Hello, I am flying from boston to PHL into terminal C and then connecting in terminal A to get to Cancun. My layover is only 35 minutes will this be enough time?

Sorry, it is US airways for both flights

Yes, that is enough time if your first flight is on-time and you run. It obviously leaves very little time to spare if there are any delays on your first flight.

Great thank you for your help. I was worried about my checked bag getting to my next plane but I think I should be okay. I have never been to this airport before so I was unsure of distance between terminals. Fingers crossed!

  • Connecting PHL to CVG

My flight has been delayed flying from Manchester UK to PHL to catch a connecting flight to Cincinnati CVG and now only have 50 mins layover. I have to check bags and go through customs. Is that enough time ?

No, that is not enough time. If your flight is not today, you need to contact US Airways or your travel agent to request a different connection. If it is today you will just have to try it and hope that you arrive in Philadelphia early or your CVG flight is delayed or you will be rebooked to CVG once you arrive in PHL.

  • Question about connecting flight in Philadelphia

Hi I am flying from Toronto to Philadelphia (with US Airways) and then I have a connecting flight to Barcelona (with Finnair). My layover is only 2 hours long.. I got worried that I won't have enough time if I have to go through customs. But from what I've been reading on the forum it seems that you do not need to get your bags and go through customs if you bought the tickets together. Is that correct??

Note that both flights will be operated by US Airways. Finnair doesn't fly to Philadelphia. You will not have to go through Customs. You will pre-clear US Customs in Toronto and will go through Schengen Immigration and customs in Barcelona. All you have to do in Philadelphia is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

Thank you very much for your reply. How is it that Finnair does not fly to Philadelphia when on my Itinerary details it says my connecting flight will be with this airline?

It's called a codeshare. If you look more closely at your itinerary it should say "operated by US Airways" or something like that.

  • Travelling from MAN in UK to Montego Bay via PHL

Hi We are travelling to Montego Bay in Jamacia via PHL. All with american airways, Both flights were booked at the same time. We have a4 hr layover on the outward leg and 2 Hrs in PHL on the return. Can we . a)Book the luggage through to Jamacia in Manchester b) avoid going through immigration in PHL as we will be in transit through US but not visiting or taking domestic flights.

Please note that both flights will be operated by US Airways. On both directions in PHL you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, and go through security. No airport in the US allows international to international connections without going through US Immigration and Customs.

I am traveling buffalo to Sanfrancisco through american airlines. I have 44min layover. Will i make it on time?

Yes, that should be enough time. Note that both flights will be operated by US AIrways. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates at PHL are connected inside security, but if you arrive in Terminal F from Buffalo you will have to take a shuttle bus.

We will be flying from Shannon in Ireland and we will have cleared US Customs in Ireland prior to travel. We will be with someone who will be using a wheelchair. Just want to know is 1 hour 40min enough time to get from whatever terminal we arrive in to a connecting flight to Lexington (LEX), Terminal F i think. Thanks

Yes, that should be plenty of time. The Wheelchair assistance person will either bring you on the shuttle bus or provide you with special transportation to Terminal F.

Hi - our daughter is flying Jet Blue into PHL and then onto Qatar airlines to Doha. She has 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to Terminal A. We are wondering if she has to claim her bags from Jet Blue and then what happens as she rechecks and gets her ticket for Qatar? Will she have enough time? Thanks! JFB

Did you purchase her tickets together in one purchase or separately? If together then that is enough time. All she has to do is go from her arrival gate to her departure gate. If separately, then she will have to claim her bags from JetBlue and bring them to Qatar and 2 hrs 15 mins is barely enough time to do so.

You will have to claim and recheck your bags. Should be an hour.

  • Getting from Trminal D to F

My wife and I will arrive on Alaska (terminal D) and depart on US Airways Express (Terminal F). Since they do not codeshare we need to claim baggage at D and get to US Airways check-in at Terminal F. Alsaka will provide a wheelchair for my wife to D baggage claim. How do we get from there to Terminal F?

As a clarification, my wife can walk short distances (100 feet or so)

If you purchased your tickets separately, yes, you will have to claim your bags from Alaska and re-check with US Airways. However, they do interline so if you bought your tickets together your bags will be transferred. If you made two separate bookings you will need to request wheelchair service from US Airways as well (maybe you should call them anyway and make sure that it is in her US Airways record). Also, if you need to re-check your bags you can use any US airways counter, not necessarily the one in F. F is connected to the other terminals by a shuttle bus inside security.

Thanks for the info. Yes, tickets were booked separately. So, after picking up luggage at D and giving up Alaska wheelchair we will be outside of security. Can we walk from outside baggage claim D to US Airways counter at F (where we will pick up wheelchair from US Airways)?

Terminal F does not even have its own check in counters. Use the counters in E. Yes, you can walk from D to E outside security.

i am flying from canada to phl through us airways and have a connecting flight to doha...where is the qatar airways check in desk? do i have to check in at the qatar airways desk? is two hour enough to make it?

If you purchased your tickets together you will not have to go to the Qatar Airways check in Desk. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Canada unless you are coming from Quebec City. All you will have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. if you arrive in Terminal F, it is connected to the other terminals inside security by a shuttle bus. If you purchased two separate tickets you will have to bring your bags to the Qatar Airways desk in Terminal A. If you purchased your tickets together you should have plenty of time.

    thank you..i bought them together.
