Arriving Terminal 2E on Air France and need to get to 2A (El AL) ...CDG website says only go thru security but not customs. Will I need to collect bags and recheck them ? How long will terminal transfer and bag recheck take on average? Would it be walking or taking a shuttle between terminals? Thanks so much !!

Since both flights are non-schengen you will only go through security. You don't have to do anything with your bags or go through Schengen immigration.

  • Arriving at CDG from Mumbai in transit

We are arriving at CDG at 08:30 this august and we will be in transit to Boston. Our connecting flight is at 16:45. Is it possible to do the transit tours of Paris? Do we need to apply for a visa for this reason or can we get a visa at the airport that will enable us to do one of the sightseeing tours offered at the airport? We are Indian nationals..

You will have to apply for a visa beforehand. You can't apply for a Visa in the airport.

Find out if India is on of the Visa-Waiver countries (no need for Visa) at France, if not, inquire at Info booth location of visa desk. While tourist/ sightseeing bus counters are in the baggage claim area of the terminals - you may also use the following transport options into Paris: 1. Local buses 350 & 351 run between the Airport & central Paris: The Roissybus (open: www.ratp.fr) serves all three terminals and runs to Place de l'Opéra, connecting there to the Paris Métro, and taking 45-60 minutes. 2. RER trains (visit: www.ratp.fr) serve the airport in conjunction with ADP shuttles. Line B runs from Terminal 1 and from the TGV station at Terminal 2 to Gare du Nord, Chatelet-les-Halles, St Michel, Luxembourg, Port Royal and Denfert-Rochereau, with connections to the Metro. Travel time to Gare du Nord is about 25 minutes.

  • Luggage pick up when transferring flights

We are flying from San Francisco to Paris and switching planes to Barcelona. Will we have to collect our checked luggage in Paris and recheck it in or will it go straight to Barcelona? Thanks!

You arrive at Barcelona El Prat as a non-Schengen (foreign) arrival, needing to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance & re-check-in bags where indicated; then proceed to your connecting gate. On arrival at CDG, you will be Schengen (domestic) arrival. For more terminal & transfer info, open www.ifly.com/bcn, then click on 'Terminal Map' under 'QUICK LINKS', and scroll down to the detailed text.

I will arrive from Atlanta at CDG at T2E at 8:10 A.M. then transfer to Marseille at T2F. I would like to know if I am supposed to go through immigration and or customs at CDG first before leaving for Marseille. I only have 84 minutes between flights which are both on Air France. Do I have enough time? Thank you very much for whatever advise you could give me.

You will go through Schengen immigration in Paris. It's not a choice you'll have to make, when you go towards your flight to Marseille you will have to go through it. Yes, you should have enough time.

Thank you very much, Zap. That's very helpful.

We will be arriving from Atlanta on an Air France flight at Term 2E and departing out of Term 2F on the same ticket to Rome with only carry on luggage. How much time should we allow between terminals? Do we have to clear customs and go through security?

On arrival at CDG you go through passport control. Transfer passengers between T2E & T2F use the pedestrian paths. Estimated transfer time 50 mins.

  • Will this connection time work for BCN-CDG-JFK ?

I'm looking at an AirFrance flight that would leave BCN on Sunday June 8 at 12:35pm and arrive in CDG at 2:30pm at Terminal 2F. I have a connecting flight through the same ticket departing from Terminal 2E for PHL at 4:10pm. Is that enough time? I am a US citizen, not sure if that makes a difference.

Yes you have enough time (no customs clearance necessary). For transfer from 2F to 2E open www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/ADP/en-GB/Passagers/Access-maps-car-parks/guide-connecting-flight/

  • Transfer from HK to nice
    Oct 17, 2013

I arrive at CDG 2a on Cathay pacific from HK at 645am. My flight to Nice is airfrance from CDG 2f at 825am. So basically I have 100 mins to transfer and my bags will be checked thru. A bit nervous because it looks like I have to take the shuttle bus. The only other option because everything is sold out is to take a 11am from Orly. Any advice

The T2 complex consists of Terminals T2A through T2G. Terminals T2A/T2B, T2D/T2C & T2F/T2E are divided north/south by their garages, and Separate & parallel Concourse buildings L & M (referred to as 'Halls L & M') are between T2E/2F. Follow signs on arrival to your connecting Terminal F.

    Do I have enough time

  • Terminal 2E (AF to Delta US flight)

Flying into Paris from Aberdeen (AF)- transferring within 2E for a Delta flight to Detroit (British National). Do I just follow the flight connections signs to the departure gate? I believe there's 3- K; L; M. Anyone know what the likely arrival and departure gates will be? (AF- Delta). Cheers.

On arrival at Terminal 2E (T2E) find your flight number and gate on the overhead screen. (Level 2 of T2E has two security checkpoint for either K or L & M satellite gates. Straight on it will lead to Gates K21-K54; while the shuttle train will take you to either of the separate satellite buildings of Concourse L (gates L21-53) or Concourse M (gates M21-50)

Cheers !! Heard CDG was a bit of a nightmare, so thought i'd check.

I have an air france flight from Marsielle to CDG- it arrives Terminal 1, then I need to go to T2F back to Newark- I have 1 hour and 45 min. is that enough time-

At Paris deGaulle Airport, the CDGVAL is the light-rail airport shuttle (CDGVAL) runs between T1 & T2F, stopping at Parking PR, near Hilton Hotel / Ibis. Your transfer time should be enough.
