Okayama OKJ Airport Overview

Okayama Airport OKJ serves the Okayama Prefecture of Japan and Okayama City.

The Airport is located 18 m northwest of central Okayama City, in the Chugoku Region, and 11.5 km northwest from the City’s bus station; it  is a 10-minute ride away from the Okayama interchange, Sanyo Expressway. 

Okayama Airport is seved by some domestic and international Airlines, offering domestic flights to Tokyo Haneda, Sapporo New Chitose & Okinawa Naha, and international flights to Tokyo Haneda, Saporro & Okinawa, as well as to Seioul, Shanghai Taipei & Gam. The Airport is also served by seasonal charter flights.

Okayama Airport has a three-level passenger terminal offering the following services & amenities on each level:
Level 1: A fast-food establishment,, a souvenir shop, Chugoku Bank Foreign Currency Exchange (US dollars, Korean won, Chinese yuan), tel. 086-252-5241; and Rental Car Desks for Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Nippon, Japaren & Orix.
Level 2:  A steak restaurant, coffee shop & noodle restaurant; a souvenir/ variety shop, confectionery shop; and the Muscat Lounge (tel. 086-294-7210).
Level 3: The Miyoshino Restaurant (tel. 096-294-4343).

Parking at Okayama Airport is available in parking lots across from, and close to the passenger terminal.
 
To get from Okayama Airport to your destination you can rent a car, take a taxi (tel. 0867 44 3175), or a bus:
1. Taxi Share-Rides are available to Tsuyama & Maniwa: To Tsuyama it is a 70-minute ride;  to Maniwa (Yubara Onsen / Yubara Hot Springs & Chugoku Katsuyama Sta.), a ride of 110 minutes.
2. A Bus to Okayama Station takes about 30 minutes by either Chutetsu or Okaden Buses.
3. To Kurashii Sta., Mishima Sta. & JR Jojima Sta – a ride between 35 & 110 minutes - available by either Chutetsu or Shimoden Buses.
