International TransitMay 30, 201320I have a friend coming on US Air from Germany connecting with US Air Express (Terminal F) for Toronto with limited knowledge of English language. He has two hours and 15 minutes to make it, if flight does not get delayed. I have read from others about the process and I am writing to him detailed instructions. Can someone please tell me exactly where in the baggage re-check is located after custom clearance in Terminal A. Also what will be the quickest way (escalator up or down? and where) for him to reach Gate A1 for the shuttle. I really appreciate help.Warisposted on Wed, May 29All international arrivals at PHL are processed in Terminal A-West (TA-West(which shares ticketing level with TA-East). From stepping off the plane until going through customs clearance, he will follow all other passengers: After going through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance - for baggage re-check follow signs to baggage re-check and to US Airways shuttle (easy to recognize). The US Airways shuttle leaves at gate A1, taking him to gate F14 of Terminal F, which hasConcourses 1 with gates F1-F9, Concourse 3 with gates F24-39, and Concourse 2 with gates F10-23. He has plenty of time for transfer.thmay13posted on Thu, May 30

Arrival Term.l A - Departure Term FMay 31, 201351Hello everybody i will arrive on PHL Terminal A at June, 15th 13.55 and have to get my next flight to Cleveland on Terminal F at 15.45. Is this doable? What is the best way to get from A to F. Should i take this shuttle bus? Thank you very much!C-Jackposted on Sun, May 261 person likes this post [ Like ]You have enough time. Note, however, that if you are an international arrival at PHL, you will arrive at Terminal A-West where you go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance and recheck-in your bags, before proceeding to Terminal F. Transfer from Terminal A-East/A-West via US Airways shuttle bus is at gate A1 to Terminal F, gate F14.sumay13posted on Sun, May 26Is it sure that i have to re-check my baggage? My flight to PHL is US Airways and my connecting flight (to Cleveland) is also US Airways. Should the baggage not be transferred to my connecting flight? Maybe one more question to my flight back. I will arrive at PHL Terminal C and my connecting flight is departing from Terminal A in PHL. But i do onlöy have 1:00 hour time get my connecting flight at Terminal A. I think this will be too short. How is the baggage handled in this case (flight back)? Thank you.C-Jackposted on Mon, May 27When you arrive in the US from overseas you always have to claim your baggage, then go through customs and re-check. You haven't said if your first flight is international or not. If it's not then you don't have to worry about re-checking.ZAPposted on Mon, May 27Sorry, i forgot to mention that i come in with an internatiomal flight from Germany. But on my way back i will arrive at PHL Terminal C coming from CLE and then depart from Terminal A back to Germany. That means that i do not have to recheck-in my luggage in PHL. So i think one hour should be enough time to get from Terminal C to A, isn't it?C-Jackposted on Tue, May 28

Thank you!Manuposted on Mon, Apr 151 person likes this post [ Like ]On the way from Paris, you will have to claim your baggage in PHL in immigration then re-check it with US Airways after customs. connection from Terminal F to AApr 9, 201334I am on a flight from Philly to Munich. I arrive from ILM at Terminal F and will need to get to Terminal A for a flight that leaves 1.30 hrs later. There seems to be quite a bit of distance from F to A, will I make it on time? Also do I need to pick up my checked luggage on arrival at terminal F?Lillyposted on Tue, Apr 91 person likes this post [ Like ]There's a shuttle you can take from F. You will not have to claim baggage checked at the counter in ILM, only any gate-checked baggage.ZAPposted on Tue, Apr 91 person likes this post [ Like ]Thanks, how many mins does the shuttle take to transfer from terminal F to A?Lillyposted on Tue, Apr 91 person likes this post [ Like ]

FRA - PHL - SWFApr 2, 201341Hi. I will fly from Frankfurt to Newburgh (SWF) connecting in PHL with US Airways on Saturday, 20 July. I assume I will arrive in A West and depart from F. Can I take the shuttle without going through security again or can I also walk the whole way? My layover time is over 5 hours. Thank you!Stephposted on Tue, Apr 2Since you're an international arrival you'll have to go through immigration and security again in PHL. You'll probably want to go back through security in Terminal A, then take the shuttle over to F (on the secure side) when you're ready.ZAPposted on Tue, Apr 2At PHL, after passport check, picking up bag, going through customs clearance and re-checking in your bag, take the shuttle bus to Terminal F, where it arrives at gate F14 - no need for security check. TF has Concourses 1 with gates F1-F9, Concourse 3 with gates F24-39, and Concourse 2 with gates F10-23. There is also a US Airways Club in the secured area. You have plenty of time to each & shop, if you want to.tuapr13posted on Tue, Apr 21 person likes this post [ Like ]Thank you! So just to be clear -- after immigration and customs I will re-check my bags in the same hall and then just walk over to security check with my carry-on?Stephposted on Tue, Apr 2

Identify Terminals specific airlineMar 30, 201310Suggestion for PHL website-- can you please identify which airlines are associated with a particular terminal? I've been on this page for 1/2 hr. and this is not shown. Thank you.Frustratedposted on Fri, Mar 29

connecting from terminal A to BMar 24, 201320Hi, I am traveling from Paris to San Fransisco via PHL. I arrive in terminal A and depart from Terminal B for San Fransisco and the connection time is 2 hours. Would be enough time to make the transit? Moreover do I need to reclaim my baggage in PHL and check it in again for the San Fransisco flight? Both flights are with US airways.Katerinaposted on Thu, Mar 21Yes, you will have to claim your bags in immigration and then re-check them with US Airways after you exit from customs. That should be enough time.ZAPposted on Thu, Mar 21
