  • 1 hour 30 mins for connection (YUL-PHL-PIT)

I am flying from Montreal to Pittsburgh via Philadelphia. I will have 1 hour 30 mins to go from Terminal F to Terminal B. Would that be enough? I am worried about the US immigration. Do I have to go through immigration at Philadelphia, or do I go through preclearance at Montreal? I will only have carry-ons.

You will go through preclerance in Montreal. All you have to do is take the shuttle bus from F to B. You should have plenty of time.

  • Lisbon to Detroit via Philadelphia
    Apr 15, 2015
Hello ~ I am looking at a returning flight from Lisbon, Portugal to Detroit, MI via Philadephia. The returning flight from Lisbon has a 1 hour 55 minute layover in Philadelphia before my connection to Detroit. Will this be ample time to clear customs and make my connections? I will be traveling on US Airways. Thanks!

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • transfers between terminal F and terminal A

Our US Airways flight lands at 5:12 pm and our next flight leaves at 6:25 pm in Terminal A (don't know which one yet) - and realize there is a shuttle to take - will we have enough time w/o having to make a mad dash to the gate? Thanks in advance for the help!

Yes, that should be plenty of time if the first flight is on-time.

Thx! Key words are "if on time" For the first flight. How much of a delay could there be and still be able to make our flight going from terminal F to A?

I think your flight could arrive as late as 5:45 or 5:50 and you'd be OK

Hello, I am on international flight from LHR connecting in PHL to RDU and need to change from Terminal A West to Terminal B. Can you please help me with below. Q1. First go through Immigration? where ? Q2. Collect Baggage ? Where? Q3. Go through Customs? Where as an location? closer to A or B terminal? Q4. Transfer Luggage exactly where? its US airways connection? Q5. Will I go through security check again? before or after luggage transfer? Q6. Any shuttle service? if so, how far? Will I have to carry luggage to shuttle? Thank You.

You will arrive in Terminal A, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through us customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk immediately after. All these things are right after each other and you will be funneled there - it's not possible to get lost. Then you will go up to the departure level and through security and walk to your departure gate. You won't have to take a shuttle.

I'm taking flights AA741 and AA719 from Madrid to San Francisco, with layover of 2h 30 min at PHL. So I was wondering if I'd have to pick up my luggage when connexioning flights. Also if that's time enough. I'm spanish, and I booked those flights together. thank u

Yes, that should be enough time. Yes, you will claim your baggage after going through US Immigration in Philadelphia, then go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.

Im flying on QATAR AIRWAYS from DOH and lands at Terminal A, and a domestic connection from PHL to BNA on US Airways flying out from Terminal F. Time in between is an hour and 55 minutes. After reading all these comments and reviews I decided not to have checked luggage so that I will have extra minutes to make the connecting flight in Terminal F. How long does it normally take to get through C&I for international passengers? and do i get my boarding pass straight to BNA from where I am flying from or do I have to check in again at PHL to get a new boarding pass before flying on US Airways?

You should have plenty of time. Qatar airways should be able to issue your US Airways boarding pass.

  • Short Layover Before A Connection
    Apr 12, 2015
We only have a short 90 minute layover before catching a connection and I'm worried about the timing. Our flight (US Airways): Cancun-PHL: Arrive at 4:23 Departure PHL at 5:55- Halifax NS Canada Do I have to clear customs in Philadelphia or is my luggage just transferred to my next flight and I clear in Halifax? Thanks!

Yes, in Philadelphia you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. Then go through security and to your departure gate. You will barely have enough time. You will go through Canadian immigration when you get to Halifax.

  • 35 minute domestic-to-domestic connection
    Apr 10, 2015
US wants to give me a 35 minute connection from ORD to connect to a flight to SJU. Is this possible and will my checked luggage make it?

Yes, it's possible, but it doesn't leave much time to spare in case your first flight is delayed.

  • Philadelphia terminal d to terminal a walking time
    Apr 7, 2015
Is there a transport between D and A. My wife can't walk very fast

There are moving walkways between all the terminals. It's not really that far. If she has a lot of trouble walking you should request wheelchair service.

I'm traveling from Vegas to Los Angeles to Philly and then home to Halifax. I have 1 hour and 10 min. to go from Term B to Term C in PHL. Do I have to go through Customs in Philadelphia or Halifax? If PHL is that enough time?

You will go through Canadian Immigration when you get to Halifax. All you have to do in PHL is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.

  • DUB-EWR (Connecting in PHL)
    Mar 29, 2015
Hi - Flying from Dublin into EWR with a 2 hour 5 minute connection in PHL. Will we have to collect our bags and re-check them in before travelling from Terminal A to Terminal F? All booked on same itinerary. First flight is operated by US Airways and connecting flight is operated by "Air Wisconsin dba US Airways Express"

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Philadelphia is take the shuttle bus from your arrival terminal to Terminal F. You should have plenty of ttime.

  • Munich - Philadelphia - Cincinnati connection
    Mar 20, 2015
Hello, I´m flying tomorrow morning from Munich to Philadelphia and there I have a 2hr 4min time gap to take the next flight to Cincinnati. My plane arrives at the Terminal A (I don´t know if East or West) and then I have to go to the Terminal F to take the next flight. The question is, will I make it on time or will I have to run like hell? Considering that I have to take my luggage, go through C&I, go through security and then go to terminal F, I´m not so sure. Plus, how often does the shuttle leave from Terminal A? is it possible to go by foot from terminal A to F? Because if I have to wait for the bus for too long, I might as well run for it.

The shuttles to Terminal F are very frequent you have to take the shuttle, you can't walk there. You should have enough time if your flight from Munich is on-time.

  • FRA- PHL-RSW connection
    Mar 15, 2015
Hello, I am traveling from FRA to PHL in September with a gap of 1hr 45 min. Arriving in Terminal A and Departing in Terminal B. Will this be enough time to go through customs and make the next flight? What are the chances of the airport changing terminals or gates?

That should be enough time. Any gate that a flight to RSW would depart from is directly connected to Terminal A.
