Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL) Parking

Parking options at Oslo Gardermoen Airport:  (Passenger dropoff is now available right in front of the terminal.)  Lot P4 is the cheapest parking option, while garage P10 is the most expensive, but also most convenient option:

1. P10, a multi-level parking garage, is across from the terminal, while
2. P11, another parking garage,  is about 400 meters away.
3. P1 is the closest of the surface parking lots P1 through P6; it is 600 meters away, but within walking distance of the terminal. 
4. P1-P6 are surface lots - P5 of which is only for summer parking. These lots are served by continuously-running free shuttle buses, available every 15 minutes.

5. Express Parking: 1. Follow the signs to the short-term parking for departures; park in the designated area; 2. complete the form on the key envelope, retain your receipt, and deposit the envelope in EuroPark’s drop safe at the area; 3. take an extra key envelope for later use; 4. your car will be parked in the P10 garage. 5. On request, your car will be waiting for you at  area 1B of the garage - next to the reception desk.

Payment: You can pay by 'petrol' (gas) card or credit card on entry and exit, or by taking a ticket on entry and paying at the pay machines prior to car pickup.

As an alternative to on-site parking, there are off-airport parking at Oslo Gardermoen airport options which may offer significant discounts. Most have shuttle vans or buses which operate from their facilities to the terminals, and feature secure facilities with security guards and cameras 24 hours.

Many local hotels offer up to 2 weeks free parking with one night stay. This can be especially convenient if you have an early flight and need to park at Oslo Gardermoen airport. They provide shuttle service too.

These parking lots are farther from the airport, but the distance is often compensated with lower prices, 24-hour security, car-to-terminal shuttle services and other perks like frequent parker programs. Aside from off-site commercial parking lots allow you to reserve a parking spot in advance, which can be a real timesaver during peak travel times. In addition, many airport hotels offer stay, park and fly deals in which you stay at the hotel the night before your flight and then you can park your car at the hotel for free or a low daily rate. Just make sure the hotel parking lot is secure as some aren’t monitored around-the-clock like airport and commercial lots.

It’s too easy to forget where you parked or where you put the parking ticket after an extended trip. Even if you’re running late, take the time to note where you parked in your cell phone, PDA or on the parking ticket if you take it with you. Just make sure you don’t lose the parking ticket, because most airports charge a hefty fee for missing tickets. For that reason, it may be safer to leave the ticket in your car.
