I am returning home to the us from New Zealand via Houston. How long should I expect it to take between arriving and luggage pick up? I am trying to determine when I should be picked up and am considering Uber.
I imagine it will be about 30-45 minutes from when your plane arrives at the gate to when you are able to be picked up after claiming your bags.
Hi, We'll be arriving in Newark next Wednesday from Heathrow then catching a connection - 4 hours later - to Knoxville. Am I right in thinking we will:
1) go through US immigration on arrival then
2) collect our hold luggage and change terminals then
3) check in for the Knoxville flight and go through security again?
Both flights are with United.
That should be enough time.
Hi. We're Canadian citizens and will be flying from Newark direct to Vancouver on United. Do we clear US customs in Newark or when we arrive in Vancouver? Thanks!
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. You will go through Canadian Immigration and Customs in Vancouver.
I am arriving on United from DFW to EWR at terminal B and then 1 hour and 10 minutes later depart from gate C41 to London. I see that United runs a shuttle between A & C post security but do they offer anything post security between B and C? Or will we have to leave the secured area and go back through security again? If yes, I assume we just take the shuttle? Is this enough time?
Your flight from DFW will probably not arrive in B, but if it does, they do run a shuttle from their gates in B to C. Also, there is no such gate as C41. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
Sorry! C91.
Do we go through customs in EWR before boarding or in DUB upon arrival?
You will go through Irish Immigration and Customs in Dublin. There is no US Customs when leaving the US.
I am arriving at Terminal B and need to meet a friend who is arriving at terminal A. How do I get to Terminal A AFTER I pick up my bags at baggage claim?
you use the airtrain.
A relative will be on an international flight to Newark Terminal B. She will be traveling with an infant, a dog and luggage.

Are there any services that could meet her at the gate to help her through Passport Control, baggage area, getting the dog and Customs?

If not, are Skycaps available in the baggage area that can help her carry everything, get the dog and then go through Customs?

Many thanks for any info and suggestions.
There is no such service. There are no skycaps in the International baggage claim.
We do not fly frequently. We are US Citizens with passports and will be returning from trip to Canada flying from Calgary Airport to Newark. Will we go through US Immigration and Customs at Newark or is Calgary a Preclearance Site and that is all done in Calgary Airport before our Air Canada flight. If it’s all done in Calgary, then do we just go to Baggage Claim after arriving in Newark just as though arriving on a domestic flight?

You will preclear US immigration and customs in Calgary. In Newark you will just claim your bags like a domestic flight.
Hi, I'm flying in from Barcelona on Friday, sept. 8 arriving at 3:50pm. I will be flying on a ticket bought separately - my options are 5:20 or 9:30. I'd obviously much prefer the earlier - do you think this is doable in that time frame?
I don't think the earlier flight is possible, especially on two separate reservations.
I fly from DC to Newark on United arriving on TB and then connecting flight departs from TC I just have 1:10 time in between two flights. Do I have to do security check again? Is this enough time for the connection I have three kids with me. What is the best way to travel from TB to TC?
United Flights from DC to Newark do not arrive in B. They arrive in A or C. United runs a shuttle bus that connects all their gates inside security. Use that. You should have enough time.
