Oulu OUL Airport Overview

Oulu Airport OUL is located in Finland's municipality of Oulunsalo, 15 km south-west of Oulu city center, near the Gulf of Bothnia, Finland, and is Finland’s second-busiest airport after Helsinki-Vantaa.

With a long runway and around 900,000 passengers a year,, Oulu Airport - Finland's second-busiest airport - is served by  Finnair (including multiple daily departures to Helsinki), and other airlines offering direct scheduled flights to many European destinations, with connections around the world. The passenger terminal at Oulu Aiport - which was upgraded during 2013 & 2014 - offers free internet access, an Information Desk (tel: 08-520-7800), a mailbox, pharmacy, ATM cash machine, rental cars, rocking chairs, 2cafes,  tax-free shop, children's play area, VIP suite (tel.08 8807701), and Lost Property (tel. 020 708 7800) & Disability support call (08) 520 7800.  The VIP suite is on level 2 and is suitable for conference or rest (for reservations call (08) 8807701.
The ground level serves both arrivals & departures: Arriving passengers of gates 11 & 12 will pick up their bags and go through costoms check.. Departing passengers wil use the check-in kiosks, go through security check and take the elevator/escalator up to level 1, where they go through passport control, iwth neary play area, and access to gates 13-17.  A conference room /services is available at the eastern end.   
WiFi is free throughout the terminal.

Long- and short-term parking is in front of the terminal.  (P1 has heated parking space included in the fee. P2 is for short-term parking, 20 minutes or less).

Present and future Airport Developments:
  Finavia, the Airport Operator, is investing 13M Euros for its upcoming renovation work around major traffic areas between late April and mid-August 2017:
Runway, taxiways & apron will be resurfaced and the lighting system modernized. Taxiways at the end of the runway are to be upgraded for wide-bodied aircraft.  Work will be done in three stages, starting April 27 and ending August 13, 2017. The runway will be fully closed June 26 & July 31, 2017.
