UA 083 - Delhi -Newark arrives at 04:35 AM, I have next connecting flight UA 1989 for Atlanta at 06:30 AM. Total layover time is showing 1:55 mins. is it sufficient?

Yes, that should be enough time if the flight from Delhi is on-time.

Hi. Will be flying from Aruba to Nova Scotia and connecting through Newark, arriving at Terminal C and getting next flight at Terminal A. Two questions... will I have to collect and re-check my luggage coming and what is the best way to get from terminal to terminal. Thanks!

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Aruba. All you have to do in Newark is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. United runs a shuttle from C to their gates in A that runs inside security - take that.

  • 3 Hour Layover

Will 3 hours and 10 minutes be enough time to make a connection on 1/20/17 on TAP coming from Lisbon and continuing on to SFO? I'll only have a carry on bag if that makes a difference but I'll need to go through customs. I had a bad experience trying to do something similar at JFK.

Yes, that should be enough time.

Would I have enough time to clear customs, immigration and get to my next flight with a 2 hour layover on a Bon-Ewr-Bos flight? If no, will global entry make a difference?

If it matters it will be united airlines

Yes, that should be enough time. Global Entry never hurts.

my flight to EWR is the earliest available.and there is only one flight out to PUJ. layover time is only 55 minutes. arrive at concourse A Depart C.136. Will the departure flight wait for us to take the bus from A to C if the arrival plane is on time?

They will not wait for you. If you miss your connection you will get routed through Houston or on a flight the next day.

Flying into EWR at 4:35am on a Friday. Will be going through customs, switching airlines (From UA to Alaska Air). There are 2 options: 7:00am and 4:00pm. We would really like the 7:00am to work so we aren't stuck at the airport for 8 hours. Is 2.5 hours enough time to make it through customs to catch the 7:00am? (We will be one of the first off the plane when landing in EWR) What about if we have TSA Precheck/Global Re-entry?

I think the 7 AM flight should be possible, especially with Global Entry.

will 55 min. layover be enough to get from terminal A gate 7 to terminal C gate 136?

There is no gate A7. What airlines are you flying and where are you flying from and to?

South Bend, IN. So let's say Gate 10A to gate 136C. ..and lets' assume arrival plane is on time.

United both legs. SBN to PUJ

OK, then you have enough time. United runs a shuttle bus inside security from their gates in A to Terminal C - use that.

I have a flight from New Delhi to Toronto with connection in newark for only 1 hour and 25 minutes. Is this enough to take the next flight for toronto?

Realistically, no, that is not enough time unless the flight from Delhi arrives quite early.

  • CLT to EWR to SJU has 2 flights both short connections to San Juan

Flight coming from CLT to SJU connects in EWR. One flight offers a 46 min. connection time then another option lists a 55 min. connection time in EWR. Are either one doable or is there not enough time for either?

Both are possible. Obviously the 55 minute one offers more wiggle room.

  • BCN to EWR to ORD Pre-check?
    Nov 8, 2016

I'm traveling from BCN to EWR to ORD and was wondering if there is pre-check available after clearing immigration via Global Entry? What's the fastest way to clear security again, go through the special transfer lines or exit and go through external pre-check?

Go to the regular security checkpoint for your departure terminal (likely Terminal C). There will be precheck there.

  • LHR-LAS with 2hr 26min layover in EWR

Flying United in Jan on a Tue, get in from LHR and have 2 hr 26 min for getting bags, customs, recheck etc. Is that enough? And will I need to change terminals? All on one booking with UA. Thanks!

Yes, that should be enough time. You might arrive in Terminal B or C. you will depart from Terminal C.

Would you be able to check your luggage at the original terminal or do you also have to carry the luggage through the terminal change?

You will be able to re-check your bags right after customs in your arrival terminal.

TLV - EWR - STL, will have an5 hours layover in EWR and flight lives to STL from terminal A. Have access to United lounge - with one pass yet the one in terminal A is closed for renovations. Can I go to terminal C with a boarding pass to terminal A?

Yes, go through security in Terminal C, use one of the clubs there, then about 45-60 minutes before your flight, take the shuttle bus inside security over to A.

    That is very helpful

I have a connection from Bogotá to Munich on the 14th of january, connecting from flight UA1069 (at terminal B?) to flight UA30 (departing from terminal C). If there are no delays, I have 1 hour 30 minutes, is that sufficient?

This is a very difficult connection. In Newark you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, possibly change terminals on the airtrain, and then go through security and to your departure gate. You have barely enough time if everything goes perfectly.

Would I be more likely to make it if I don't have any luggage to claim and recheck? Also, I ordered this ticket through an online travel agency, will UA be able to help me if I miss the connection, say, if the incoming flight is delayed?

Yes, not checking bags makes it easier. Yes, if you miss your connection United will help you - they could rebook you on the later Lufthansa flight to Munich if there are available seats on it.

Taking my connecting flight in ewr to lhr from Montreal. Will arrive at terminal C for terminal A. Do i need to clear customs again or should i just reach terminal A directly. Both flight with UA but 56 min between.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Newark is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in Terminal A, United runs a shuttle bus inside security to Terminal C. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
