Arriving from OSL and have a 2 hr layover before connecting flight (AA) to CLT departing at terminal A. Do I need to pick up my luggage and re-check or will it go all the way through? And if I need to re-check baggage, where will I find the re-check counter? How do I get to terminal A?
Are both flights on the same reservation or two separate reservations?
They are on the same reservation.
You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk (right after customs), take the AirTrain to Terminal A and go through security and to your departure gate.
I will be connecting at Newark in the A2 gates area. I wish to visit the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge (Priority Pass access), which I believe is in the A1 gate area. Is there any way to pass between the A2 and A1 gates without having to clear security each time?
No, there is not.
Hi, I will be traveling with my family of 4 (1 yr old and 3 yr old) seated in the 2nd to last row of the plane and flying United Airlines for both flights. We are arriving at 703pm in EWR and departing for Lisbon at 820pm. I believe both arriving and departing gates in EWR are terminal C. My question is will we have enough time assuming there isn't a delay? Will we need to recheck our baggage and go through security again? Thank you in advance for your feedback.
As long as you are arriving on a domestic flight, that will not be an issue. Transiting between the C gates is very easy, as you just simply walk to your next gate. No passing through security required. Domestic arrivals do not require you to re-check your bag.

If you are arriving in Terminal A or B, they have an airside bus (so you do not have to pass through security) to get to terminal C. The bus departs around every 15 minutes, and is easy to use. So no, I would not stress at all - assuming that your 19:03 arrival is relatively on-time.
Hello. I have to fly to Vienna at the end of April; I'm flying from Detroit to Newark, landing at 3:46pm, and my Austrian Airlines flight departs at 5:50pm. Will I have enough time to recheck my bags (I'm not sure if I will need to go through security again) and get to terminal B?

Thank you!
Is it one reservation or two separate reservations? What airline are you flying to Newark?
Two reservations, I'm flying to Newark with Delta
Both flights will be in Terminal B, but you will have to claim your bags, re-check them with Austrian, and go through security. You have enough time if the flight from Detroit is on-time, but not much to spare.
Hi. We are traveling to Paris from Costa Rica. We have a 1hour 30 minute layover, no checked bags. Will this be enough time to get to connecting flight?
That is barely enough time if everything goes smoothly and both flights are on United.
I be arriving from Delhi enroute to Toronto, my luggage be checked in all the way to Toronto (i assume) do I need to clear immigration and customs or just change gates at EWR?
In Newark you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, possibly take the AirTrain to a different Terminal, and go through security.
Newbie to international travel here. I messed up and stupidly booked SBN-EWR followed by EWR-NRT on separate bookings. Both bookings are with United. I have 2.5 hours in EWR between arrival from SBN in Terminal A and departure for NRT in Terminal C. I know there's an airside shuttle bus from TA to TC, but because I will be on two separate bookings, can I use this bus? I'm guessing SBN will not issue my boarding pass for the EWR-NRT flight since my flight out of SBN terminates in EWR. I'm also guessing that even if I am able to take the airside bus from TA to TC, I would have to exit security in TC to check in for the EWR-NRT flight, which I'm fine with, but would I be able to board the bus from TA in the first place? Thanks in advance.
Call United and see if you can have the two booking joined together. If they can't then show the Tokyo confirmation to the agent in South Bend and ask if they can check your bags through to Tokyo. In either instance they should be able to issue your Tokyo boarding pass and if not you can get it at a customer service desk inside security in Newark.
Thank you ZAP! I spoke with a United agent who said that SBN will be able to check my bags through to Tokyo AND issue my Tokyo boarding pass, even though my bookings are separate. No need to exit security in Newark. I am relieved. Now here's hoping my SBN-EWR flight is on time, else I could be looking at a really expensive lesson.
I will be arriving on United from FRA and departing on United to SDF 2 hours later. I have global entry clearance. Will this leave me enough time to clear, pick up bags and re-check bags being the flights are on separate legs?
Yes, that should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I will be flying into Newark and my next flight departs 1 hour 50 minutes after my incoming flight arrives. I land at 5:30PM from Reykjavik (Wow) and depart at 7:20PM for St. Louis (United). Is this enough time to deplane, clear customs and immigration, pick up luggage, get to the new terminal, check bags, go through security and then get on our connecting flight? I usually have TSA precheck when I fly, but not always. If not, there's another flight that leaves 40 minutes later, but it gets me to STL 3 hours later. Thx
No, that is not enough time, especially when you consider that most Wow flights are late.
I am flying to Orlando via Newark with United from Edinburgh! I have the same reservation all the way to Orlando! I will be arriving into Terminal B and leaving for Orlando from terminal C. Will I need to collect and re check my bag in?
No, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Newark. Also both flights will likely be in Terminal C.
I have the same thing, arriving Terminal B and leaving Terminal C with the same connection time. I was told I have to pick bags and then drop them off again after customs.
