Hi there, I'm travelling from San Francisco to Newark, then have a 45mins connection to Glasgow flight!!! Will i make it? Both United flights. Thanks in advance!

Yes, that is enough time if your flight from San Francisco is on-time. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal 3.

    Sorry I mean Terminal C.

Thankyou for the rapid response! My flight from San Fran is now delayed 20mins...I'm going to b cutting it very fine!!

Arriving from Toronto to EWR at 8:00 am. Need to catch a connecting flight to Shanghai, China that leaves 10:45 am. 2 checked baggages. Do i need to go through custom immigration again and recheck bags? I am a Chinese resident. Enough time? Thanks.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. If both flights are on United all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If you arrive in Terminal A then United runs a shuttle inside security to Terminal C where you depart. You have enough time. Note that you will need a US Transit visa for this trip if you don't already have a visa for the US.

Thx for the reply....Yes have a tourist visa for USA. The flight from Toronto to EwR is Air Canada. So do i tell them to forward my two checked luggages to Shanghai in Toronto? Again, the flight from toronto to new york is Air Canada but the flight from USA to Shanghai is United. Im more worried about my luggage situation as im a bit confused as to whether i should pick it up again in new york and recheck or they just direct it from Toronto...

If both tickets are on the same reservation your bags will be checked through to Shanghai and you don't have to do anything with your bags in Newark.

No they were seperately booked so does that mean I have to go out and recheck the baggages again?

hi we will be arriving with united from belfast and have 1 hour 3o min to get to our next gat for orlando on the wa home we will arrive from orlando and have just 1 hour 15 mins to get to gate for connecting london flight will this be enough time thank you

After arriving in Newark from Belfast you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go to Terminal C if you arrived in B on the AirTrain and then go through security. That is a very difficult connection. On your return to Belfast all you have to do in Newark is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate both in Terminal C and you have enough time.

I will arrive in Terminal B on SAS from Copenhagen at 12.55, with departure from terminal C (United Airlines) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) at 15.59. Will I have to claim my bag in terminal B and recheck it ? Do I recheck it in terminal B or C? Which is the fastest way to go from Terminal B to Terminal C?

Yes, you will have to claim your bags to go through US Customs, if they are tagged to FLL you can re-check them at the re-check desk immediately after in Terminal B. Then you will take the AirTrain to Terminal C and go through security. You have enough time.

Arriving from Montreal (YUL) to EWR Terminal C on United and connecting to EWR Terminal A domestic flight on United to Greensboro (GSO). We have 1 hour 30 minutes to connect. No luggage to be checked, only one carry on. Is this enough time to connect???

There's actually a very good chance both flights will be in Terminal A. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. If you do have to change terminals, United runs a shuttle bus inside security between C and A. You have enough time.

    Sounds good, thanks!

I will be traveling from Dublin, Ireland to Pittsburgh, PA through Newark Airport on United Airlines. Will I need to go through Immigration, claim my luggage and recheck my luggage or will my luggage be checked straight through to Pittsburgh, I only have 1 hr 50 min between the 2 flights.

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Newark is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If your departure gate is in Terminal A, United runs a shuttle bus inside security from Terminal C to A.

Have approx. 1.20 mins. to get from Terminal A to C to catch domestic connecting flight. Best to take shuttle between A and C to avoid going through security again? I have been told by someone that taking AirTrain would require security screening again. Also, can you tell me approximate walking time between Terminal A & C? Thanks a lot!

Yes, take the shuttle. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

Flying in to EWR from Manchester, NH (MHT) on United Bombardier Q200. Not sure which terminal we are landing at. 1.15mins. layover & switching planes. Flying out of EWR to Dallas (DFW) on United Boeing 737-700. Not sure which terminal we depart. Hoping both are Terminal C but not sure. Enough time?

You could arrive in Terminal A or C. you will depart from Terminal C. If you have to change terminals, United operates a shuttle bus inside security from A to C.

Hi We are looking to fly Glasgow to Lexington with a stop over at Newark....there is 2hrs and 10mins changeover period at Newark to make the flight to Lexington....is this enough time considering immigration, security etc? Also returning home the time from landing at Newark from Lexington to our cnnecting flight to Glasgow is only 1hr 20mins.....is this enought time to make the flight?? I assume we wouldnt need to go through immigration and we would not need to collect and recheck our bags? Thanks

Yes, that should be just about enough time. Correct, on the return there is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US.

Do you think I'll have enough time if I'm connecting from an international flight to Chicago internal flight having to get bags and recheck in , in 1hr35??

That is technically legal, but with checked bags I don't think it's very reasonably possible.

That should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I'm landing at Newark at 4:50pm in Terminal A and then need to catch International Flight in Terminal C that takes off at 5:50pm. First flight is Southwest, International Flight is United. No checked bags, will be carry on. Do I have enough time?

No, that's not enough time as you will have to take the AirTrain to Terminal C and go through security.

Why would this person not be able to use the United shuttle between Terminals A and C?

Because the United shuttle goes to a different satellite of Terminal A than the one that Southwest uses and the satellites aren't connected inside security.

We will be arriving in Terminal B on SAS from Copenhagen.\ and connecting to Cincinnati, OH with United Express in Terminal A. The layover time is 2 hr 25 min. Considering that I need to get my checked-in luggage, immigration and customs would that be enough time?

That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly.

Check which line you need to be in they are sending people to the wrong lines which will really mess up your timing to get through, they will send you back to the end of the other line if you go to the wrond one
