I fly from SFO to Paris, have a 12 hour layover, then to Johannesburg, all on AirFrance. American Citizen and US Passport. Can I LEAVE THE AIRPORT?
If I leave CDG , Will I have to go through customs with my suitcase or can it be checked all the way through from SFO to Johannesburg . How much time before departure to Johannesburg should I get back to CDG?

I will be departing CDG for Johannesburg, from Terminal A at 11:30pm

I have a SQ flight arriving in CDG at 7.30am at terminal 1. The next flight to London is 9.50am . I need to collect our bags, go through passport control and customs, and then re-check bags with Easy Jet. Is 2.5 hours enough to do all this?
It's barely enough time if everything goes perfectly. Your EasyJet flight will depart from 2D so you will have to take the CDGVAL there.
Hi, I will be flying from Delhi to Boston on 23rd Jan. I have about a four hour layover at CDG. I was hoping to meet a friend at the airport for a bit. She told me that she won't be allowed to enter the international zone and that I will have to cross Customs in order to see her. I have a valid US student visa. Will I need to apply for a transit visa? I don't plan on exiting the airport. Thanks in advance!
You would need a Schengen entry visa to clear customs to meet your friend. You barely have time anyway - scrap the idea.
flying from ireland to CDG airport, is 2hours .30 mins enough time for layover on connecting flight to Bangkok Thailand
If both flights are on Air France, then yes, that is enough time. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Looking at flights from US to Dusseldorf Germany. Most have connections at CDG. If I book one ticket with the connection in CDG, will I have to go through customs? Or just passport control and bag will be transferred?

Thanks!
You will go through passport control in Paris, but not have to do anything with your bags.
I will have a 12 hour layover at CDG and booked a hotel for nap, shower, walking outside but nearby the airport grounds. I am then travelling on to Johannesburg, Africa. Is it OK to leave the airport?
What is your citizenship? If you require a visa what kind do you have?

I am a USA citizen. Will be travelling from Naples with connecting flught in Paris cDG ( flights booked through Delta so bags will be sent straight through. No sure if a 1H46 layover is enough time, as unsure whether we would have to go through passport control in Paris before boarding flight to US,or if we go through passport control in Naples. Thanks for any responses
We are looking at flights from jFK to naples with Delta. Would like less travel time. The times between arriving at CDG and taking connecting flight to naples are either 1hour 15 minutes or 4 hours! Will the shorter time give us enough time? Do we need to go through passport control/security. Also unsure how far between arrival lounge and departure lounge. Also unsure if our flight is late arriving and connecting fliht booked through Delta, does connecting flight have to wait. Help!! And thanks for any advice
We have a six hour layover in Paris. Is it worth it to leave the airport for awhile, or is there a lounge we can pay to use while we wait?
I live in Paris and my friend has a 4 hour layover at CDG. He arrives at terminal 2E. What would be a convenient place to meet?
