3. Traveler's Aid
Travelers Aid, the not-for-profit organization, furnishes both professional and volunteer staff who provide emergency assistance to customers (a) who are lost, confused, uncertain, or otherwise distressed (b) who have lost airline tickets or traveling papers (passport, visa, certificate of birth, etc.), (c) with insufficient funds, (4) separated from traveling companions, (d) disabled, elderly or juveniles traveling alone, or (e) who incur other circumstances which would preclude them from continuing on to their final destination.
Services to be provided include, but are not limited to, connecting stranded or lost international passengers with support resources such as contacting the consulate of their native country, social agencies, family members and arranging for temporary housing, emergency food or clothing and/or referral to local social services agencies.
You can find a Traveler's Aid Volunteer at the Ground Transportation Counters in each terminal or reach them at the Traveler's Aid Main Office Number, which is 973-623-5052.

Lost & Found at Newark Liberty EWR Airport

If you lost an item in the gate area or onboard, contact your airline.
If your items lost at the TSA Security Check Point, call TSA at (908) 787-0667.
If you lost baggage at other area,  call  the Port Authority Police Lost and Found Custodian at (973) 961-6243.

Mail Center / U.S. Post Office at Newark Liberty EWR Airport

A Business Service Center is available in in each Newark Terminal and in each of the Airline Clubs.

Pets / Animals at Newark Liberty EWR Airport

When traveling with pets, pets should remain in their carriers at all times except for service animals. The Port Authority of NY and NJ and our airport partners have provided pet relief areas for customers. These areas are located in the arrivals area of each terminal. Follow the signs in the baggage claim areas or ask a Customer Care Representative for information. Owners can take their animals to these pet relief areas and allow the pets to relieve themselves. Owners are expected to clean up after their animals with the materials provided in the pet relief areas. Pet owners whose animals have an accident elsewhere in the terminal are expected to clean up after their animals and notify a member of the cleaning crew. There are no pet relief areas beyond security checkpoints in any of the terminals at the Port Authority airports. As policies relating to the transportation of pets vary by airline and time of year, we suggest you contact your airlines directly for details.

Smoking at Newark Liberty EWR Airport

Smoking is prohibited in all public areas inside the passenger terminals at Newark International Airport with the exception of specifically designated areas within the liquor bars, where smoking is permitted.

    I lost my iPad2 (black one with white charging cable) in United Club on 2/6/2012 when I waited for trasnfer flight CO89(from Newwark to Beijing). The Pilot has already sent the meesage to Newark airport on 2/6/2012. I am Gold member of United mileage Plus

  • Lost my iPad in the TSA check point

     

     I came from Newark Airport to Miami international airport today, 27 december 2011. The flight number was AA 1921 in the gate 34 and bording time 5:30 am. I passed the check point, more less at 5:00 am and when I was there, the oficial returned my box to put my notebook and iPad out of my backpack. I don't know what happened, but when I arrived in Miami, I was just with my notebook inside my backpack. I don't have yet a return call from lost and found phone number 908-787 0667. The iPad was in a black case, with a cream cover of leather and in the back, a black cover made of plastic. I hope any of you may help me because I use it in my job.

    I lost my Nikon D3100 camera and camera bag on a flight from Newark to Asheville, NC on 12/22. If anyone has found it please let me know. It was a Christmas gift.

    It is so frustrating to contact the lost and found and just be able to let a voice mail at a machine. I did this and after 24h I still have no reply from the EWR. You pay boarding taxes and don't have a service that can support you for critical issues as work tools like computers.

    My wife was traveling on 11/30/2011. from EWR to MIA and then from MIA to LIM on the 6am American Airlines flight on Terminal A to MIA. She was on the priority boarding line since she was traveling first class. She was travelling with our baby and with a stroller. She had a back pack with her samsung galaxy tablet and samsung model sh100 camera. TSA searched the bag and also put the baby bottle through a machine. My wife received the bag back but when she got to final destination, the camera was missing. We beleive TSA may have neglected to place the camera back in the bag. The camera was inside a sony labeled black case. The camera itself is red. We would appreciate if they would return it.

    I lost my ipod touch either on my plane or in the airport on sat nov 26th. I was on united flight 646 sitting in seat 20B... the ipod touch had a purple silicone cover on it and grey headphones were attached. it was also engraved on the back "Miss Kumbhani's ipod don't touch" if anyone has found it please write back, thanks
