I have a flight from YVR to EWR on United. I think I will be arriving at either Terminal B or C. I've looked at the map of EWR Terminal B, but it seems like the Airtrain is sectioned off? If I land in Terminal B, go down to the the Arrivals Level to pick up my baggage, will I be able to just easily go back up to the Concourse level to board the Airtrain? or do I have to check-in somewhere beforehand? Thanks!
If your flight is operated by United you will almost definitely arrive in Terminal C. You don't have to "check in" to ride the airtrain, regardless of what terminal you arrive in.
Thanks for the quick reply! Just to clarify, does this mean that when I get off the plane, I go down to the lower level to claim my baggage, then head back up to the upper level to board the airtrain?
That is correct.
Great! Thank you so much :)
My kids reaching at terminal A and need to connect into international flight at terminal C. How to go about this without going through security again.
If I arrive In EWR United Term B at 6:50 pm (on a domestic US flight), and leave on an International United flight from Terminal C at 8:20 pm (To India), is 90 mins sufficient to connect? Thanks.
Domestic flights on United almost never arrive in Terminal B - it is far more likely you will arrive in Terminal A or C. Regardless, all of their gates in Newark are connected by shuttle buses inside security and all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
I arrive by SW flt in Terminal A and have a connecting intl flt DELTA from Terminal B after 5 hours. What is the quickets and best way to go from Terminal A to B without much hassles?
The only way is the AirTrain. You will have to transfer any checked bags yourself.
will i need to go back through security when i go from arriving in united terminal C to lufthansa terminal B? how much time will i need?
No, United runs a shuttle inside security between Terminal C and the Lufthansa gates in Terminal B. 1 hour should be sufficient.
I will fly from ATL to Lisbon (PT) with a 2h connection in EWR. 1st flight is United (ATL-EWR) and then Tap (EWR-LIS). Is it enough? Do I have to pass through immigration again in EWR? Thanks
There is no US Immigration when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. I believe the United shuttle bus from Terminal C to B operates to the satellite of B that TAP uses, but 2 hours is enough time to take the AirTrain and re-clear security if you want.
HI, I'll be travelling (National) from SJU to EWR and then depart (International) from EWR to LIS (Portugal) and from there a 3 flight to Madrid. Do I need to recheck bags at EWR. My first flight is via Jetblue and then my other 2 are via TAP Portugal. Is 2 Hours enough layover time.
If you have to separate reservations then you will have to claim your bags from jetBlue and re-check them with TAP. If it's one reservation then you won't have to claim and and re-check your bags.
I am flying Ottawa to Newark to Shannon, county Clare both flights with united. There is a 1hr 30 min layover. Is this enough time and will I have to check my bags in again at Newark? Thanks
That is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ottawa. You don't have to do anything with your bags in Newark. All you have to do is take the shuttle bus from Terminal A where you arrive to Terminal C where you depart. You have enough time.
I am flying from Dublin to Toronto with a connection through Newark with Air Canada and the ticket is on the same reservation. I have a layover for 2 hours and 30 mins. Will I have to collect my bags and go through security or customs in Newark? Any help would be great thankyou!
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate, take the AirTrain to your departure terminal, and go through security.
I will be arriving to EWR domestically on United, then departing to Munich on Lufthansa, Do I need to recheck in and go through security again?
Where are you flying into EWR from? No, you will not have to re-check your bags if both flights are on the same reservation. All United and Lufthansa gates are connected inside security by shuttle buses.
We will be flying in from Fort Myers FL. Scheduled to have 1 hr 45 min layover
Then you just have to take the shuttle bus inside security from Terminal C to your Lufthansa gate in Terminal B. You have enough time.
We bought tickets from Estonia to New York Liberty (estonia – amsterdam – new york) airport in january. Same day we must fly from New York to Indianapolis. We arrive to New York Liberty airport 13:35 but next flight to Indianapolis is 15:55. Is two hours and twenty minutes enough time to go throught the custom and go to internal flight or we must buy tikets next flight? Flights between is 5 hours and 40 minutes.
Sorry, our flight is from Estonia to Copenhagen to New York not throught Amsterdam. Flight company is SAS and internal flight company is United Airlines.
Yes, that should be enough time if everything is on the same reservation. If it's two separate reservations and you have checked bags that will be pretty difficult and I would go with the 5 hour connection.
