Pick up at terminal CAug 2, 201110Is there any construction around Terminal C that would make it difficult to be picked outside baggage by a family memberbbbbbbbbposted on Tue, Aug 2EWR does not state any construction. However, for pick-up/drop-off it suggests strongly to park at the short-term lot or parking garage in front of each terminal - they do not have a cell phone lot. For parking info call 888 39-4636, press 22 for up-to-date info. Terminal frontagees are for active loading/unloading only.HH39posted on Tue, Aug 2

Flying to SwedenJul 26, 201110I am flying to Sweden from Chicago, with a connection in Newark. Is an hour enough time to catch my connection? Do I have to go through any extra security to get to the international terminal?smkposted on Mon, Jul 25As an international arrival in Chicago, you need to pick up your bag from the baggage claim, pass through customs clearance and then recheck your bags (which should be pre-tagged from your original departure airport as 'through baggage'. Then you can proceed to your connecting gate to catch your Newark flight. Time is tight but should suffice.1039posted on Tue, Jul 26

Newark stop off on an international tripJul 5, 201110I'm a Spanish resident traveling from Madrid to Panama but I have a stop off in Newark Liberty International Airport. I only have a 3 hour lay-over, will I have enough time to go through security and the baggage claim/re-check and make my flight? Or will my baggage go directly to Panama, and I will only have to go through a security/passport check?Nuriaposted on Tue, Jul 5three hours is plenty of time - Newark has only three terminals which are connected by an elevated train system. However, keep in mind that all international arrivals in the U.S., are required to first clear customs, which means you have to pick up your bag from baggage claim, then pass through customs. Outside customs, you can recheck your bags with most carriers, and your bags should already be pre-tagged to go to the final destination.HH39posted on Tue, Jul 5

baggage on non connecting flightJun 6, 201110Will be arriving ewr term b with checked bag which need to claim and then recheck for int'l flight out of term c. How complicated is that. Does term have it's own baggage claim?mapachposted on Sun, Jun 5Baggage Claim areas are in all terminals (with baggage carts). Upon your arrival at TB you need to go down to the Arrivals level & claim your bag; then take elevator/escalator to upper level, clear security and proceed to the AirTrain Station at the gateway leading to Gate Area 2. The continuously-running elevated train takes only 2 minutes to get to TC, you arrive there at the upper level's center, at post-security; proceed up to the Concourse Level's gate areas, as indicated on your ticket.PilotJoeposted on Mon, Jun 6
