Current and future Airport developments: A new 4-level Passenger Terminal with four air bridges is under construction, covering an area of 29,000 sq.meters - three times larger than the current terminal (
5,000 sq.m of which are intended for commercial use) - and able to handle 12 flights simultaneously. The new apron will be able to handle larger aircraft. Upon completion the new terminal will be able to process 3 million passengers annually.
The terminal is to reach a new level of service quality. While construction started in 2015, and was to be completed by 2016, it seems to have run into delays.
The Atass bus runs between the airport and midtown Odessa. Taxi desks are located near the main entrance of the passenger terminal. Rental car agencies operate only from the city center.
