Arriving at PA (terminal A) at 13:50. My connection to Syracuse is at 16:25 will I have enough time? Scheduled to depart from terminal F. GB passport.

Where are you flying into PHL from? Even if it's international that should be enough time.

I'm flying from Paris to PHL on American Airlines, connection to an Alaska airline flight to Seattle. Is two hours enough to go through custom?

If both flights are on the same reservation that is just enough time.

I Checked bags from Glasgow and have to go thru customs. Do you have to go back through security and check luggage? Will 2 1/2 layover hrs be enough for a family of four?

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You have enough time.

Im going back home and one ticket is issued Jamaica-Philadelphia-London-Larnaca. AA confirmed that out luggage will go through and collect them in Larnaca while others told us that in Philadelphia need to go through customs, take bags and recheck bags and go through security. I'm confused what i should do...

In Philadelphia you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.

I am traveling from Doha to Nashville but I am connecting via PHL. I will arrive in PHL at 7:40am (Qatar Airway) and leave at 9:55am (American Airline). Do I have enough time and what do I need to do?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will arrive, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate.

Forget to say, I booked two separate reservations. Is it still be enough? I am worry about that. Thank you!

That makes it much more difficult, barely enough time. Show your AA confirmation to the Qatar Airways agent in your origin city and ask if they can check your bags through to Nashville, then you can use the re-check desk.

Hi. I have booked a ticket via American AIrlines for travel from New Hampshire (Manchester) to Philadelphia, then Philadelphia to Toronto (Canada). However, it was changed from a 3hr layover at Philadelphia to a 40min layover. That got me worried. Do I have to go through border control/immigration & customs & have to collect & recheck my luggage at Philadelphia? Or will they just put my luggage from New Hampshire straight to Toronto?

There is no US Immigration or customs when leaving the US.

My son and I are arriving at Philadelphia at 13.55 on a Monday afternoon from Germany and our connecting flight to Detroit is at 15.40 (we originally bought a flight with a 4 hr layover but AA rescheduled us). We are both on British passports and will be checking baggage. I believe we'll have to go from terminal A-West to F. This seems a really tight time-frame to me (which is why I didn't buy it originally). If we don't make our connection, what happens?

You will not depart from Terminal F - you will likely depart from B or C. This is possible if your flight from Germany is on-time.

Thanks. The ticket does currently say terminal F (flight AA3953 on June 27th) but I realise that may change by the time I print out the boarding pass. Can you tell me what happens if we don't make it? Who do I report to?

If you don't make it then you go to a customer service desk or kiosk.

Do we have time to catch a cab downtown? My leaving flight is international, but I should be checked through to Athens.

It's faster an easier to take the SEPTA airport line. You don't have a whole lot of time to spare.

  • 3 flights. Will i have enough time to get through security etc

Hi. Im flying from dub to phil (flight one), arriving in phil terminal A at 13.50 and my nexrt flight is at 15.15. Do i have enough time to go through security customs etc to catch my next flight. I fear i will miss my flight to charlotte from phil terminal 0

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Philadelphia is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. There is no Terminal 0. Your flight to Charlotte will depart from Terminal A, B, or C. They are all connected inside security. You have plenty of time.

thank you. but the american airlines is telling me terminal 0. must be an error on their behalf,

the 0 means they don't know because it could depart from A, B, or C.

  • Layover baggage check?

I will be flying from BWI to London and have a 11 hour layover in Philly. Is there a place to store carryon luggage so I can get out and see the city?

Are you on two separate reservations? Is your connection overnight? If not then you shouldn't have to claim your bags in PHL. If that is the case then there is no baggage storage at PHL.

  • Wait Time

I have a 2 hour 25 minutes layover tomorrow enroute to Canada. Can my sister come and wait with me in the lounge until I depart? My originating flight is from Fort Lauderdale. Thanks

No, if she does not have a boarding pass departing Philadelphia that day she cannot go through security.

Thanks ZAP. I thought I would have been able to sit with her in the arrival lounge before I go through security to the departure lounge

There's no such thing as an "arrival lounge" in US airports.

    Thanks for the info ZAP

  • Layover from Paris 1h55

Hello, I will be flying from Paris to Raleigh, NC on the 1st January and will have a layover in Philadelphia of 1h55. Is this enough time? I have never been to the States so have no idea how much time I should count for customs, security check etc.

Yes, that should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.
