough time. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal C.

I'm about to book a flight from Dayton, Oh to Newark, with 1.5 hours time to transfer to a flight to Delhi. Will this be ample time?

That should be enough time if the flight from Dayton is on-time if both flights are on United. You will arrive in Terminal A and depart from Terminal C. United operates a shuttle inside security between A and C.

I arrive on United from Santiago DR and have 1hr to get United flight to Charlotte NC can this be done

Maybe without checked bags if the flight from Santiago arrived early it might be possible. With checked bags, it's completely impossible.

I have spoken to United and they claim my bag will be prescreened in Santiago and sent straight through. I know that has not been the case previously!

No, whoever you talked to at United really doesn't know what the hell they're talking about.

  • Connection time between domestic to international flight

Hello, I am planning to flight from EWR to Brussels (BRU) with UNITED and the connectiom time is about 53 mins. Is it realistic? or i wll miss the flight for sure? Thanks.

Where are you flying from? It's certainly realistic. if you arrive in Terminal C it will be not difficult. If you arrive in Terminal A, there is a shuttle to terminal C, but it will make it more difficult.

Im flying from miami to NEWARK then i should wait 53 mins before the next flight to brussels (belgium). The point is if i have to move between the terminals or the flight departure from the same terminal that i arrival from miami? Tnx

Your Miami flight should arrive in Terminal C. You shouldn't have to change terminals.

Ok thanks. Are you sure that the next flight (international flight) will go from Termina C ? (EWR) – (BRU) (Newark to Brussles) with UNITED (999 Flight). thanks again.

Yes, all United mainline departures are from Terminal C.

Please Help me, I am 74 years old and have a connection Flying in UA Business from Barcelona in Newark at Terminal C at 1:50 pm - Departing UA Business from Terminal C at 3:40 to Panama City. Because I have to clear customs and immigration Im not sure 1h50 minutes is going to cut it. Please Advise also if there is a special line in border patrol if im traveling business. maybe get through faster.

There is no special line at border control for business class but you can use the premier access line for security. You Should have enough time. Also, be aware that your flight from Barcelona may arrive in Terminal B - if it does after you clear customs and re-check your bags you will take the AirTrain to Terminal C.

  • EWR to BOS connection

Hi guys, Just a quick one: I arrive into EWR at 05:35 and depart for Boston at 06:35, with a terminal change. Is an hour enough time for a domestic flight transfer at EWR? Thanks

I assume you will be transiting from Terminal A to C? If so United runs a shuttle bus inside security between the terminals and it is just enough time.

Thanks, will I have to repeat security even though it's a domestic flight? And I'll have checked baggage so what will happen with that?

If you take the shuttle bus you don't have to go through security and you don't have to do anything with your checked baggage.

Flying from Belfast to Newark arrive 14.00 connecting to Charlotte SC 15.40. What are the normal procedures, my husband is US citizen, I am UK. Do we need to pick up luggage or can it be booked straight from Belfast to Charlotte?

You will arrive in Terminal B, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to your departure terminal (either A or C), then go through security. You barely have enough time if everything goes perfectly.

I boght a ticket on united.com for August , I'll be arriving in EWR from YOW at 7:31AM for a connecting flight to HNL which leaves at 8:47. Is 59 min enough?

That should be just enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ottawa. However, you will likely arrive in Terminal A and depart from Terminal C. United operates a shuttle bus inside security between A and C. You'll want to use that.

  • Panama to Cincinnati with connecting flight

Hi I´m arriving at 3:45 from Panama to Newark for a connecting flight at 9:00 to Cincinnati, both flights with UA, I dont know the terminals, but to I have to clear customs in EWR and claim my bags? Or can they be checked all the way from panama??

Your bags will be tagged all the way to Cincinnati in Panama, but in Newark you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go to Terminal A where your CVG flight will likely depart, then go through security.

On my way back to Panama, im connecting in EWR again, but with 2 hours and a half, would this be time enough to go through immigration and claim bags and everything?

There is no US Immigration or Customs when exiting the US. All you have to do in Newark on your return is go from your arrival gate in Terminal A to your departure gate in Terminal C. United operates a shuttle bus inside security between A and C.
