Is it possible to walk (rather than take a rather long shuttle ride) from long-term parking to Terminal F, which appears quite near to the south end of the parking lot?
Well, I answered my own question. Yes, you can walk from long-term parking to Terminal F, and presumably from there to other terminals. There is a sidewalk starting at the southeast edge of the lot (by the car entrance there) that goes right to Terminal F in a 5 minute walk. Of course, it may take you longer to walk INSIDE the lot to get to that sidewalk, depending on where you've parked. And it may be a bit hard on your luggage wheels!
What a great idea - Philadelphia Airport has a so-called 'Cell Phone Waiting Lot' for drivers who are picking up an arriving passenger there. The lot can be easly reached from I-95 & Rute 291 with easy signs guiding you to it, and only a one-minute drive from the lot to the baggage claim area.
Note that none of the garages at PHL Airport can accommodate vehicles exceeding 6 feet in height; if you need to park under 24 hours you can use the ground level of the garages at short-term rates; however, if you need to park longer than 24 hours, park in the Economy lot, which is north of Terminal F
I frequently use both the international Terminal A or the domestic Terminal F of Philadelphia airport. If you come by car, park above level 3 of either garages C or D, then go to the new TSA checkpoint, which has a separate line for Southwest Busines Select passengers.
