hi will come from punta cana with aa791 at 5.02pm and then i have to catch connection flight to zuerich at 06.20pm. is this enough? what is the fasted way to get through? arriving and departing is on gate a! thanks a lot!

You have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security. You have less than the minimum international to international connection time of 90 minutes and far less than the 2 hours I recommend.

Hello, I'm flying out of Pittsburgh (with my family and 2 small children). I'm scheduled to arrive in Philadelphia at 8:41 AM and fly to Cancun at 10:05 AM. Is that enough time? Will we go through international security in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia? Thanks!

There is no such thing as "International Security" You will go through regular security in Pittsburgh. In Philadelphia all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

I am traveling from BOS to MCO with a connecting flight in PHL. I do not have any information yet on what gate or terminal I will need to go through once I'm in PHL. My concern is will 38 min be enough ? Will they transfer our baggage as well?

what airlines are you flying? If both tickets are on the same reservation then you don't have to do anything with your bags in PHL.

Both are American Airlines, do you think they will most likely fall In the same terminal for arrival and departure?

Both flights will be in Terminals A, B, or C. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if the flight from Boston is on-time.

All: Flying American Airlines from DAY to PHL later this year. There is only a 45 minute layover. I am concerned that is not enough time to connect to the flight going to Punta Cana. It looks like the flights from Dayton typically arrive at Terminal A, and the flights to Punta Cana leave out of Terminal F. Also, will the bags be automatically put on the connecting flight or will have I to collect them myself? It looks like I will have to catch a shuttle, and just don't know if this is enough time especially with flight being International. Thanks for your help.

You have the terminals backwards. You don't have to do anything with your bags in Philadelphia on the way to Punta Cana. You have enough time if the flight from Dayton is on-time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Time required for connection from Halifax to Dallas on American

I am looking at a flight arriving from Halifax at 8:11 am (American Eagle/Republic)with departure to Dallas at 9:32 am (American). Will I have time to make this? Is anything more required than getting from gate to gate? Will I be able to check bag through or will I have to retrieve and recheck in Phil?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Halifax. You don't have to do anything with your checked bags in Philadelphia. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

    Thank you so much!

Can you check a bag at B/C when flying out of F? I would prefer to clear security (TSA Pre-check) at B/C and take shuttle to F. Concerned that the bag might not make it!

Yes, I'm fairly sure you can.

    Thank you!

Hi, flying from Cncun to Manchester UK, via PHL with American Airlines. Unsure of terminal. Will we have to collect baggage and recheck? Thanks

Both flights will be in Terminal A. Yes, upon arrival in PHL you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security.

Many thanks, the flight from Cancun arrives at 7pm, and the flight to Manchester departs at 8:55pm. Will this be enough time to make the connection?

That's just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I'm traveling from cleveland to PHL (Terminal F arrival), then have to catch a flight to Boston(Terminal B departure) in 50mins. I have a single ticket with AA and don't have to check-in again. I always traveled with atleast 90mins connection but not less. So is there any suggestion that I can expect while transiting.

Just take the shuttle bus. You should have enough time if the flight from Cleveland is on-time.

  • New E-F Secure connector

According to the airport website the Philadelphia airport has a new E-F secure connector to use for walking from Terminal F to all other terminals. The webs site says it takes 15 minutes. Has anyone walked this route? Is it fast/easy to find? If one takes the shuttle bus instead are they quick? How long does that take? Have an upcoming flight with a little over an hour to change planes. Will land at Terminal F. and will depart from A, B, or C. Is an hour enough assuming the arriving plane is on time?

I suggest the shuttle - especially if you're going all the way to A.

Hi, One more question: flying Halifax- PHL AmerEagle, terminal change to fly to SJU. I assume we have to clear US customs/imm in PHL. Connection time 90 minutes enough? thx!

You assume incorrectly. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Halifax. All you have to do in PHL is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

    Thank you!

Hi, flying AA from SJU to PHL. Terminal change to A. Eagle flight to Halifax with 75minutes. Enough?

You will arrive in Terminal A, B, or C and depart from Terminal C or F. If you need to go to F there is a shuttle inside security. if connecting between A/B/C you can just walk. You have enough time.

I have about a two hour layover and I have to go from Terminal F to Terminal A. Is that enough time? Will I have to go through security again?

Yes, that is plenty of time. There is a shuttle inside security from Terminal F to Terminal A.

I have 3 hours between my arrival time in PHL from London until my flight to MSP. Is that enough time to clear customs, get thru security and then be at the gate to catch my flight?

Yes, that should be enough time.

if I arrive from American eagle and have a 62 min layover to leave with American airlines to Orlando is that enough time. I read American eagle uses terminal f and American airlines uses a b or c

Some American Eagle flights use Terminals B and C. American uses A, B, and C. You have enough time. If you have to go to F there is a shuttle inside security and all other terminals are connected inside security by walkways.

    thank you
