  • Arriving with a dog in cabin
    Mar 13, 2014
Does anyone know the procedure to follow when you arrive with a dog in cabin? Is there a specific customs officer or department that I need to see upon arrival? We arrive on a wednesday at 7.55pm so its after the main quarantine office closes, but they said they deal with commercial outgoing flights only, so I'm not sure where we are supposed to go or what we are supposed to do upon arrival.

CDG has a special site for this: open If you can't open directly, open:, then click on Formalities, on 'Passenger traveling with a pet'.

  • Arrival waiting area
    Jan 20, 2014
My grandmother will be arriving at paris cdg terminal 2a at 6am but I'm coming from train from holland to pick her up at 12pm so there is a 6 hour waiting period in between . She doesn't speak English and won't have a mobile so where is a good waiting point for me to pick her up? are there chairs at the arrival right outside the 2a arrival hall where she can sit and wait?

six hours is a long time to wait in a small terminal with limited amenities (pharmacy, fast-food, convenience store) - with only the Roissybus directly connecting to Paris Opera. The meeting point is near the central entranc/exit, outside the baggage claim. When arriving at Paris, take the RER Rapid TGV train, taking 45 mins to the Airport. For an terminal maps open

  • arrive cdg with dog
    Oct 14, 2013
i am travelling air france from sfo to cdg with my dog in the hold. where do i pick up the dog when we arrive at cdg? can i let her out of crate before customs so she can pee? its such a long flight, i want to be sure i get to her right away. ty.

    1. You need to contact your airline as to where to pick up your pet - it will most likely on arrival have to go through quarantine inspection first. 2. While SFO has pet relief areas (now mandatory at US Airports) at T1 at Courtyard 1; at T2 at Couryard 3; at T3 at Courtyard 4 - CDG may not have them - at least they are not listed.

  • killing time
    Aug 7, 2012
We're arriving at CDG at 6:00 am from Boston. Must kill 3 hours until friends fly in to meet us at the airport. Can we pick up our checked luggage, which I assume is outside of security, and then find a comfortable chair/place to nap?

Baggage pickup is at the arrivals level, post-security. I suggest you familiarize yourself with the CDG terminal layout and connections by opening & clicking on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS; then scroll down to the text.

Can I travel freely from my arrival at Terminal 2e to meet a friend arriving at terminal 1 at her arrival gate? Do I need to go through security?

At CDG you will not be able to meet your friend in the secured area of Terminal 1. You will have to meet her outside (unsecured departure or arrivals level). For more information, open and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS - beyond the map is detailed terminal information.

  • custons and immigration

I am flying from Atlanta to Munich, transferring in Paris, both flights Delta, so terminal 2C. When I arrive in Paris do I have to retrieve baggage, go through immigration, etc? Or do I do that in Munich?

At CDG you are considered an international arrival and need to to through their (non-Schengen) immigration/customs clearance. Thereafter you need to connect to your connecting gate indicated at the overhead screens. Note that Terminal 2E has on the departures level access to gates L21-L53 and K21-K54; Terminal 2F has gates F24-56. A shuttle bus connects 2C & 2G, as well as 2E & 2G.

  • Layover in Paris, when to be back to CDG
    Jun 8, 2012
I will connect through Paris for a departure flight back to US. Checking my flight, I will depart from Terminal 2F. Here is what I plan to do: - I should have a boarding pass already for the Paris-US flight - My big luggage will be checked all the way through but I plan to leave a small luggage at Left Luggage area (near RER/TGV station). - Do a Day trip shopping in Paris - In the late afternoon I plan to take the RoissyBus back to CDG Questions: - Upon arrival at CDG, what should I go first: * Detaxe / Tax Refund * Go through passport control * or Should I pick up my left luggage at the RER CDG station? The left luggage is simply a handcarry that I will bring to the flight Other advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

First of all, if your arrival terminal at CDG, where you left your carry-on bag, is a different one than your departure Terminal at 2F. you will have to pick it up there, then connect to Terminal 2F, where you simply go through security check and on to your gate. As an international arrival in Paris (non-Schengen) you will have to go through their immigration/customs procedure prior to your proceeding to the left luggage service.

I left my duty free bag at the security check at Gate 25 Terminal 1. I had just bought an expensive perfume minutes earlier. My name, flight number and boarding pass number are all on the receipt which is inside the bag. What can I do to get it back?
